Totally not a self insert, right?
Nah if I was playing myself in Inquisition I'd tell them all to screw off within five minutes of gameplay take my horse and ride off into the sunset laughing as demons ate everyone.

@Noxpanda, let us know how that goes, sounds like good fun! ![]()
Im going Dalish Powah first me thinks. Dalish mage (not sure yet about specs), with keep setup with my dalish warden, lots of pro elf/dalish decisions and every interesting char i can think up surviving (so loghain, architect, zathrian etc). Cant remember what i setup hawke as being, except same ilk with interesting chars, think i mightve gone pro-templar with templar carver.
Anyhooows im gonna decorate skyhold in dalish carvings and use every opportunity going to call people 'shems' and then gonna meander about being surprisingly amusing and nice... just to be really random

Oh yeah, Auren's totally pro-Dalish and pro-Creators and thinks shem are all wicked and stupid
although I will give him credit; he will probably not think ill of non-Dalish elves and will not dislike Sera, and as for Solas, I think he will look up to him, sort of as a second Keeper (he'll miss his Keeper, surrogate mother type, methinks).

Yeah you do have to rein it in a little, don't you
Cause I think that would be my own similar reaction....
First playthrough will be Ariana Trevelyan; archer, possibly Artificer/possibly Tempest. Half spoiled rich kid, half lonely saw clown. Fiercely Andrastian, extremely uncomfortable with being called Herald of Andraste. Pro-Andrastianism/not necessarily Chantry lackey, pro-Templars/not necessarily anti-mage. Will romance Cullen, obviously. Cullen first, no matter what.
Comes with background of archer Elissa Cousland (RIP), warrior Noelle Caron, and archer Rowan Hawke. Kickass ladies everywhere, almost a little archer dynasty there if Noelle hadn't insisted on Sword/Shield. Damn Orlesians.
The rest of my playthroughs:
That all depending on whether I don't just throw my hands up and decide to romance Cullen all over again on a second run. ![]()
Yea, so I'm definitely going to roll a warrior first-off. My Warden was a rogue and Hawke was a mage ... I need a warrior this time around. But it wasn't until I saw the "shield-tapping-with-the-sword" taunt, there, that I knew I was gonna be rolling a shield warrior. Yay for making decisions!

XD yep. I wouldn't be able to run away fast enough. I swear I smashed the "I'm not siding with either of you" button like five times my first playthrough of DA2. My sad face when I kept getting pushed back to the YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE! Such a tease I say ![]()
But I don't think my mage and Leliana will get along. She's blunt...snarky but blunt.

By the way, does anyone have it written down somewhere what emotions the symbols on the dialogue wheel correspond to? I want to keep that handy so I'm making the right selections for my characters.
Fëanor Lavellan. First, KE.Does everyone have their first playthroughs planned?
Wow about 20 minutes passed since I typed that lol Anyway, anyone? I think I am finally coming to a decision, and that's to do my originally planned first playthrough, Auren Lavellan, Dalish archer, and not anticipate any romances. If I do fall for one of the guys then okay, but if not, it's okay. But that will be my most authentic first playthrough, making decisions based on me, and playing the class I love most.

My list of several Inquisitors are about a dozen pages back, I kind of went a little overboard... ![]()
Although, I think people might enjoy my description of Ren Cadash...

I think I've just added KE to my nebulous plan...

