I'm seriously considering an elf IQ PT in which she decides to milk the Herald reputation (but for the good of the Dalish, of course). I'm pretty sure it'll backfire, but still, pragmatism! A human mage milking this would be great too, but completely doesn't fit my Ryumka's personality. She's more likely to genuinely be afraid she was chosen for some reason (and be certain it won't end well).

 

At least a couple of my elves had fun tweaking the noses of humans or challenging them when they were referred to as "knife ears".

 

I'm planning on doing a playthrough with my Dwarven Aritificer, who's essentially "Tony Stark as a dwarf". I love the idea of an character who's not afraid to milk the fame, money and attention for all it's worth, but nonetheless has a heart of gold, hidden underneath their massive ego.

I think it's the latter. I don't think he's Orlesian at all, but since the majority of our troops are probably Orlesian, it'd be a powerful symbol for their commander to utilize.

This is what I think, too. There's still room for speculation, but so far all signs point to our boy being Fereldan. At least culturally (which, I'm tickled to note when re-reading his CHR file, it says specifically "Cultural Background: Ferelden" not "Country of citizenship" or whatever).

 

I doubt the lion means anything major. But that also could be my bias speaking.

Oh, definitely, mine would all respond differently. My Cadash would probably say "I don't know" then ask if they could tell her who Andraste is (then possibly milk the situation). Ryumka would say "it's unnerving" I think. My first Lavellan could go either way (but if she saw the glowing lady, wouldn't be too quick to deny it.) Haven't quite developed my first Adaar's personality that far, probably "it's unnerving." A second, mage Lavellan, though, might go with "I like it" and milk it.

Well, I know  my female human mage will def be unnerved by the whole Herald thing.

 

Or is it gonna be my human female rogue? I still don;t know. Maker help me.

 

But srlsy, I don;t trust that stuff. Yeah, they call you Herald now and all that, but as soon as the wind changes, they're chasing you down and roping you up. No, thank you.

 

Besides which, it's just weird to me. I don;t feel comfortable with all that.

And you can manage all that in your "Ignore Preferences." So I just hid your sig, R2. Then I went into my Ignore Preferences and clicked "Show" for your sig, so now it's showing again. My Inquisitor is going to be extremely uncomfortable with being called the Herald of Andraste. She's an Andrastian veering on agnostic, but she absolutely despises the Chantry and has been having a hard time reconciling her faith with her disillusionment. (Actually, the only good thing she sees about the title is that it pisses the Chantry off, which is a small comfort). In a weird way, she thinks the title is a little bit sacrilegious, which just confuses all her thoughts about where she is with her faith or lack there of. She also can't help but think about what happened to Andraste when her enemies finally caught up with her, and that freaks her out. She's also got some wild panicky thoughts about there being a Chantry 2.0 developing after her, and that does not sit right with my Inquisitor at all.

 

Plus, the title makes her feel very vulnerable. It means that everywhere she goes, people will be judging her through that lens, whether they believe it or not, and whether she wants it or not. "I've always wanted to meet the Herald! Let's see what you're capable of!" "You mean you're just going to ignore this? And so we see what Andraste's Herald is truly like..." 

 

She doesn't really know who the weird Fade lady is, and she may have thrown a few prayers and pleas for help to the Maker and Andraste when she was in the Fade, but while she doesn't know what to believe, she doesn't think it was Andraste.

Maker, that smirk turns me on. Is it just me, or does he get more adorable in every new video? Watching these clips has absolutely suckered me for the Cullen romance. He's just too hot! I am quite sure I will never be able to romance anyone else in this game.
