I think I am finally coming to a decision, and that's to do my originally planned first playthrough, Auren Lavellan, Dalish archer, and not anticipate any romances. If I do fall for one of the guys then okay, but if not, it's okay. But that will be my most authentic first playthrough, making decisions based on me, and playing the class I love most.

Well my original plan was to do my Minx Adaar, but then I decided to romance Dorian first, so I switched to my Sin Adaar. Plus I like Sin's personality more. He's essentially sarcastic Hawke

My first playthrough is always a random, spur of the moment one. All I know at the moment is that it will be female, and she will have awful hair!

I will most likely play many times in shifts. I'm not sure who is first runner though, I kind of want to pick someone I don't care about that much since I don't want to mess up Milica's story for example.

My first playthrough is definitely going to be a female mage who's going to be with Cullen, but I haven't decided much more beyond that, like what she'll look like. I really want to make: a human female with super-fair skin, dark brown hair, and blue eyes; another human female with black hair, medium-dark-tan skin, and golden eyes; and either a human or elven female with very dark skin, very short curly black hair, and honey brown eyes. That doesn't count the dwarf female, the Qunari female, or any of the males I want to play, because I haven't gotten that far. I will have to make up my mind after I finish my first playthrough!
Human female mage, KE, and as Zevran says; utterly gorgeous I just go my own way as I play. Not one for planning my character.. though I think I will stay on the more serious/aggressive side, but fair. That's how I usually roll.
But with the new trailer hot damn. I was also throwing my panties and money at my screen, but nothing happened

I'm not even sure what my Quizzy's stance will be on the whole Herald thing. I'm thinking it may be more fun to embrace the title as Herald than to deny it. I'd love to do at least one playthrough where my character is a religious fanatic who seriously believes they're the herald of Andraste.
Hmmm I had decided on a human mage first for the mage reactions but now I am really wanting to do my dalish mage first just because of the herald angle. I really want to see how that plays out with a non human first time in so I guess I will probably go with elf mage. Definitely romancing Cullen.

I hear you on this But my first playthrough often ends up being canon, and now we have the Keep, so I don't feel so bad about making "wrong" decisions. For example, in DAO, I did not understand the importance of persuasion so was unable to persuade Alistair to sleep with Morrigan, so I had to do it! Also, in that playthrough, I romanced Zev b/c he was really my only option, but in retrospect I didn't feel he really belonged with Zevran (my city elf does) and so in the Keep I killed this Warden >.> *is ebil*
So Auren (me) is gonna make a lot of mistakes, probably get some folk killed... though please let's not make him sleep with someone he doesn't want to sleep with, oh god, never again, never again!

I'm having my fingers crossed for qunari hairstyle patch/dlc so I don't want to play with Valpur and Skye before I get decent hair for them.
I don't want to mess up Milica and her romance with Cullen so not him.
I think I will start with Michal or Tamarin then:
Michal Trevelyan:
- Believes he's second coming of Andraste and will embrace the title.
- Priviledged and sheltered noble who is very pro-Chantry and might not be aware of problems of common folk. Also against apostates (who aren't in Circle), qunaris, Tevinter, dalish...
- Romance Cassandra, who hopefully will keep him in line.
Tamarin Lavellan:
- Egoist and opportunist.
- Hates being dalish elf.
- Will romance Iron Bull now.. but probaply will flirt with many.
Has everyone forgotten Dumat? Back in Legacy DLC you could do the ritual to release Dumat on the altar (or destroy the altar...me)....
Except that we're left to believe that while the altar may have power, Dumat is "dead" since Corypheus wonders why he can't hear his call anymore?
That being said, it'd be interesting if instead of being destroyed when a Grey Warden kills an Archdemon, the Warden's proximity merely shorts out the ability to soul-surf, causing the Old God's soul to become disembodied within the aether? (Think Voldemort in the early Harry Potter books.)
First character is planned out, the rest are kind of nebulous ATM.

Im going Dalish Powah first me thinks. Dalish mage (not sure yet about specs), with keep setup with my dalish warden, lots of pro elf/dalish decisions and every interesting char i can think up surviving (so loghain, architect, zathrian etc). Cant remember what i setup hawke as being, except same ilk with interesting chars, think i mightve gone pro-templar with templar carver.
Anyhooows im gonna decorate skyhold in dalish carvings and use every opportunity going to call people 'shems' and then gonna meander about being surprisingly amusing and nice... just to be really random
I need help....
You know I'm going to rock a warrior first...but the recent footage is making me think that sword and shield might be better than two handed sword....that reflecting dragon attack! So any opinions? Two handed was great in DA2 but meh in DAO where dual wielding warrior was available.
