I apologize if my lack of offense offends you and leads you to assume that I am not as deep of a Cullen fan as many of you.
But I assure you that every mention of his character in the slightest sends the butterflies of excitement loose in the pit of my stomach.
I am ready to get my hands on Inquisition and share every detail of our fangirling together as one whole,
provided that I have caught up to the majority, so there won't be any spoilers in store, lol.
(although I see we've moved past all this--which is good--I just wanna say)..
It's not abt being a "deep" Cullen fan. Truth is, many are not deep Cullen fans. They like Cullen enough and enjoy the thread, that's all. There's no requisite.
I think it's more the point was that those that have become identified as Cullen fans here have had to put up with alot of crap. You know? It's not a single thing, but it can build up. I went through this being a Kaidan fan, too. eeee. And from ME devs , too. It can grate.
Mind you, I'm not offended by alot of things, either. It's just been that kinda life. lol! But sometimes I can understand where others are coming from with it....and sometimes I don't.
Yes, I unabashedly squee over Cullen, but then I squee over damn near everything they release in promo stuff. I squeed over that dragon fight they had at the end of Enemy of Thedas trailer. Well, I squeed over the whole dam thing actually. lol!
But there is this idea there...this perception. Like someone said you don;t see squeeing fanboy impersonations. So, that tells me that something is amiss.
Regardless, to me it speaks more to a certain discomfort many guys have--not all, ofc--with ideas and talk of romance and that sorta stuff. I see it as a strange coping mechanism to deal with uncomfortable feelings of ..possibly... vulnerability.