Leliana's tone of voice when Cass calls her the spymaster xD ![]()
Yeah in DA2 you could be neutral up until that final decision; I mean they could've caved like ME did and include something similar to the "shoot the star child" option
LOL It did suck to have to pick sides, especially since picking the templars basically makes me feel like I'm signing up to commit genocide on innocents, but oh well.
Hopefully we won't encounter anything like that in DAI.
Fëanor Lavellan. First, KE.
Clever, a bit sarcastic, diplomatic, and relaxed.
Neutral to the Mage-templar issue. Believe in a new homeland for Elves, but he think cooperation with humans is necessary.
Will Romance Josephine.
I think he and Josie will be very similar and will have a very friendly, comfy sort of relationship ![]()
My First character is going to be me...Well not literately but you all get my point.Probably female human, because unfortunately my ears aren't pointy enough in RL to be an elf and I'm nowhere near qunari or dwarf height, and probably a mage because the circle is the most likely place to have tons of books and looks a bit like a college(If you ignore the templars and the harrowing etc...Also my current assignments are a bit harrowing) but I guess I could also RP a bookworm rogue or something, but alas I'm no noble.
This is mostly because I want to test the waters first by playing more spontaneously,it will help me be more "in character" in my next playthroughs,if I know what's going on.As for romances, well I have no idea whether I'll actually romance anyone, but I'll definitely try to romance Cullen (and fail miserably).
As for the rest here they are
2nd:Laurelin Lavellan,female elven mage,Cullen
-Down to earth sensible
-Mysterious and open minded
-Pro magic
3rd:Aidan Trevelyan,make human rogue,Cassandra
-Passionate and Jovial
-Romantic
-Black sheep of his family
4th:Jarnsaxa Adaar,female qunari rogue,Iron Bull
-Stoic and Cold
-Capable leader
-Ends justify the means,neutral
5th:Harald Cadash, male dwarf warrior, forever alone(originally Dorian, but DUUDE seriously stop looking like my relatives!)
-Honorable
-Stoic
-Surprisingly good sense of humour
6th:Alexander Trevelyan,male human mage,Josephine
-Grumpy
-Pro circle
-Intelligent with hidden sensitivities(He loves romantic poetry)
7th:Valindra Lavellan,female elven warrior,Solas
-Determinded
-Obnoxious
-Foolhandy,pro-Dalish
8th:Ygritte Cadash,female dwarf rogue,Sera
-Laid back
-Quiet
-Brilliant
Group picture
Rolling human mage (Anais Trevelyan) first PT - I love mages, plus, I want to see how the story is with a mage at it's center.
Second PT is my Lavellan, Terrwyn. Still deciding whether or not if she'll be a hunter or mage - leaning towards mage because I love mages reasons.
Third PT...NO IDEA.
I think out of those, Qunari mage will be a lot of fun.Well after rereading the class backgrounds, I have it narrowed down to human rogue, dwarven rogue, elven rogue, and qunari mage. Personality is a good bit firmer: no-nonsense, practical, deeply concerned with being a good ruler and building a strong inquisition. Prefers politics and espionage to military solutions.
Leliana's tone of voice when Cass calls her the spymaster xD

Yeah and the look on her face made me lose it ![]()
Yep. *sigh* Oh well.
And agreed. Or at least be able to side with the other side because we feel their more useful to us not because we believe in their cause or whatnot.
Oh man I have a bunch of Inquisitors ready but I´m having trouble deciding my first playthrough
I´m definitely playing as a dalish but I´m not sure if I want to roll Arleth Lavellan who´s going to be a rift mage and is going to romance Cullen or Nahal Lavellan, a tempest who´s going to romance Solas. (I´m not even sure about the names yet haha) After that I´ve got Anya Cadash who I think is going to be a artificer and she´s going to be all about team YOLO (aaand she´s going to ride the bull ) Trystane Lavellan(assassin) for Dorian and then I´ve got Talhissra Adaar for Blackwall, not sure if I want her to be a warrior or a mage. Lol there you go,the inquisitors that I´ve planned so far ![]()
@ Curious Artemis
In same position as selection wheel.
Fist/Aggressive Thumbs up/Ok
Folded arms/Stoic I didn't catch this one but I think sarcastic/mask
Head/Confused Tears/Upset
Female human mage for my first run. Amara Trevelyan, possibly a Knight Enchanter. I loved the looks of the specialization in that livestream. Also, group heal!!
My character is mainly going to be confused about the whole "Herald" and mark on the hand thing. She's not going to resent people calling her it, but she's not going to acknowledge it either. And she'll probably be winging it like I'll be throughout the many decisions of the game.

Great name, BTW. Hopefully he turns out better than his original namesake ![]()

I'm really tempted to run a playthrough, where I'll constanly respond with the tears for my inquisitor !Might do the same with the fists.
I do hope we are able to express this level of nuance in our personalities!
I hope we can at least express this through conversations. Ari is definitely not comfortable with being called Herald of Andraste (because that's an honor reserved for truly great people, such as Andraste herself being the Maker's herald), but if Cassandra calls her out on declining the name, I want to be able to explain, hey I'm Andrastian to the bone I just don't like being granted such an honor for doing nothing worthy of it. Or if I side with Cullen in this first moment (which I totally will, because Ariana is a just regular person and doesn't trust magic yet), I want to be able to explain, hey nothing personal with mages I'm just going with the most sensible decision right now. The more dialogue options we get to avoid a simplistic, binary black/white personality, the better.
