Since I mostly side with templars I usually let Anders go and it's his choice to fight till the end then, doesn't make me feel bad

Sebastian in mix does bring some problems but in my most playthroughs Sebastian didn't exist, I only bought the DLC recently and played one playthrough with him with me (and executed Anders since I wanted to romance Sebastian ). Anyways the difference for me is that is my Hawke a dick who would stab friend on back or is he/she just forced to kill their friend cause friend doesn't back out. I also like the drama on that, fighting with your friend to the death cause different believes.

See, I did that, (with a romanced Seb), so I could side with the Templars with Anders with me. So he just later kills himself anyway.

I really seriously wanted some DLC where i could kick Seb's arse all the way back to Starkhaven, then maybe tie him up and throw him into a dungeon for a while.

Actually there is a fic that I read ages ago that is a Cullen/Bethany pairing. Very well written and it just so happens to involve a red ribbon and bow wrapped around his man bits........

LOL This is exactly the story I was thinking of with all the red ribbon talk. Defira is great writer. She wrote one of my fave assertive!Cullen stories, Through These Pages. NSFW!

I don't mind Seb atall (I modded his hair though ) I always recruit him and did all his quests. Normally I play as a mage, side with the Templars in Act3 and knife Anders (My Hawkes have been pushed too their limits by mages and finally snap, Anders takes it for the team lol). Last playthrough, everything was the same but I let him go instead of killing him, so Seb left, none to happy with me! I forgot that Anders confronts you anyway in that scenario. It was a very quiet party picker that playthrough as I normally have both siblings dead too.

Did anyone notice that Sebs VA also voices an advert for a Bank on tv in the UK? I noticed a couple of weeks ago, I love when that happens, when you are listening to something random and the penny drops and you recognise a familiar voice . Hubby is playing WoW again and Gideon Emery plays the leader of the Blood Elves, at the end of one of the dungeons, he speaks...each time I'm "Fenris "  hubby just tuts at me, he just doesn't understand my voice thing .

 

I've never read or watched any reviews, I find it pointless. If I'm interested enough to follow a game, I'll buy it regardless. Peoples wants and expectations from a game have such a variance, I just don't find it helpful to have my head filled with other peoples notions of what is good and what's not. I'll make up my own mind tyvm

 

See, I have a problem with Cullen wrapped up in ribbons, especially for Xmas, I'm one of those pesky people who have to have a feel of a gift and worst case unwrap early, I can't help myself. All that squeezing, prodding and poking that I do to prezzies might have Cullens gift-self finding himself being a bit uhmmm...premature   (as usual that sounded better in my head ).

I like Sebastian a lot as character but although I understand his anger in the end of DA2 I think telling Anders to leave should have been enough.. I mean his line of burning Kirkwall or sth similar is just too out of place, it's not related to Anders at all! XD

I'm pretty sure that for Cullen the goal cannot justify all the means that you use. And he would not accept Anders show off in the end of DA II. For Sebastian, I'm really wondering the relationships the two could have together. I'm almost sure Cullen would force Sebastian to take back the throne to protect his people.

I always imagined Cullen and Sebastian would be friends, all things being equal. Like, they hang out a bit after the Chant every Sunday, or whatever.

Yeah, I agree. Cullen/Bethany isn't my thing either, but she opened my eyes to the pairing with another series of hers that starts with the Knight Captain's Favor. It's rather bitter sweet (and sweet. and sexy, of course). The one I recommended above is Cullen/Hawke, FWIW. Not that I have a weakness for those stories or anything...

If Cullen was charge in act 3 I think he would have executed Anders and not annulled circle. He was against annulling the circle from the beginning, I think he would have looked into more compromising practices. With templars he would have secured the peace within mages and templars, and Aveline with guards men would have took control in evacuating and helping people in the area of explosion.

 

After the incident people would be angry with mages I guess (at least Meredith said so) but I think Aveline and Cullen could make them calm down together by explaining that Anders who isn't from Kirkwall nor it's Circle is only subject.

There was a fanfiction Cullen/Hawke M fic that seems to have been removed where Hawke went to the masked Satinalia ball at the Viscounts, and she hooked up with Cullen not realising it was him. I wish that one was still there...

I agree though, it's weird sometimes to realise that all our favourite voices do in fact belong to real people lol.

Actually only Sebastian made a logical comment at the end of DA2: the culprit is right there and why are we talking about annuling the circle? Well I find him right so Anders never survived in my playthrough, siding with mages or templars. I guess I just can't stand him bickering with every other people in the party banter.

 

Since Seb & Fenris get along real well (he even convince Fenris about the Maker at some point), but Varric hate Sebastian, I don't know how Cullen might react to Seb. And I don't think that he'll force Seb to retake the throne, since Seb is a sworn brother.

 

Weirdly, while playing some DLC I got the impression and Seb and Bethany hit it together. It's like he started to woo Bethany (and little sister got all blushy) and big brother Hawke was like "Careful friend, that's my sister".
