I'll be trying to recreate myself... "an acquired taste" would be the polite way to describe my physical appearance, LOL! Maker help Cullen, poor bastard!

From what I have seen in your vids, you're quite attractive. So I'm sure your Inquisitor is gonna look great ;)

So, my goal after watching the introduction to the advisors is to find some way to both convince the templars to help suppress the breach, and convince the mages to help me power up my fade-hand. Pleeeeeeease let there be some sort of compromise option this time!

I'd like it if we were able to do something like that, as it'd also serve to bring the two embittered enemies together and show that working together is in the best interests of everyone?

And I kind of want to give the order;

"Templars, suppress that Breach more than a nun's sex drive! Mages, prepare to overclock me like a mother, Green Lantern ain't got sh*t on me!"

Without knowing anything else, I'm inclined to take Cullen's advice. Demons are pouring out of the Breach. Mages are like candy to demons. What could possibly go wrong?

Sadly, it doesn't seen it's going to happen. I'd like the option to make them ceasefire and form a temporary alliance (with some cons howewer. I don't want this choice to be the best one) since I'm neutral in the conflict (and first character will be external by default).
It does make sense We don't have the Power or influence to make the force an alliance. We're not that strong at the start of the game, and We don't have any powerful backup on our side.
I just hope that in choosing either side I can clearly state I'm neither pro-Mage and pro-templar though.

I just would really like the option to make a choice that's not "mages or templars". It made me very sad in DA2 :(

True, but I thought the idea was that the mages would just give your mark the power up. We don't know if they need to be near the Breach to do that or can do it off-site? It could be possible we'd be able to get the mage's power-up and also take Cullen's advice to take Templars with you to help fight off demons and seal the Breach?

Demons are now in our world though. While they'll prefer mages, non-mages might be easier to possess.
While this fact (as their respective power) will influence my decision, a Major role will have the factions' goals and behaviour in the hinterlands. Which, based on what was Stated before and in the report yesterday, it's equally negative.

Still seems a bit risky. I like pushing big red buttons, but I save it for second playthrough.

I think the choice will be binary. Especially since there will be both mages and templars after this. Besides, they mentioned a Skyhold tower for either mages or templars.

Bioware removed the chance of compromise, because there is no compromise.

I agree.
I just hope both factions show a Good side before I have to make the decision.

I thought this was confirmed? Which is why I'm going with Mages, there are rarely compromises in war.

I can let the whole god-d*mned world burn while I share drinks in a tavern with the undead, is what. People can't get their **** together, I'll just sit on my a** until they come begging to me for help

Perhaps the Inquisitor has to consume elfroot, as a Popeye-eque power-up?

Hehe, well that's one way to handle things. I plan for my Inquisitor to be a male version of Morrigan's personality tbh, I can see a lot of companions butting heads with me.
