so yup, a lot of dorian in the latest footages has won me over to romance him after moirin is done with cullen's bum x]

for now i got a general idea of my male elfquisitor, but i'd like some tips from you about his personality

 

so here's the crappy visualization i did

his name's oisin lavellan, probably mage again, i base his appearance on the androgynous model - andrej pejic (i just love him so much! ;u; ) i've never been a great RPer, i tried tumblr rping once, i did like it but my character was a female. in games i mostly play as females, and my way of playing every game is mainly from the perspective of a viewer, rather than someone participating actively and playing some role.

so yeah, what traits would you ascribe to him only looking at his portrait?

i think of somewhat proud, and arrogant type of guy.

Silly: Zevran's terrible love poem.  It's both silly and sweet that he recites it to cheer up the Warden.

 

DA2:

 

Serious: Anders' whole crazy speech at the Gallows right before the Chantry explodes.  It never fails to send cold shivers down my spine.

Silly: Silly!Hawke's equally crazy speech if you leave the Chantry alone after Seamus dies.  If you haven't seen it yet and need a giggle, do yourself a favor

I love Isabela so much, she would have to be one of my tops for the whole DA franchise.

 

Isabela is made of pure win, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.  Same for Morrigan.  I'm so excited to have my witchy sister back for DA:I; playing a female mage in DA:O and bonding with Morrigan was one of my favorite character arcs ever.

We pretty much have no minds left to lose at this point, I think, everyone's gone a bit mental with anticipation. The thirst has been long and real.   

 

But yeah, we've been having some veeeeeery good days lately, it's been Cullen and Cullen and more Cullen since the cakes and the Keep tile reveal on Friday. It's a great week to be a Cullenite!

I'm not really sure, but I have a question regarding Dorian... He's from Tevinter, he is a magister (right?) and he wants to change what his homeland has become. Does that include the slavery of elves? Because if you're a Dalish, I think that you might take issue with a Tevinter Magister who comes from a country where enslaving elves is the norm. Kinda like Fenris. Now, if Dorian is against all of that, then I think a Dalish would be happy to be with him.

Hmm, my favorite line still has to be the one only a city elf gets when meeting Loghain and Howe at the beginning of the Landsmeet quest chain:

 

"Oh look, the regent owns a talking a**"

 

There's just something so satisfying in that insult after all the crap a CE puts up with.

 

Yeah, but Zevran's the only companion who can enter into a foursome with Leliana, the Warden and Isabela, as well as entering into a threesome with Hawke and Isabela, so it's not like he doesn't get to do a lot of shafting of his own...

 

The only one of my DAO PTs that didn't have a fling with Isabela (including the Lel-Zev-Warden foursome) was my male dalish who was romancing Morrigan. I was a little afraid he'd wake up without the parts to carry through the DR if he did, based on her reaction. Misha may be many things, but not stupid when a woman speaks to him in THAT tone.

My favorite companions are Morrigan, Zevran and Shale from DAO, and Isabela and Aveline, hands down, from DA2. I'm not sure about DAI yet since we haven't really "met" them, but I honestly think my Inquisitors will pick their own. I suspect Blackwall and Cassandra will be pretty high on my list, though.

He's not a magister, but he is an Altus, a member of the highest class. We don't know what he thinks of slavery, only that he disagrees with a lot about Tevinter these days.

I don't know what Dorian wants to change, if anything really. I don't dislike him, but I'm wary of him. Being a huge Fenris fan, anyone who's "proud" of being from Tevinter makes me nervous. On the other hand, if he weren't 100% anti-slavery, that could make an interesting conflict between him and my inquisitor(s). Especially if he's really blase about it (he seems to be pretty blase in general about everything). He almost seems like he takes life too lightly... but it's to be expected from someone who comes from the ruling class and had it all handed to him on a silver spoon.

 

So I think his character could be interesting and create lots of cool conflict (assuming he eventually realizes the error of his nation's ways).

Same thing here. I was a semi-regular in this forum while the speculation over Cullen's romance options was absolutely nutsy-bobo. I even had inside information 'from a reliable source' that Cullen was going to be available to both male and female Inquisitors. Whether the source was given wrong info or something happened during the game's development we'll never know but I bowed out for a bit (it was my choice, since it would have been unfair to those here thinking they had to watch their posts so not as to hurt the feelings of those who couldn't romance him). Anyway, I pop in from time to time when my work/real life schedule permits it but no matter how long I'm away, people here are very kind and welcoming.

 

An interesting side note: I'm now very interested in having my second playthrough done as a female mage Inquisitor (Inquisitress?)   to romance Cullen. I'm very curious to see how romance will figure in the mage/templar dynamic, not to mention the fact that said female mage Inquisitor is technically the most powerful individual in Thedas!
