Or why she has a crow perched on her shoulder, when crows are linked to Morrigan, in Irish mythology?

Because Leliana lives in the loft where they keep the messanger birds. They said it in some news about Skyhold. Shale disapproves!

Maybe that's why she always has that hood on. To avoid getting bird poop in her lovely red hair :wub:

Strength is The Inquisitor. Alix Wilton Regan said so! :lol: And Quizzy is also the one who will tame the lion. He would probably use Josie's poems to kindle the fireplace =]

Right, and there's a hilt behind her Q. I'm with you. It's not odd because there aren't any swords on the card, it's odd because she's the spymaster and a rogue. EDIT: Does the Queen of Swords have a meaning that would make particular sense for Leliana?

By 'Qeen of Staves' do they mean 'Queen of Wands' on the Morrigan card?

And damn, I'm out of 'likes' already!

But Queen of Swords is not a warrior card, it represents the use of intellect. She likes to know everything, then balances what she knows mentally before giving an answer devoid of emotional bias. The standard QoS is also shown with a bird flying overhead, showing keen sight. All very bardic qualities considering the Orlesian Game.

She can also show someone who manipulates people with words.

Staves = Wands

Coins = Pentacles

Just differences between conventions.

Maybe she and Zevran's (now) buddies are working together?

Totally useless piece of information. Leliana is shown with a Raven (black beak, Rooks have a grey beak), and yes Ravens live in Rookeries, but here is something most people don't know:

Ravens like Parrots and Mynah birds have a voicebox, and can be taught to speak. The Legends of Hugin and Munin the Ravens that flew around the world gaining information for Odin...were based on the actual use of Ravens as Messenger birds.

It was that voice acting video, it must be on BioWare youtube channel. She said something about all Inquisitors having strength as their most defining quality. It was the core of her voice acting.

Oh, OK, I remember that. I thought maybe she said something about the cards, and was going to be weirded out that the Twitter thread (where I've been keeping to lately since they're pretty low on spoilers) missed it.  :bandit:

Which bird is Morrigan in that Enemies of Thedas trailer?

@Tishina...Being honest because of the blue cloud around it, it is difficult to see the beak colour, but it looks lighter than the feathers, so I'd say a Crow. However both Crows and Ravens were birds of the Morrigan (Celtic Goddess of War). Crows were connected with death and dying, so would link well with Entropy type magics...which we know Morrigan uses.

Raven

Difference is most obvious in the beaks (Crow, grey and more pointy, Ravens black and blockier), Ravens are also larger and very acrobatic flyers, able to escape and out manoeuvre Hawks and Eagles.

After watching and pausing the video several times at length (and also staring determinedly at Cullen's backside--for science! Well no. But for legit reasons. >.>) I still have no idea how his robe thing works. *growls about cosplay problems* I don't understand the back of it! *wails*

Appropriating Gala's screenshoot because it shows the robe well :ph34r:

eNF9MkG.jpg

Does that help? It's as a long skirt pinned up to let his legs free (well it's a long robe but it goes under the breastplate so it looks like a skirt). If he unpinned it, the fabric would start showing at his waist and run down to his feet, like his old Templar skirts.

I think the video has gone the same way as the dev diaries.

I'm not worried that it hasn't gone gold yet, that's not until it's ready to ship, and we've still got over a month before release.
