I'm not trying to be happy, I am happy. To pass judgement on NPC romances done by a totally different game, with different writers and a different team, is a bit hasty, as is judging a character based solely on his small appearance in one screenshot.

I agree! Plus there's been more development time for this game, which bodes well for better content all around. I'll be happy as he'll to be wrong and it turns out Cullen is a companion, but right now between what we've seen and the lack of denial from Devs, I think it's romanceable NPC.... But I'm still psyched!

Also, I think he looks hot as hell. Which is just as well because the only other two males looking fine to me are GW (yes! The BEARD) and Varric (seriously, I've never really Varric crushed before, outside of favoring him as a platonic companion, but when he's got his spotlight in the trailer I was all DAMN! Wants!) ... And both of those are so unlikely to be LIs

oh man I just showed my husband the new trailer and looks like we are gonna have 2 pre orders YES I FINALLY CONVERTED MY HUSBAND TO PLAY THE FREAKING GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIKE!! My own husband is wavering on that too. He swore off the game when DA2 released. He played DAO a couple times but was kind "meh" about. He really prefers Skyrim! So when I told him the devs were saying they were going to try and take a cue or two from it, he became interested. And the different kinds of dragons thing has his more intrigued.

Yeah, that's one thing I'll miss about NPC romances. That said, there are ways to get that kind of inter-party interaction at a camp or the Skyhold. I'm not too concerned. Especially with that scene of what looks like one of our campsites.

AWW thanx guys, its true maybe I should wait a bit.. I just want Cullen to look as much as possible with the  "new" Cullen, I think its just the angle tho or maybe they haven't finished him off completely and that's why he may look a bit "weird/different" to us atm Im sure he is hot as hell as always so have faith ppl

 

Just hope more screen shots are released of him before we reach page 1000 so I can make the necessary adjustments if needed

As for our LI choices... the only thing that makes me not want a whole ton of choices is the budget. Spreading the romance budget across more characters has to mean less content for each-- and NPCs will, of course, get even less content than the companion romances. So just thinking about that makes me pause and possibly fret a little...

 

But! That doesn't stop me from being happy about what I saw in that trailer~

Here's an idea: What if, as Inquisitor, you can choose out of your companions who will be your NPC advisors? Like if you have to choose between Cullen and Iron Bull for Red Fists, Cullen is your companion, and Iron Bull stays at the home base.
