Looks like the GW to me. Cullen is the one with the red armor i believe at the end of the trailer when they are by the table. so i think it's GW and not CUllen. could be wrong though.

I think it's the Grey Warden. It's his armor, his sword, and black hair.

I do admit, I miss the mole a lot. He seemed more real and less "tv pretty" and I kinda liked it that way. being possibly clean shaven is pretty weird, too.  Maybe DG gave the "clean cut" description again and the artists just kept going. I felt he at least resembled his DA:O character design more that some other characters did in DA2. I'll have to reserve judgement on this model until I get a proper look at it and see it in motion. Everyone looks a little different again, obviously. Of course, seeing a talking clip will help a lot. IMO, everyone looks like they have more rounded than angular features these days ...

 

I liked him best red-headed, mole'd, and wavy-nosed in DAO too. But once we see him with GE's voice I'm sure it will all click. And from what we can tell so far (1) I think there's still hope for stubble / a beard and (2) I have high hopes for his hair! Even though it's not the same short and curly style it looks inviting for the Inquisitor to run their hands through. And I bet the writers are still iterating with the design people.

 

In DAO and DA2, was there any evidence that he was taller than other characters? It seems like that's mentioned in every fanfiction about him, but I was wondering if that was just a broadly shared headcanon or if it was supported by the games before now.

 

EDIT: Also Sera is way prettier and DHMG is way hotter than I was expecting!

 

DOUBLE EDIT: And the whole thing is making me wonder who DG's "10x hotter than I asked for" character is...

I know this is kinda silly, but one of the things I'm going to miss most about a Cullen NPC vs Companion romance is potentially random kisses wherever we happen to be, a la DA:O romances. That could always cheer me up, especially with some of the party reactions!

you know I have to admit I am not happy about the NPC thing. Right now that seems more like fanservice than Cullen-as-companion. But I'm sure it will be done well, so I'll deal.  

 

But honestly, and I know it's only a split second we see him, but in that split second it looks like they put a Ken doll in for Cullen. I hope in game when he's moving around he looks a little more alive and less plastic.

 

Otherwise, trailer has me squealing and scrambling to find a digital preorder somewhere!
