"The Lost Court" Is that something that is going to be in Keep...I presume? Or is it something related to DA:I itself? I doubt they went into detail, but one can hope!

Vivienne has starting to grown to me. I'm not really into snarky and ambitious characters but Vivi seems to be rather rational character and I like how she is pro-Circle. I'm pro-Circle myself so it'd be nice to hear her opinions on mage and templar issues.

This is my first post, so nice to meet you all! Finally I decided to join the BSN due to the great banter among you on this particular thread

When I see that the last hundred pages of 3363 post makes me laugh so much, I know I just had to join you all! The fan artworks on this thread are all great/extremely funny.

 

I don't know whether it's the right place to ask for your opinion, but would it be better to romance Cullen as human rogue, human mage, or dalish mage? Actually I can't decide. On all other DA games I played each class at least once, each with different romance. I'll do a first playthrough with Cullen as LI, then a second playthrough as male human warrior (just that epic cliché heroic hero of Thedas  )

 

 If I play a human mage, I'll tend to do that kind of extremely-self-aware mage that knows that having powers means also being a possible threat for others, just like my (female) Amell warden. If ever the dialogue option existed on DA:O, I am the sort that will tell Alistair that he must strike the blade to me if ever I got possessed since no one is immune to that. If I'm a Dalish mage, I'll be the one who treasure the sky and the land and might want to rejoin my clan after all the problem had been solved.

 

I imagine, if possible, that the romance between Cullen and mages would be like DA2's rivalmance. Well, I don't know whether it worth the while to do my playthrough romancing Cullen as rogue just to avoid the possible "mages can"t be treated like normal people" rivalmance thing, or whether just to stick to mages.

The only thing I'll add to the other good advice is that the one motivator for me in running a mage would be that I would expect a bit of extra dialogue about that fact. And you know, more Cullen is more.

I'm curious too. From what the devs said when the backgrounds were released, it sounds as if we have flexibility on this. I hope that means we can opt to be an agent, so to speak, of one or the other without having sworn oaths (especially since being sworn to the chantry itself involves oaths of celibacy - that makes romances very dicey unless you're playing a morally grey or dark Inquisitor). I'd like to PT at least once as a non-mage human, but not if the Inquisitor has formally sworn oaths (or at least not until I'm ready to play a rather unethical Inquisitor).

Um, I don't see why choosing to side with the Chantry would involve vows of any kind. Chantry initiates, i.e., clergy, take vows. Even Leliana, one of the more pro-Chantry folk we meet, was only affirmed. Even templars don't take vows of celibacy.

I am actually curious are we formally sworn or just planned to join either the templars or chantry. 

 

Unless something is specifically said in the intro, I'm pretty certain you can headcannon what you want.

 

For instance in DA2 warrior Hawke tells Aveline that she'd already been away from home for years, I headcannoned that to her having been a Templar recruit, which explained the skillset and fitted nicely with protecting Bethany.

Nope you are not the only one. I agree, Hawke had her time and am not looking forward to replaying her even for a small amount of time.

I really was hoping for a little bit or dialogue or cameo with both Hawke and Warden... I'm disappointed that the Warden won't "appear" as I would much prefer her to make an appearance (Hawke never truly felt like my character). Also I thought the Warden's appearance would make more sense (to me)...
