Amazingly enough this is the pic that near matches his face from DAO and DA2 in pattern recognition software for IDs (yes I ran it on the sly). I guess Noodles spends too much time frowning in those games or at least the pics I compared..
I actually like the fact that he looks very different between happy and annoyed, but that's just me. I know a lot of men who look amazingly different when they actually smile or relax, rather than wearing their game face.

Alistair wasn't quite correct.Wouldn't the fact that the chantry controls lyrium distribution (and intentionally feeds it's templars the stuff routinely to insure "loyalty" but is more cautious and reserved about it with the mages) explain that handily?

She's a seeker and a famous hero, so the chantry cares more about her long term competence than they do about the rank and file Templars, so she doesn't have a lyrium addiction but she uses the abilities. Isn't that proof right there that the abilities are possible without...ingesting?
Regarding Cullen's lyrium addiction, I wonder if we as the inquisitor can choose (as a butt hole choice) to stop giving him lyrium or give him less than he needs to fully function... I'm not sure if it would really work seeing as he has to control the inquisition's forces... still it would be interesting to see

No, it's not enough proof. All we know is that she isn't addicted. That does not preclude the fact that the lyrium is necessary for the powers to work, period. Gaider wouldn't have bothered to retcon Alistair only to reverse that 2 years later for Cassandra.

Yeeaaah, I hope they explain the Cassandra thing, too. I can come up with headcanon to explain, but a priori it's pretty handwavey and suspicious.
Be sure to log out and log back in (both Origin and the Keep).
I logged in to Origin from my desktop when I got home (I don't have it installed on my laptop), and I was able to accept them fine.
My Origin ID is Raisya50. I think I accepted or sent requests to everyone from the PC group since it was easy to go through that list. If I've missed people, send me one.

Basically, we don't know anything except that she's not addicted, like Eluvianix said. So presumably there's some story reason behind it. Maybe the abilities aren't the same. Maybe only some abilities require a lot of it, and others don't. We know Alistair quit and started again, so maybe you can... time it. Too many theories without more info.
But it's very... suspicious.
Coming back to Cullen, our best comparison is not so much Cassandra but Evangeline, to my mind, who definitely needed it regularly. So... I reckon Cullen will, too. I'm not too concerned on that front, altho more info is more.
