There can never be too many dwarves!
I haven't actually played dwarf before XD Tried in DAO, didn't like and quit. But they are so cute in DAI, jumping around and they look very great as well.

Re: Cullen/Mage!Inqusitor romance-- I don't think this romance will inherently be a rivalmance type. Hell, if you can Friendmance FENRIS as a Mage Hawke then I think it's possible with Cullen, too. Especially since the whole Friendship/Rivalry paths of approval seem to be out anyway.
I'm playing a Human Mage first because it's the race/class I feel most comfortable with jumping in and Role Playing blindly on a first run. I don't anticipate any major issues romancing Cullen with her
Actually I did romance Fenris on friendship path as female mage Hawke, it works very beautifully and some parts are more meaningful when you're a mage (or at least, in my interpretation). However, Fenris (like most of companions in DA2) are just someone who didn't really have his agenda, nor a member of an organisation with works to do. And he admit nearly automatically that that's simply due to his only memories of being with mages are really bad ones.
Cullen might be different from Fenris on this point, since Cullen is now part of an organisation with important works to do. He seems really sociable toward Dorian, in my opinion it's either because now he had started to see mages differently or either it's simply because he knows he had to try to get along with mages to actually save the world. But will a romance with a mage Inquisitor still left him with some kind of hard feelings/inner conflits? Things like not really accepting what he might see as his "infatuations"?
I wonder...

I've been a dwarf fan all along, but I have to say the appearance overall has improved a lot.

"over 300 operations on the War Table" OK... tell me I'm not the only one that thought something... different.
Operation 301: Buy new map to replace the one covered in tooth and claw marks...
Operation 302: Retrieve map markers from floor or each other's front and back...
Operation 303: Buy new table, due to the old one having been split in two...
Operation 304: Blame it on the Bull. If you are romancing the Bull, feel free to blame him anyway...
Operation 305: If Cole walked in and freaked out, "The Talk" may be required later...

Oh I know, the friendship romance with MageHawke and Fenris is my preferred romance
Re: Dwarves: I love them! The dwarves origns were tons of fun to play. It helped to have mods to fix the HORRIBLE body proportions in the vanilla game *shudder* I'm glad the new engine seems to allow for fantastic looking dwarves, even without mods.

that's why used it as an example: if that can work I see no reason a Mage and Cyllen couldn't have a healthy non-rival romance as well. I certainly hope potential issues are explored for character veracity/fidelity but I hope these issues are surmountable and not a bottleneck to a rival-type romance.

I agree with you on both account! Anyway I'm quite sure that the dev must have had think about the possibility of many people will try to romance Cullen as a mage... Just hope that the story they want to tell from his character's not about "I won't have anything to do with mages". Well, we will have to see for ourselves in one month right? ![]()
Dwarves: especially if they let more chest hair! niark niark niark...

I know Mike Laidlaw confirmed on Twitter that there is no "class-gating" in the DAI romances when Lola asked about it. That cemented my choice to go with a human Mage for my first run

I have a quick question that doesn't have to do with Cullen, but I wasn't sure where to ask. Does anyone know if there will be a "junk" category in the inventory or if there will be unusable junk items thats sole purpose is to get money?

I think yes, they mentioned this somewhere on Twitter, but I can be wrong.

I vaguely remember them saying no junk this time as inventory space is limited, but I may be remembering wrong as it was a tweet.

My inquisitor isn't a fan of things that have a high monetary value... And its much more private than anywhere in the Keep. Plus the view is beautiful!!

They said no class gating, but they didn't promise that it wouldn't complicate things a little. I would find it pretty weird for Cullen, for instance, not to have a couple of comments while working through his feelings about a mage.
