Maybe he just blurts it out without thinking, as a joke, to lighten a mood round the table. Then realising what he just said makes him blush and go all awkward. Or just a sarcastic retort at someone's teasing.

My personal bet is that the line is said by someone who walks in on the Inquisitor and LI during a scene. Probably Bull, I can see him coming out with something like that whilst poor inquisitor and LI are all "deer-in-the-headlights"

I really don't think those lines come from companions or advisers. If they are, they sound ... tasteless. Could be because they are taken out of context.

I'm betting that line is read aloud from one of Varric's Hard in Hightown novels.. probably in absolute disbelief, while Varric chortles madly...

I'm not worried at all about those lines. BW has great writers and I'm sure romances are written well. With the context those quotes probaply will make lot of sense and I'm guessing they are used in some funny parts rather than serious sexy talk.

LoL at the ESRB synopsis, I went O.o' for a while there, had to read twice half not believing on what I'm reading.

My gut feeling tells me that that's probably non-LI banter (at least I'm hoping it to be) since LI-Quisitor romance dialogue could be considered much too spoilery. And that's not such a good thing IMO, with the game being close to release.

But of course I could be wrong X)

I dunno, those lines are awkward enough that it sounds like the reviewer listened to them in another language and translated them into English or was perhaps a non-native English speaker who paraphrased (especially the first one)? I have no problem with LIs talking dirty/nudity, but at least let it be well written or make sense.

 

Thinking this is the case too. Someone on reddit said this was taken from the German rating of the game (which is usually more strict than the American rating system), so those lines may be wrangled by a translation over another translation (English to German and back to English). The writing in DA can be cheesy sometimes, but it's never been google translator gibberish level of bad like this.

 

In gaelic one is the feminine form of the other.

 

Part of me really likes the idea, another part is not so sure....the drama and forum uproar would be comical.

 

The one nice thing said in the wiki is that Gaspard really loved his wife Calienne de Ghislain, it was not a marriage of convenience. Kind of makes him more human.

 

Just reiterating that the Cullen / Gaspard connection is complete and utter bullsh*t that I started here in the thread as a joke to troll and have a little fun with the guys talking about his surname that one day. There's no rumored connection between them besides one silly joke I made one time.

 

If it turns out they do have a connection in game, I want a gold star for most random BS call of the century, yo.
