I have ordered my Inquisitors Edition through EB games and since I live in a smallish town and it is a 2 hour drive to the nearest EB store I opted to get it delivered to my house and not only will it not be released in my country until the 24th but they won't start processing the delivery of my order until 4 days after the release date which just happens to fall on the weekend which means that I may have to wait almost 8 days after release date just to get the bloody game! Seriously, what a shitty company. It is truly unfortunate that not only do I not have time to go on a weekday to pick it up but I can't even drive down on the weekend because we already have plans that I can't back out on and this is just sooooo depressing.

EB has a whole host of problems, though I frequent the Canadian version. (Their hiring practices have been brought into question so many times...) But yeah, this is why I always pre-order at the same store, and pickup my 'order' though it is an hours travel. Doesn't mean I like it though  .

I am seriously thinking about taking the day off so I can go and get it. I would have to leave straight after I drop my son off at school to make sure I am back in time to pick him up and find a babysitter for my daughter. They originally said that It would be delivered withing two days of release so there was no problem to begin with but now have changed it to will start processing you order four days after release. Cheeky bastards. An I know that my brother will gloat the whole time because he is getting to play it before me and he is my favourite person so I really don't want to have to hurt him.

Does anyone else get thrown out of the story every time they show the helmeted default male inquisitor in these (official) trailers? For one thing, the helmet looks so over-sized and clunky. But for another, I know that's definitely not my character and never would be, so it's just off-putting. 

 

Yeah, the helmet is super distracting and takes me out of the trailer entirely, especially because no-one else is wearing one. I know they want to hide the features of a default male human Inquisitor generic so you get to pick them, but the same was true of Shepard and Hawke and they still had a default appearance that was clearly shown?

 

Alternatively, they're trying to make this into another iconic helmet you can associate with a character, like Isaac Clarke, the Dragonborn or Master Chief. The problem is, their helmets were all ridiculously cool, whereas the Inquisitor's... if I have to be honest, looks kind of naff?

Very nice!  I understand the no dress thing, but it would be great if there were a couple of different top options to go with pants.  Then we could fit our PC's personality better.  As it is, I figure I'll be RPing that with all the chaos and end of the world stuff going on we either 1) don't have a tailor who can work on fancy dress clothes with us - anyone with those skills will be working on practical clothing 2) the invite came so late we didn't have time to get any pretty princess clothes and there weren't any in the loot we've found so far or 3) we found those uniform looking fancy clothes and called it a day because there were other things to devote our time to find...and I will still throw money at clothing DLC as fast as they make any available to us!

that's why i like the 1st and 3rd design best! still these are pants suits, but more festive in my opinion (:

 

i'd throw my money at hair for qunari dlc, and maybe clothing dlc too ;u;

The headcanon I've come up with to explain the pant suit is that all of the dresses that my Quizzy could choose from have slits on the skirt. She's got a really ugly scar on her leg that she's really ashamed of, and she's really vain, so as much as she hates the pant suit she'd rather wear that and not let anyone see her scar. At least, that's how I'm explaining it in game.

 

In my head she's absolutely horrified by that pant suit and she sucks it up and wears a dress. She'd rather be dead than be caught in that suit.  She can be really vain.

Well I know what Morrigan would do at least: Force the genie back into the lamp and destroy the damned thing in an effort to rid the piece of Flemeth that was stored in there.

No, no! The trick is to come home from work and sleep for several hours, setting your alarm to get up and create your character AND play at least a little before you have to get a little more sleep.

Morie, I love those! (Well, at least the first and third ones, the dress is pretty, but I'd rather admire it on someone else myself ) If I run a Dalish, I would prefer the third, but I could see even my blunt soldier, Sil'na, in that first one.

I'm in the position that someone asked if they could give it to me as a gift, but that leaves me with no control over when I actually get the game. Makes me edgy even though I know I won't be able to play that much before mid-December anyway (but my daughter who still lives with me has pre-ordered, so she may get hurt as well )

 

Kind of puts you in the tricky position of wanting your game but not quite being able to just come right out and say " Hiya friend, luvs ya! uhm when do I get my gift?". I have a similar problem atm a friend of mine is giving me a pretty upto date graphics card so I won't have to tweek DAI, I'm chomping on the bit now but I would just never, ever be so rude as to say "Oi, where's my card? posted it yet?" lol He knows when DAI is out and he is a prankster and wind up merchant, I bet he is deliberately holding off to make me sweat some
