I think the tea set Cullen uses is functional, very simple, very practical. White, clean, no fancy decoration, all purpose and little form.

But he can be appreciative of fine and beautiful things, even if it's not in his custom to have a lot of luxury in his life, so he appreciates how exquisitely fancy and intricately crafted the Inquisitor's tea set is. ;) Their cups make an odd match, but it works.

I wonder if he has an ornate commemorative one somewhere, perhaps for his services to the Order, and he gets it out for the Inquisitor when they visit :)

I want there to be a cupboard in the kitchen where all the advisors and companions keep their mugs. And you can tell whose mug it is based on what it looks like.

OT and maybe a teensy bit of shameless self-promotion, but have you heard of "Ever, Jane"? It's a Regency period indie MMO that's just starting up now. :)

I will read Pratchett until I die, I just can't get enough.

I hadn't but I'm intrigued! Once I'm set up in my new place I'll give it a search out :D interesting new thing sounds interesting :)

Quick note that i've locked the Cullenites, Assemble! temp thread and provided a link back to this one.  It'll slowly drop off the threads list over time, but in case anyone needs to reference a post on there here's the link where you can find it: http://forum.bioware...nites-assemble/

(now back to your regularly scheduled Cullen programming)

I'm out of likes, so thank you again!

I can see him now sitting in front of the fire in Skyhold with a mug of tea :) not necessarily a proper teacup because they're so delicate, and maybe a biscuit assortment too :) I think even my wild-child Inquisitor could be persuaded to join him. Now to resist writing and drawing this

With a blizzard outside, and lap blankets to help keep warm? Which has the potential to lead to all sorts of things... :P

Sera probably has a relatively expensive (once) really chipped cup that she stole years ago. Solas probably has a tin can. Vivienne has something in bone china shaped like a swan, and Bull has a mug so big it could hold a pint. Cole has probably put a turnip in the cupboard, not really understanding the point of the exercise :)

Ooooh that is nice indeed. Maybe he has that one set that's also all white but has the Sword of Mercy sculpted and painted in fine golden lines, and he breaks it out only for tea with the Inquisitor. It was maybe a birthday present from Meredith, or a small token from when he was promoted to Knight-Captain, so he treats it very carefully because it's a one of a kind memento of happier times, and only the Inquisitor is worth bringing it out for. Aaah, that's some lovely imagery.

(don't mind me, I have a lot of feelings about Meredith being a sort of projected mother figure for Cullen before she went off the hooks)

Cassandra has something that looks functional, but along the handle, you're able to feel little indents. Upon closer inspection, the indents are actually little hearts carved into the hard porcelain.

Dorian has something lovely and fine, obviously expensive, though not as over the top as Vivienne's. It's a relic from a past life, a reminder of home.

Blackwall has a tankard with the Grey Warden griffon on it. There are scratched on names on the bottom of the tin, the names of past comrades who have moved on to their Calling, or gave their life for the cause.

Imagine having to spend an entire party avoiding someone like Mr. Collins while also trying to get close to the Darcy of your dreams! All while juggling your reputation. Sounds like a boss fight. And a party.

I wonder if there will be a Mr Collins at the Orlesian ball we attend in DAI  I will laugh all the way to the buffet if there is!

My Inquisitor will channel the Arishok's example and be like "No." And then she'd just turn around and walk away. ...or she'd try to send him over to one of her other companions, mouthing, "Take one for the team!" as they shoot her looks of horror and disgust from across the room.

I reckon that Varric meanwhile uses a nice ornate mug emblazoned with the Amell coat of arms on one side, a lovingly painted griffin with hearts on the other (courtesy of Merrill) and a crude drawing on the base (courtesy of Isabela), something he took from the Hawke estate before being carted off by Cassandra, as a memento of all the good times he had with his friends in Kirkwall.

One of my Inquisitors is going to do a Parker from Leverage- stand there awkwardly for a minute, then stab him with a fork and exit via the balcony swearing to go home and raise Halla for a living instead (Dalish mage)

My Trevelyan is going to hand him skilfully over to Josephine before deciding that nobility is still no fun and hiding under the buffet table with Sera and all the best dishes

And Leliana has the loveliest teacup; the china is so fine and delicate it's nearly transparent, and it's the same shade of blue as her blue satin shoes. It has little Andraste's Grace blossoms painted around the rim of both the cup and the matching plate.

Glad to see the Cullen thread is back. Stopped in for a moment to drop off this gift, inspired by Allan Schumacher and the spreading Taint Madness. Started with a conversation about Cassandra using a Batman voice, Cullen being Bane, and only went from there... This is what sleep deprivation does to you.  x_x

And Josephine has a whole tea set, elegantly decorated with gold filigree.

And Mordin has a conch shell that got plugged up... wait, wrong thread.

Ok, Cullenites Assemble was running a keep Cullenite spirits up challenge this morning/afternoon.

Are you guys ok, if I cut and paste some of the entries?

If you wanted to play yourselves the challenge was...

Write 5 lines of the latest blockbuster, bodice ripping yarn by Varric Tethras: Seduction in Skyhold

Cullen X any Quizzy

Or

Write a short banter including Cullen

Or

Quick sketch of Cullen

My offering was:

Varric: So did Cullen let you use his sword?

Quizzy: Yes, it's a beautiful piece of work, perfectly balanced.

Sera: snickers....

Varric grins: Well oiled?

Quizzy: Of course, what did you expect?

Quizzy catches Cassandra up...leaving Sera and Varric behind

Sera: She can be a daft ****** sometimes!

Varric: She'll catch on if he plays it right.

Sera: Ha, you really think he knows?

Varric: Tactical advisor, what more can I say...whistles....

You guys wanna play a game? Choose Cullen's adventure!

Commander Cullen is walking the halls of Skyhold late at night when he stumbles across a letter on the ground. He picks it up and sees that it is addressed to the Inquisitor. What does he do?

A- Go wake the Inquisitor to give him/her the letter.

B- Wait until morning to give the letter.

C- Open and read the letter.

*pick an option, give a short description of what happens and provide three options for what happens next*
