Well, that would certainly be a bummer, if it's indeed the case...If Morrigan can get a fancy dress,I want my femquisitor to get one!
No dresses for the Inquisitor sadly. They confirmed it.

She's got no arms!
They are behind her back!!! ![]()
I know it's not happening, but it would have been nice to get at least 2 dress clothes options per gender. My qunari wants to be festooned with ruffles!
I was hoping for mods, but it seems to be very difficult apparently on Frostbite engines. I got a really nice Finery Swap mod for Hawke. What a pity...
Morrigan isn't a customizable character though, so she doesn't have to deal with the animation issues
I don't mean during the whole game, just that cutscene in the Orlesian ball.

Yeah but just like with the Skyhold outfit they don't seem to think we find that important
Which is odd because people have complained about the Hugh Hefner / MOTA party situations! (I hated Hugh Hefner outfit / was fine with MOTA outfit).
But people also complained about the FemHawke/FemQuizzy walk/run animation and they did absolutely nothing about it, so.
No dresses for the Inquisitor sadly. They confirmed it.
Really,when?Then it's indeed a bummer...Ah well.

Where, for reference?

I know, but they still would've had to animate it for each race. So that was probably low on the priority list

I know right? My qunari lady would love that as well as my other ladies...Except maybe my elven mage and my dwarf rogue who would feel odd...But still ruffles!

Okay, questions people asked (please note that I had to ask them very hastily because they ran out of time for taking questions in the panel I attended before my turn came up, so I had to ask back at the BioWare booth where there were a lot of other fans waiting in line to shake hands/get autographs of the creative heads - so I wasn't able to get detailed answers for anything - my apologies):
aTigerslunch, I asked Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah about other art for the game boxes, and they said they didn't know. So sorry! Still working on the bulge question. I did send pics to Steve Middleton who's the/an animation lead tech, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I'll let you know as soon as I do.
Natashina: I asked Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah about whether the ads on Blip and TV will mention that you can choose gender as well as race. They said they didn't even know if there would be TV ads, so that's where that stands. You also asked about specializations - there's a little more information on the DAI official website - about what each specialization is called and what makes them different, I don't know if you have seen these yet: http://www.dragonage...n_GB/inquisitor
DarthKrytie: Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah told me that dragons will regenerate health as soon as you leave the fight.
ascendedflame: Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah confirmed that disengage does work by running away. Animals will follow you "forever" until you kill them, but sentient species will only follow you a set distance before returning to their camps.
AlexieRevan: David Gaider said there are no dwarf romances because it didn't work out this time, but he also suggested that there may be some in future DA games, possibly, as long as it makes sense for the companions' character.
Tayah: I asked Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah whether the box blurbs will mention that you can pick your gender/race - they don't know. (I wish I could have spoken to one of the marketing people for you, aTigerslunch and Natashina!) Also, there will not be dresses available for Inquisitors to wear to the Orlesian ball. They told me that dresses are really hard to decently animate because you have to get the movement of the fabric right as well as that of the model within it. They said also that dresses make it really hard to fight. I kind of went "I get that for adventuring, but for the ball? Ooooh... there might be fighting at the ball, but you can't tell me that. Got it!" And they were noncommittal but if I'm going to speculate, then I think that is in fact what might happen. So... there you go.
I like the guy's suit...

I LOVE the guy's suit...But for the guy!I'd prefer my ladyquizie to wear something more...Ah well I wanted to see her in a fancy dress. ![]()
You're kidding, we go to a ball in another damn pants suit! Does this one come with man hands too? I'm so sick of fem hero being tacked on to whatever bloke hero gets custom made.
no dresses. I don't even want a huge ball gown, but I would have loved if I had a dress like this da2 mod gave me.

To be fair, while a dress would be a really nice thing to see, we don't know how it will look on the fem inquisitor yet
Thank you to anyone who read Laugh and wrote me a review, or alternatively left me a lovely comment on BSN. Thanks guys, I appreciate the support.
I normally write originals now, I'm hoping to get published but I'm glad I had the inspiration for another fanfic. And of Cullen, I was grinning for hours writing it.
If you guys do any prompts in future, I might join in the fun!

To be fair,I wouldn't mind any of those either!Anything but the man-suit(Which is lovely for gentquisitor btw!)
Also really loved that mod!

And we never will know how it looks.

I really like the guys style too. I would even settle for a pant suit if it was of slightly different design from the guys one. I used a mod for MoTA that kept the pants but changed the top to have lacey upper sleeves and a velvet bodice, still not a dress but it felt more inkeeping for a female character to wear to a formal function.
My FemQuisitor would never wear a dress, but it sucks that a dress is not an OPTION.
I mean it sucks we don't get options, period. If dresses are too hard to animate (which I don't find too surprising coming from the DA team; remember the stiff balloon dresses in the ballroom clip from one of the first released trailers?? LOL)... at least give us two choices of top and pants... with one being more masculine, and one more feminine.
Cause wearing pants and a top can be very, very feminine; I mean just compare Tallis' outfit to Hawke's.
And we never will know how it looks.
That kind of made me laugh. xD
