@ninetozero - and the addiction would explain why Meredith had to have that little red idol from the Deep Roads. i wonder if she thought the red lyrium would be non-addictive/possibly cure her addiction to regular lyrium.
*sputter* ohmygod! *bows down*
*snort* That class almost turned me into a computer-phobe.
Iceyone - I remember the Atari and playing tennis on it. It was one of the things I could beat my chess-playing brother on ![]()
Hawke's bathrobe and boots ensemble was a crime against fashion and taste! Mind you her peculiar MOTA outfit was worse, so I think we can agree that Hawke should never be allowed to dress herself. She's letting Kirkwall's side down badly, what would Vivianne have said!
This is one of the few things I mod out in that game. What the heck, every other female in the world wears a long skirt and Lady Hawke wears a short one? SO immersion-breaking. I recommend this one: http://www.nexusmods...ge2/mods/3301/?

That looks great. ![]()
I finally get to play a DA game on PC and I won't be able to mod it to perfection... ugh. .-.
Whatever we were before... we are now... The Nudequisition!
Exactly...if we could get all of them nude. ![]()
Can't speak for everyone, but I have complained to Laidlaw and anyone else who I've caught coming out with similar stuff. Saying it in the increasingly frantic build-up to a highly anticipated new game was spectacularly bad timing for him, unfortunately. But I do wonder if the younger devs hear that description of female fans of anything/anyone so often that they genuinely think it's not annoying anyone. No harm in telling them that this is not the case. I didn't see anyone calling for the guy to be sacked or anything.
I think that's the point many of us tried to make. Frankly, if it was being spread around equally, I'd have found what he did simply funny because it wouldn't have seemed as targeted. I honestly think the poor guy was just tired and made what is probably a common joke around the office without thinking and I'd be appalled to find out anyone did more than take a minute to explain to him why it upset some fans. The fact that it's probably a common joke and the public expressions are all targeted at one group and for one reason is why it needed to be pointed out, politely, especially considering the general atmosphere in gaming currently. I also don't think anyone's saying that everyone should feel the same way about it. We all have different thresholds; I personally am just very disturbed at trends I see making gaming an unfriendly, even threatening, place for my daughters and their friends (some of whom have quit things like cosplay because of harassment). Silence enables and tacitly approves.
That looks great.

Just give it some time. It took years to make Origins perfect! ![]()
Especially when that one outfit looks like a colourless pyjama!Hopefully my Inquisitors can keep their armour on while in Skyhold.
If only everything wasn't the same colour. Even boots are nude. ![]()
Does anyone know if the latest DAI twitch was recorded and put on YT?

Unfortunately I've heard that new engine is not kind for mods. Maybe talented people will be able to mod some minor things but it won't be like in Origin. ![]()

When you ask Alistair about being a Templar, he tells you about the lyrium addiction part in a very hush hush secretive tone that implies this is not general knowlege, and not supposed to be. Even if you're a human noble Warden, you have no idea lyrium was a thing among the Templars. Carver also has banter after he joins the Order about how there were many things he didn't know about being a Templar, in a tone that implies he maybe regrets joining, so...
The Order seems to be very romanticized by outsiders (at least as romanticized by the common folk as it is demonized by the mages), but people have no idea what being a Templar really entails, or the toll it takes, both physical and emotional. It's likely you could grow up dreaming of being a shining powerful and righteous Knight-Templar, never knowing anything about it other than that Templars looks really cool, only to find out after you've joined that it wasn't all it seemed to be... but then it's too late to turn back. Evangeline is a good example - she was determined to become a Templar in her youth based on that romantic image she had of the Order, but as a grown woman who's been in the thick of it long enough to have risen to Knight-Captain, she's clearly bitter about her love/hate relationship with lyrium, and not hesitant to fully admit her addiction to it.
I have been wondering for awhile if there are going to be some complications regarding Cullen's lyrium addiction...
I've just noticed that Cullen has quite heavy eyelids, makes him look a tad strange when he blinks because of the darkness underneath them... if that makes sense?

It may be mentioned, but the devs did say that lyrium addiction in general was not being implemented in game. So you know as much as I do...a passing mention is my guess.
Red Lyrium may be different, and I suspect covered in game.

Is it the angle of the camera?

Naw, it's the shadow... or a minor glitch.

I could see Cullen and Varric getting into a pretty heated discussion about red lyrium and the events of DA2

The expression on his face in that second one. At what point in the conversation does he make that?

I suspect if we can get them together to talk it will be interesting...especially since there is plenty of red lyrium in game. (Which I will not let anywhere near Cullen)
