I think it's for the best, because i can't see Justice being any good with children - all that glowing and shouting, it's just not going to work!

For my part, I'm thinking that either my Hawke just left Sebastian home because he has a city-state to rule and all, no time for prancing around having adventures like an irresponsible misfit anymore; or that whatever made her "mysteriously disappear" has kept her away from Starkhaven long enough that she can't wait to be done with this saving the world business with the Inquisitor to run back home and kiss her husband (and child - ya screw you BW canon you're not my mom you don't tell me what to do ) hello.

Am I strange for not really caring about Hawke/LI? As long as they're not killed or derailed, I'm good.

 

It is important to me because I'm pretty passionate about Hawke x Fenris ^^ The way some people are passionate about Alistair or, you know, Cullen. It is important to me, and even more so now that I don't have a proper LI in DAI. I'm a romantic, so these things matter

I don't think they'd do that - I suspect any LIs not making a cameo appearance just won't be mentioned.

Sigh I tried to rivalromance Sebastian but didn't get him to 100% rivalry so that failed in the end Luckily there is keep to fix that but I'm still sad I missed ending with his romance.

I don't think Sebastian ever really cared enough about the mage/templar thing to get involved. His beef with Anders was singularly the destruction of the temple and the murder of Elthina; the rest (mages, annulment, Meredith, whatever) was more Hawke's problem that he was just tagging along to help fix. It's a lot more likely that post-Kirkwall he finally owned up to his Starkhaven duty (whether on the friend or rival path - I friendmanced him too, but his whole disposition change at the end sort of told me he was done sitting still), than that he got involved with a war he was never interested in before. But even if he stayed in the Chantry, he might have simply distanced himself from this issue, since he never took a firm stance on either side.

 

In any case, they wouldn't dare kill love interests offscreen. Non-romanceable characters, yeah, but not LIs. Some days I've a feeling they'd love to kill Zevran offscreen, since they care so little for him, but even with the disregard they have for him, they've still never gone that far. The writers also don't like giving people amunition to be dickheads, and killing Sebastian would be giving fandom free license to be even more dicks to Sebastian fans than the usual.

 

Don't worry. Our silly prince/choir boy is fine, he's just... busy. But he's waiting for your Hawke back home, safe and sound.

I had to use the developer console to rivalry Sebastian to 100%.  And this was with the Resolutionist Hawke who skipped merrily off with Anders into the sunset.  It's incredibly difficult to get Seb rivalry without being the world's biggest dickbag.  Disagreeing with him isn't enough, especially since he's fairly chill about the mage thing for most of the game.  You have to get cozy with slavers and be awful to Orana

Hello #Cullenites!I really enjoying this tread and all the discussions here I think Cullen is an amazing character and he has an interesting personality(and I can't wait to discover all his family and ex-templar stories ) Anyway,I was wondering,what are your predictions towards Cullen romance itself?I mean,will there be interesting stuff when you play as mage or maybe there will be some kind of a special dialogue option connected with your class?

You know, it's hilarious that we're having this conversation right now, because I just had a post cross my tumblr dashboard with someone moaning and narming about the usual "Cullenites are all just Alistair fangirls scurrying after the next best Alistair substitute," and it's just such... a short sighted perspective. We have every end of the spectrum right here in the thread; dudes, dudettes, people who love Anders, people who love Sebastian, people who love Fenris, hardcore Zevran romancers, lesbians! omg! who love Leli and Bela and Merrill, people who don't romance at all, and yeah, shock of shocks, even Alistair fans.

 

It's almost like... almost like Cullen is his own character??!? Almost like Cullen is such an interesting character in and of himself, with his own traits, his own qualities and flaws, that all kinds of fans, from all kinds of backgrounds, can find something interesting, some new and different angle to love about him! Almost like he doesn't need to compare to previous love interests to be a good love interest or best friend or favorite rival or whatnot! He gets to be a whole unique character all for himself, that his fans get to like for his own merits. A mind-blowing concept to wrap your head around, isn't it.

 

Wow. Wow. Such Cullen. Much character. Wow.

I got 100% rivalry very quickly and I don't remember being a dickbag (lol). I just told him to reclaim the land for himself and all that stuff.

I think you may get some extra dialogue with him if you are playing a mage quizzy. I don't really have predictions for his romance per-say, but I do know what I would like to see from him and what we have seen in the twitch stream with his confidence is very promising. I can not wait to get my quizzy's hands on him!

Ahhh, it makes sense. I barely used him as a party member because I already had Anders, Fenris and Varric in my party most of the time.
