Well, in short cullen for me is a prison guard, who despise his victims for them not liking how tjey are treated. I see his view on world as srh similar to ww2 nazis and their treatment of jews . So being forced to have even cold formal working relationship with a nazi is not sth i can easily fall into. I like multilayered characters too, and i seen many others in DA saga that are much more comolicated than him, at least thats how i felt.

 

I have played DA2 many times and I never had that impression of him.  I wasn't even his fan at the beginning.

If you talk to him and try to convince him to be more understanding, he's not so harsh for mages. And even when you don't he still stand against Meredith in the end.

Don't compare him to nazis, please. He was never cruel.

And Templars never treat mages like nazis  Jews in the concentration camps. Thought that  someone could think that is making me sad. It's completely out of place/

Ya, I'm kind of already in love with Dorian. Wish I could romance him with a female but this way it gives me a reason to roll a male.

Ugh... I'm only 34 & got a few greys starting to pop out this year at my temples... luckily I'm blonde so not so noticeable. I have to take comfort in that no one in my family (males or females) go bald...

Heh, 39 and 100%. I was born with a patch of white hair (my natural colour is black so it's always been very noticible) and by the time I was in my early twenties I was at 50%. I've given up dyeing to be frank. My hair grows so quickly that within 3 weeks I have half an inch of grey roots and I just don't like using such strong chemicals as often as I had to. Soo, now i'm just flying with the white atm. It does get amusing as people find it very difficult to pin an age on me because of it lol

Grey hair.......... I have a uhm few. My hairdresser was all "ah it's not so bad, you don't have that many", then she lifted up my sides and proclaimed "ahh, I see, perhaps a nice blonde colour today?" Thankfully I only see her twice a year at an absolute push. I get hubby to run a dye through my hair, last time he missed a rather large chunk (ass!) so if I get caught in a wind or run my hand through it, I have this massive, almost glowing patch of grey, all it needs is some flashing lights and a big glowing arrow to say "LOL Look here", only another couple of weeks until I can safely dye it again without fear of it going green just to add to my bad hairday misery

 

I can't decide on a name for my first Inquisitor either, I had one, thought about it too much and ended up all "blergh, don't like it now" so for now she is called Anon.

Doesn't she know the old wives tale that if you pluck one out, more will just grow back for that one?!

Despite thinking there's lots, people haven't noticed until I point it out. I have a friend younger who started going grey mid 20's and an adopted cousin with jet black hair going grey when he was 16...

I think I'm going to be in that boat for DAI, some of the names that you guys have for your Inquisitors are lovely, I just haven't had a flash of inspiration yet, perhaps you're right and it will come when I'm actually creating her .

I usually try to make my character name roll nicely with the intended romance. So I will pick one of my many for Cullen so far I'm sure Aeloria and Cullen work together in my head.

Yeah I´m like that too,I have a bunch of names ready to use but nothing is set in stone until I´ve created my character because sometimes the name simply doesn´t fit

There's a reason I started grabbing my Russian English dictionary to name characters. My friends who played mmorpgs would suddenly decide to switch servers and (being cheap) I never wanted to pay to transfer my characters, so I'd simply start up a new set. Bogging down on name selection was annoying (since you can't use a name someone else already has). So I have a lot of characters with names that roughly mean silence (Tishina), red (Krasna or Krasnaya), lake (Ozera), and sea (Morye). It's a quick, easy way to get a name, and has led to a few funny IM conversations in transliterated Russian, especially the time someone tried to recruit my Narezka ('diced,' more or less) into a Russian-speaking guild.

 

DAI names means starting with a fairly new set since I don't want to reuse any from DAO. Hmm, maybe I should reuse Narezka in DAI for a rogue...

Male human warrior: Alexander or Brandon or Marcus (Trevelyan), planned to romance Cassandra and be a BAMF epic hero, but if Dorian is persuasive enough I can allow this one be wooed by him...

 

Female human (rogue, mage): Alanna (from Song of the Lioness, but she's a knight there), Arya (GoT), Eleanor, Llewelyn, , Eowyn (LOTR). I'm not very creative. Maybe the rogue will be Alanna/Arya, the mage Llewelyn/Eowyn.

 

for dalish, I went for Anaire for my Warden but needs another name, unless all my PC will have the same name...

 

I need your vote everyone, which one of these that you prefer for female mage Inquisitor romancing Cullen?

- Llewelyn

- Arya

 

It's funny to see how many people associate the name Arya with girls. From where I came from Arya is boy's name. Many of Arya I know are actually boys. It's a kind of an ancient noble title, like 'Sir' or something like that. Aria's the girl version but not from the same origin apparently.

the funniest names I have ever had in an MMORPG was Pume (Pa oooooo m) no one ever said it right and I got that by sitting there staring at her and I start sining hakunamatata and yelled out PUMBA.

Then I had 2 characters where one was named Pita and the other Pocket. In MMORPG games my names are never serious lol

Oh all of those sound lovely! Alanna or Arya if you´re playing as a human? Arya is a boys name in my home country too, I think my parents were planning on naming me that if I had been a boy

You know, I'd really prefer him in this than what he has now. Less grand more practical, can be toned down like this out of combat and have a chest plate strapped on when needed and it wouldn't throw off his proportions as much as the other get up he has.

My first inquisitor is going to be an elf, her name is Taela. I am tempted to do a me/inquisitor for a human and she'll have my name, still not sure what to call my qunari or dwarf though.

I´ve picked out some names for the first Inquisitors that I´m playing so my first playthough is probably going to be Arleth Lavellan who´s going to romance Cullen, I´ve got another Lavellan ready for Solas but I´m not sure about the name yet,maybe Nahal or Rahil, Anya Cadash for Bull, Trystane Lavellan for Dorian,Ataash Adaar for Cass and Talhissra Adaar for Blackwall Haha I´ve got a lot of playthoughs ready and those are just the "main" ones
