Hold up. Now I remember why I know she's a lesbian. Patrick tweeted about it forever ago. He himself declared the character as gay.

"Celene is Patrick Weekes' self insert." BEST ADVANCE CRITICISM EVER. My secret wish to be a gay Orlesian empress revealed!

.@KarinWeekes: "So now I have to dress you up as Celene for Halloween?" Me: Noooo? @SherylChee: YES.

I am curious if we get to help either celene or gaspard win the civil war?

Yup. One or the other.

Well, there's the

Spoiler

line, which seems to be romance/flirt (or something similar based on her tone and the lines themselfs) related. And since there's the relaxing and "some parts getting harder" (rough translation) part I assume it's spoken to a male, so...maybe?

I'm not sure I can translate it properly, though. Sorry. =(

Ummm, I have a translation from my daughter finally (who then asked where I found this, while snickering at me). I'm not going to try to clean it up enough for the forum (too tired), so PM me if you want the translation.

LOL!!!! Accurate :P And yet there are people who love Loghain...

I mean, I love Loghain as a whole concept of a character, from rise to downfall. And I love Celene too, jagged sides and all. I wouldn't invite any of them to my birthday party, but they're interesting characters. ;)

Gaspard... I've yet to find anything to like about this guy, but I know a lot of people love him. He's in the pile of characters people love but I just can't with, along with Fiona and Adrian. My Inquisitor doesn't know him so I can't wear my bias too strongly or it ruins the roleplaying, but... let's say I'm not looking forward to chat him up in game. :P

Are you suggesting that we're insecure? I wouldn't mind if Celene led the dance.

You're probably not the "straight gamer bro" type I was referring to :P See "Gamer Gate" dudes.

Yeah, it will be hard to RP a character who is willing to side with Gaspard... I mean I have to have "some" piece of myself in the character I play lol

I don't know much about either character, so I will see which person can convince my Inquistor.

Or youtube? Actually if you still have the saves just before you go to the Gallow for the last quest (Last Straw), just re-do it in Casual and you'll get it in less than an hour.

I think even the GamerGate dudes would take offense, considering they've been generalized by the media lately.

I was dearly hoping for an option to tell both mages and templars to sod off I don't caaaaaaare, but no such luck. -_- This game does not like letting us be impartial to conflicts we should have every right to not wanna get involved with...

This recent tidbit of the new trailer inspired me to write a quick little fanfic. Enjoy!

Sitting alone at the ornate marble table, Eliza gazed longingly at the dancers twirling in their silken Orlesian garments. The tinkling of laughter and music enveloped her with the nostalgia of an earlier more blissful time, and a whirlwind of memories swept her away from the ballroom...

... A farmhouse nestled into the Ferelden countryside glowed invitingly, its lanterns illuminating the night. The sweet aroma of her mother's bread drifted from the house and slipped into the old barn where Eliza's father was teaching her to dance. Towering above her on a haystack, he clapped his hands ceremoniously. The violin began to sing beneath her sister's fingertips, harmonizing with the crickets and frogs outside. He jumped down and kneeled before Eliza, his crinkly eyes peering up at her lovingly. "May I have this dance, El?" he asked. Grinning from ear to ear Eliza put her tiny fragile hands into his large calloused ones. He lifted her up, planted her feet on top of his, and they were off. As they spun, a myriad of coppers, auburns, and ruddy reds melded together around her. She closed her eyes, giggling with pure delight...

Eliza sighed and rested her head in her hands. Although so long ago, the memory remained vivid in her mind as if it had happened only yesterday. Oh what she would give to have her father with her right now... Just as she was preparing to retire to her quarters, she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder. Eliza flinched and spun around to see a pair of lush green eyes fixed on her, "I...didn't mean to startle you..." Cullen kneeled before her and held out his hand. "May I have this dance, El...?" A deep rose creeped across her cheeks as Eliza nodded and delicately placed her fingertips into his steady hand. He pulled her out into the center of the room beneath the glistening chandelier, and the world melted away.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, even as I typed that lol I hope we'll get a chance then to make it clear that we don't really care, but that we're picking the lesser evil.

It's kind like in Origin while we can't stand impartial to several sides (either Bhelen or Harrowmont but with much more impacts). Anyway I mean it's quite normal IMO, I'm pretty sure that whoever tears the veil it had to have something to do with the current conflict.

You're generalizing Artemis as I recall a few days you and others were up in arms when Mike Laidlaw generalized the Cullenites as rabid fangirls. I really don't think the guys at Gamergate would appreciate being labeled as sexist. SOME are, but some really are fighting against what they see as corruption and sexism.

Oooh an idea: how about Cullen and a puppy? Warden gave Anders a kitten (Ser-Pounce-A-Lot), Inquisitor can give Cullen a mabari puppy to keep him company. And he goes all soft every time he's with the little beast that reminds him so much from his own mabari when he was a wee kid.

Hmmm.... will have to think about it....

The way Laugh went... might go into slightly NSFW territory eventually. But that pup is so cuteeeeeee. (Wait, would NSFW be a problem?)

I don't think this is the place for that discussion, on either side, please?
