Okay so before this escalates
Fine so maybe I just wanted to use that gif
But yeah I think those lines are going to sound much better in context and might even be something that NPCs say,it doesn´necessarily have to be one of the companions ![]()

No Artemis, we're not, but you very much are talking about you, so I can talk about me. And the PC will be the PC, or the PC will be based of our experiences in their reactions.
However, I think it's a mistake to say that because you find there to be implications of misogyny there (which is talking about you) that there must be implications of misogyny there for the PC, too. Others might feel otherwise, and as I pointed out in my post, this line can go multiple ways, just like out personal experiences do.

I wonder if lyrium addiction can be "shocked" out of someone. I imagine that seeing your knight commander completely consumed by the power of the red lyrium would be traumatizing. But could it be enough to scare him away from lyrium altogether?
I don't know. I'd like to think that you could "shock" the addiction out of someone, but that doesn't work IRL. If it did, rehab-ing people from really awful drug addictions would be a lot easier.
Something traumatic might make you not WANT to take the lyrium anymore, but that doesn't remove the physical need for it. I don't think the side-effects of withdrawal would go away either. I wonder if you could very slowly wean yourself off of it? You'd still need it for years, and the process would probably be agonizing, but you could eventually stop taking it at the cost of your templar powers. Maybe that's why Cullen's an advisor and not out in the field with us.

Guys. That quote has absolutely 0 context. Let's drop the argument until we at least have context.
Context is bad...Oh no that would be swooping!Anyway listen to Eric people,we're all friends no matter how our opinions may vary.

No, no, no, the correct verbiage is, "I will bring myself sexual pleasure now, while thinking of this with great respect. "
I bet Cullen will say that!

Doesn't work like that. There's no cure for lyrium addiction once you're hooked, going off lyrium just advances the late stages of physical degradation and dementia by a tenfold. We have Evangeline in Asunder, a Knight-Captain like Cullen, saying very clearly that if she just stopped taking lyrium cold turkey she'd have about a week left before withdrawal set in, and after about a month without it she'd have gone completely insane. And Cullen is definitely addicted, we should have no delusions about this. He's been regularly consuming lyrium for at the very least twelve to fourteen years at the time of Inquisition.
Unless something drastically changes the current canon about Templars and lyrium in DAI, the best thing for Cullen's addiction at this point is really to just let it be. On his regular lyrium ration, he still has at least twenty to thirty years left before symptons start to really consume his mind (we know Templars in their sixties like Greagoir who are still perfectly lucid) - without it, we'd lose him in a matter of months.

And we confirmed awhile ago that DAI takes place approximately 2-3 years after the final events of DA2 so it's possible that Cullen has been trying to wean off of the addiction for that long, assuming he quit the Order not long after DA2. If that's the case he could be almost cured from his lyrium addiction by now, and that's why it wouldn't majorly affect his personality in DAI.

That's so crazy. I assumed he could take the efforts to stop the addiction and go back to normal. I didn't realize it was a 'for life' thing.

Oookay... new story. Not quite up to DA:I's ESRB rating, but hopefully still fun.
Sex and Chocolate by Varric Tethras
by R2s Muse
The f!Inquisitor and Cullen find a new and unexpected way to connect, with a little help from Varric. A sequel to Chocolate and Sex.
Dedicated to the lovely Cullenites on the BSN Cullen Thread. Um, you asked for it!
Rated: M
Words: 2,272
Written for 30 Days of Dragon Age: Day 5
10/23: Pretend to be Varric, and tell a short story.
Oh, my! R2, you may not think you write smut well, but that had me blushing. You deserve all the chocolate and cookies we can throw at you (especially if you write more things like that).

I did not insult you... come on
I said it should be a line said by a villain (a.k.a. "Use the feather!" lol) because the only alternative would be a case between two CONSENTING lovers, wherein the one with the, erm, bouncing t*ts has CONSENTED to be spoken to in this way.
I would be very annoyed if BioWare ASSUMED my character would consent to that kind of play just because I chose to romance a character... keeping in mind that for some of us our choices in LI are VERY LIMITED, so if one of these happens to be into extremely dirty and slightly demeaning (but in a CONSENSUAL WAY) dirty talk, I will be p!ssed.
I hope that clears the air. My god, people, as if I would mock others for their intimate sexual practices they participate in IN THE PRIVACY OF THEIR OWN BEDROOMS. But we are not talking about you and me and us here; we are talking about the player character in the game, and if a line like that is spoken to the PC, it ASSUMES the PC has consented to this kind of bedroom behavior, which is unfair.
Boobs bounce, that's the way of gravity, someone saying that is hardly doing anything bad so get over yourself.

Once again Morie, your artwork is superb! I love the sprinkling of chest hair, not to mention the other sprinkles of hair
I'd have to consider passing on my morning coffee for him which is a huge deal....acht who am I kidding, I'll buy a coffee maker, have it in the bedroom, best of both worlds then
Cullen on one side, mug of coffee on the other.....hmmmmm bliss!
