Also there are skin colors that this outfit is going to come close to matching. I guess we could pretend we're naked that way.

That casual outfit looks suspiciously like my old marching band uniform, just not maroon. I will never not associate them now, but I don't mind it and I like the color as well.

It'll probably end up getting old eventually, though. xP

I'm thinking black trousers/pants, dark wine red top half or something... or maybe dark brown trousers/pants and a murky natural looking green the sort of colour you'd see Elves wearing.

Only one casual outfit really disturbs me.

Especially when that one outfit looks like a colourless pyjama!Hopefully my Inquisitors can keep their armour on while in Skyhold.

Cullen did say that he always wanted to be a knight - but didn't specify if that was a Knight Templar, or just to take up the knighthood that someone from minor/not-so-minor nobility would be part of.  If the lyrium addiction that Templars face is known about, why would anyone volunteer to be one of them?  Or is it hidden, like the Wardens' Joining?  So many questions!

 

When you ask Alistair about being a Templar, he tells you about the lyrium addiction part in a very hush hush secretive tone that implies this is not general knowlege, and not supposed to be. Even if you're a human noble Warden, you have no idea lyrium was a thing among the Templars. Carver also has banter after he joins the Order about how there were many things he didn't know about being a Templar, in a tone that implies he maybe regrets joining, so...

 

The Order seems to be very romanticized by outsiders (at least as romanticized by the common folk as it is demonized by the mages), but people have no idea what being a Templar really entails, or the toll it takes, both physical and emotional. It's likely you could grow up dreaming of being a shining powerful and righteous Knight-Templar, never knowing anything about it other than that Templars looks really cool, only to find out after you've joined that it wasn't all it seemed to be... but then it's too late to turn back. Evangeline is a good example - she was determined to become a Templar in her youth based on that romantic image she had of the Order, but as a grown woman who's been in the thick of it long enough to have risen to Knight-Captain, she's clearly bitter about her love/hate relationship with lyrium, and not hesitant to fully admit her addiction to it.
