My daughters told me about a couple of these, and yeah. I do prefer a clear "signal" for romances so you can chose whether or not to trigger them, but there's a big difference between complaining legitimately about accidentally triggering something and overreacting to what you triggered. It was way too easy to trigger a romance in DAO, but I think the more appropriate response is laughter and "well, THAT was random" rather than freaking out. And that's what frequents saves are for (or just accept that the 'organic' experience you hoped for is truly organic and went to totally unexpected places ).

 

You should YouTube "Dragon's Dogma romance" and watch the hilarity ensue Not only can you only have ONE save in DD (so no multiple save files in case you screw up) but it's extremely hard to get your chosen LI.

 

Lots of awesome vids of players realizing their LI is the fugly innkeeper or merchant dude LOL

Too bad I will never have one... Can we have kittens and puppies at DA:I? Just say starting a Kennel of Mabari (the noblest breed of Ferelden)? Then we can give our beloved commander a Mabari puppy to remind him of his homeland.

I didn't even know this and that game already made me mad! I was about over it when I realized that npc's were assuming my pc was male and conversing with that assumption and when the difficulty I had with the travel system became too much.

 

It's not fair for such a beautiful character creator to come attached to such a frustrating game.
