"I will bring myself sexual pleasure later, while thinking about this with great respect."

Couldn't he* just say "I'll consider what you said later tonight, during my bath - a VERY long and thorough bath - while thinking about you."

* He= Cullen**

**Supposing he's really the character who says that line...

Awesome comic. But I can't help nitpicking: I thought it should be "lethallin" for males.

That's pretty cute. But is that a girl or a boy? It can be hard to tell with elves.  :P

Don't do it R2!! lol

I joined very soon after it was created and had a look,  screamed "No!" and ran out and never been back lol

So tempted but I know I'd be disappointed (with myself) if I found out too much prior to playing

(but that's me... I don't mind others looking/discussing so go ahead! :))

LOL Thanks for the warning. I poked in... and Noped myself right back out again.

There are certain spoilers I'm cool with, like most things to do with Cullen, I've decided, but there were TOO many in there and too hard to navigate safely without a compass. :D

Thanks again to Elder King, tho, for the invite!

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but while playing ME3 I noticed that Cullen has a very similar scar in the same place as Admiral Hackket! (not saying its a bad thing, its just something I noticed). Is this simply a ME3 reference or maybe an idea of how Cullen may act?

Wait, Lethallan means what, again?

It is an elven word for someone you are close to, from lover to family member. from the wiki.

Lethallin; Lethallan (leth-ah-LEEN; leth-ah-LAHN): Casual reference used for someone with whom one is familiar. Lethallin is used for males, while lethallan is used for females. Akin to "cousin" or "clansman" since "lin" is the word for blood. See talk page for more information.

This is why I think Skyrim may have ruined me forever when it comes to dragons, as my immediate reaction towards seeing one in any other fantasy game now is to make my character immediately run towards it, a manic expression of glee on my face as I repeat the following mantra...

"Dragondragondragondragondragondragondragondragondragon..."

Especially when the dragons tended to attack towns at the least opportune times and off named NPCs that weren't smart enough to stay inside while I was taking them out. I also had one dragon glitch and the game didn't recognize it was dead, so now when I go by that area a flying dragon skeleton attacks me and I can't damage it.

There's a mod that fixes NPC's fighting dragons. I think it's called "Run for your lives"? I finally installed it after too many NPC's were dying to dragon attacks. There's also a version for vampire attacks, and I installed that one, too. Now the only NPC's that will attack dragons and vampires are the guards, my followers, and Companions. But, yeah, I was tired of having to resurrect people via the console. "Goddamnit, Olfina! You're a tavern maid, not a warrior! Stop attacking dragons/vampires!"

Hullo everyone!

This is my first post, so nice to meet you all! Finally I decided to join the BSN due to the great banter among you on this particular thread :)

When I see that the last hundred pages of 3363 post makes me laugh so much, I know I just had to join you all! The fan artworks on this thread are all great/extremely funny.

I don't know whether it's the right place to ask for your opinion, but would it be better to romance Cullen as human rogue, human mage, or dalish mage? Actually I can't decide. On all other DA games I played each class at least once, each with different romance. I'll do a first playthrough with Cullen as LI, then a second playthrough as male human warrior (just that epic cliché heroic hero of Thedas  :P )

If I play a human mage, I'll tend to do that kind of extremely-self-aware mage that knows that having powers means also being a possible threat for others, just like my (female) Amell warden. If ever the dialogue option existed on DA:O, I am the sort that will tell Alistair that he must strike the blade to me if ever I got possessed since no one is immune to that. If I'm a Dalish mage, I'll be the one who treasure the sky and the land and might want to rejoin my clan after all the problem had been solved.

I imagine, if possible, that the romance between Cullen and mages would be like DA2's rivalmance. Well, I don't know whether it worth the while to do my playthrough romancing Cullen as rogue just to avoid the possible "mages can"t be treated like normal people" rivalmance thing, or whether just to stick to mages.

What do you think? :)

First off Welcome!!!

Second...it would depend on the story you really want to tell. I will be going through as a Human Mage because I find it intriguing that after everything he has been through in the Circle of Fereldan and Kirkwall that  he could still love a mage (Amell not withstanding) I don't believe it is based on a friendship/rival for the romance.

Anyways have fun romancing Cullen and enjoy being here with the wonderful Cullenites (i know I spelled that wrong  :) )

Hello :)

I would choose which character concept you would prefer more. I am going with a human rogue archer, though I haven't decided if I am romancing Josephine or Cullen yet. But I like my first inquistor. So I would say go for what you would have more fun with. If that is your human mage, go for it!

Welcome! I'm partial to mages and already have a backstory planned out for my female Treveylan mage, so she will be my first Inquisitor and the one romancing Cullen.

If you tend to prefer one class over the other for gameplay (between rogue and Mage), I'd take that into account for your decision as well.

As far as a Cullen romance with a mage, I don't think it will need to be adversarial. He and Dorian get along really well (yay for Cullen and Dorian besties!) so depending on how you play your mage I think they might get along well, too.

Human mage, it's most popular for reason and I think your character fits with Cullen ^^ I can't see myself not going for mage for him, sadly I can't romance him as qunari mage like I first planned but human will do.

Welcome to the thread. My advice would be to go with the character/class/race you like best. I'm sure his romance will be interesting regardless and it would be sad if you chose a combo just for his romance and it turned out you'd like it anyway.

Personally, I'm most interested in seeing his romance with a Dalish rogue and a human mage. Human rogue/warrior sounds the most boring for me.

Welcome! Go with what you'll enjoy playing and fighting with the most. I'm tentatively planning a human mage first, but once I know more details on the human family background, I might switch to a warrior. I would actually like to see him romanced by a fellow warrior but I'll pass on a non-mage human if we're required to be formally sworn to the chantry or Templars. If the romance tempts me to a second PT, I'll play a Dalish rogue or warrior. I suspect human mage-Cullen romance may end up being the most common one on Youtube, so I may pass it up entirely if the differences are fairly minor.

I am actually curious are we formally sworn or just planned to join either the templars or chantry.

I'm curious too. From what the devs said when the backgrounds were released, it sounds as if we have flexibility on this. I hope that means we can opt to be an agent, so to speak, of one or the other without having sworn oaths (especially since being sworn to the chantry itself involves oaths of celibacy - that makes romances very dicey unless you're playing a morally grey or dark Inquisitor). I'd like to PT at least once as a non-mage human, but not if the Inquisitor has formally sworn oaths (or at least not until I'm ready to play a rather unethical Inquisitor).

Do you have to be morally dark or grey? Couldn't you just have a weakness of character? I mean morally good people are not perfect. And "perfect" characters make for very boring characters. Having a weakness doesn't mean you are a moral degenerate.

Don't make the character too dark. Too much darkness or weakness can make a character boring as well.
