Chapter 6: She Who Has Faith

Summary: Three years after allowing Marian Hawke to escape Kirkwall, a disgraced Cullen is sent on a desperate quest to find her. Can he earn her trust in time to regain what he's lost and finally redeem them all for the role they played in igniting the mage-templar war? Set in 9:40, after the events of DA2 and Asunder. Rated T, but eventually a little bit M.
 
Chapter Summary: The next morning, Hawke faces up to her rash decision and puts plans in motion, including another awkward visit to the Chantry with Cullen.

Hey guys! I don't stop in here as much as I should. :3

 

I wanted to invite y'all to participate in a fanfic contest we're running. Cullen has seen some creepy stuff, and me and MysteriousPast would love nothing more than to spend the entire Spook Night podcast reading scary Cullen fiction..

Does anyone else get thrown out of the story every time they show the helmeted default male inquisitor in these (official) trailers? For one thing, the helmet looks so over-sized and clunky. But for another, I know that's definitely not my character and never would be, so it's just off-putting.

Does anyone else get thrown out of the story every time they show the helmeted default male inquisitor in these (official) trailers? For one thing, the helmet looks so over-sized and clunky. But for another, I know that's definitely not my character and never would be, so it's just off-putting. 

 

Meh, it's just a trailer. They rarely use music or footage from the game itself, so I'm used to not expecting much from trailers anyhow.

Weirdly no, since I actually would love my inquisitor to always wear that cool helmet (OK, I really like the helmet). Not as cool as Gray Warden helmet but really great.

 

Edit: in one of the interview with Aaryn Flynn, he said that up to that moment they always try to show a helmeted inquisitor with androgynous body shape to actually not putting an emphasis of either gender. It's for the cinematic trailer at least, not the "taken from gameplay" ones.

So I went to the store where my copy of the game will be shipped to. And I got to hold the empty case of DAI that's on display. I was petting it saying soon my precious...sooon....lol the manager who knows me reallllly well could only smile and laugh LOL.

If the manager had any compassion or humanity, he/she should have let you take the empty case home with you, imagine having you leave it all lonely on a shelf in the store You could have promised to take it back on release day to actually have the disc popped in it though

Well I think fan interest "helped" propel his character along at times ^^ And I don't think Pattonesque really implied more than that, so I'm cool with his/her question. And I actually find the idea intriguing on an academic level... I am almost jealous I didn't think of this topic first, lol!

 

Oh yeah, I didn't mean they were necessarily implying that in the existing post, just that I hope the final article won't imply that.

 

And semi-OT but while I'm still here: does anyone know when DA:I ordered from Origin will be playable? I've heard 8 or 9 PM 11/17 around here but it wasn't clear what time zone those people were posting from; maybe that's only for the people in Pacific time and farther west? (i.e. it would still be midnight for us here on the east coast?) I tried looking in Origin but couldn't find anything about it. I assume they tell you after you pay for it?

I believe the playable time is midnight Eastern (US). So adjust according to your time zone.

Yeah, I'm central so it'll be 11pm for me. Which has never happened before. I had to wait till 2am for Destiny. I double checked the time zone listing this go around before going digital again. xD

For me at Central Time, it will unlock at 11 PM. I plan on using a VPN to play the game earlier though.
