I rarely have Bethany survive - I much prefer my Hawke as a mage and like the dynamic between them and Carver much better than the one with Bethany. The first few playthroughs I sent Carver to the Wardens (mainly because I caved to his whining about being left behind) but recently I left him in Kirkwall to become a Templar and that seems to be the best fit for him to me. I don't feel he does it to spite his sister but he wants to make his own path of his own choice (and with becoming a Warden it's a choice) and I think he really comes into his own there. Not that he isn't happy as a Warden, I know he is, but I like the Templar path for him much better.
As for the eluvian I've never had Merrill destroy it, but you have to rival her to have that option, don't you? I've never done that either. Can't bring myself to be mean to her and since I don't use her in my party often I don't end up rivaling her when I do/say things she would disagree with.
I don't think you need to full on rival her. Just pick the dialogue option that simulates rivalry at the end of a New Path and she'll destroy the mirror herself.I rarely have Bethany survive - I much prefer my Hawke as a mage and like the dynamic between them and Carver much better than the one with Bethany. I still haven´t figured out the world state for my Cullen/Lavellan playthrough which is the one I´m doing first but I do have one for Cullen/Trevalyan,thought that it could be fun if Leliana romanced Amell so you might get some banter bewteen Cullen and Leliana regarding the whole falling in love with a circle mage thing ![]()
Welcome to the madhouse!
Thanks. It's great to be here. I haven't been too long here, and I already love the madhouse and its residents!!!! The Cullenites rock!!! Yeah!!!! ![]()

Welcome!

I have a dalish world state saved for my Lavellan playthorugh....and a mage and templar world....I gotta fix the templar one some things I feel a templar supporter would do in DAO work but choosing them is making some other parts not fit so I gotta figure them out.
My fear with Merrill is that without the mirror, what is she gonna focus her energy on? That drive won't go away on its own overnight. I'm scared she's gonna become even more fixated on her blood magic.
My suspicion is that she might pour herself into trying to seek out an intact Eluvian, rather than rebuild one from the ground up.

Thinking about "unlocking" new beds for Skyhold by finding them out in the world...
Inquisitor: So Cullen, look what I found!
Cullen: Um, found...?
Inquisitor: *proudly* Yes. Can you believe someone just left it!
Cullen: Um, it's a bed. You just took someone's old bed?
I: Sure. They *definitely* didn't need it anymore. And... it's SO pretty. Where should I put it?
C: A... bed.
I: Don't you think it would look good in my room?
C: A used bed.
I: A lonely, lovely gilded Orlesian bed that needs a new home!
C: Trev, I will say this once. And once alone. *I* would never sleep in a used bed. Take that as you will. *nods* Trev. *leaves*
I: *ponders, before looking at soldiers who lugged the giant thing all the way up the mountain* All right . . . never mind, boys. Get rid of this one. I'll keep the one I have. Thanks anyway!
And at this point my Inquisitor recruits a furniture maker to craft a beautiful mahogany bed complete with lion motifs carved into it. And then runs off to show Cullen. ![]()
oh for goodness sake. What gives pixels the right to look like that huh? 20 more days. So close.
yiissss. Stealing that battlemage kit Solas was wearing. Cant wait to see what i can come up with and what i can get away with putting viv in before she hurls a fireball at my face.
So close I can taste it... taste him... *drool*

I agree,
Tired of my Cullen/Hawke OTP already, dear beta?
No way! I just know how new plot bunnies will develop when we finally get to see more of Cullen's actual personality. ![]()
So with the Keep open to all, we can talk about which means...decision time. I was with the Keep for a long while, and there has been two choices that I am iffy on. I am trying to create a "Golden" Worldstate which means I am having basically going for the "Perfect" or "Good" Worldstate. I am stuck on what I should do with Carver/Bethany...which would be considered the "right" choice? Taking them with you or leaving them back at Kirkwall. And should Merrill destroy the Eluvian or keep it intact?
What's right and wrong depends on how you view the story, Zarro. For everyone who says how they felt was right, I find myself shaking my head, anyway. It always seems like what's right for me is a bit off balance, hehe.
My own "right" choices:
Warden was a Cousland rogue, who ended up marrying Alistair in the end.
Everyone was recruited, including Shale, Leliana and Sten.
Anvil was destroyed and Bhelan rules the dwarves.
Brokered peace between the elves and the werewolves.
Saved Connor and even Isolde, Connor is not possessed.
Disappointed Cullen and saved the mages.
Gave Sten his sword and found Goldanna (although would've rather beat her down).
Alistair executed Loghain.
Executed Sophia and left Avernus alive, although ethical. Never chugged the potion.
Saved Amalia from Kitty's possession.
Didn't defile Andraste's ashes.
Gave Morrigan a grimoire and tried killing Flemith.
Asked Alistair to complete the Dark Ritual.
Made killing blow against the Archdemon.
Saved the city of Amaranthine.
Killed the Architect.
My Hawke, on the other hand, was an aggressive Garrett.
Hawke was a mage but generally leaned towards Templar control of magic in all dialogue and options.
Was a mercenary during the prologue.
Romanced Fenris. As many times as possible, sigh.
Turned mages over to the Templars during Act 1.
Asked that Keran stay in the Templar Order, and let Keran go during Act 3 conspiracy.
Carver stayed in Kirkwall and joined the Templar Order.
Didn't side with Petrice and enjoyed watching her die.
Isabella came back with the Tome and saved her from the Qunari.
Earned the respect of the Arishok and fought him in single combat.
Bartrand was killed and Varric was saved from taking the shard.
Killed the Bonepit dragon.
Sided with Larius and received Malcolm's will.
Let Tallis keep the Qunari scroll thing.
Helped Aveline romance and marry Donnic (awesome cute quest).
Was friends with Cullen.
Was friends with Sebastian, too, but that's not in the Keep options, hehe.
Merril's clan still alive and she destroyed the mirror.
Knifed Anders ("Anders, what have you done?!")
Sided with the Templars.
Does anyone know how to get your saved characters into the Keep? All my achievements transferred over to my account but the characters didn't...
Edit: I am able to see my custom Hawkes but not the wardens...

My Hawke never saw it as being mean to her. It was more that he was trying to help her. Okay, okay ... bluntly help her. And she responded like any other foolish teenager out to prove she knew better than everyone else more experienced than her, shrug. I love Merrill, she's a cute character. But she drove my mage Hawke batty, really. She never left Hawke in the end, though.
If it helps, when I was trying to figure out how to visualize my elf Inquisitor, it was Merrill I thought most of. So my Inquisitor has the same cute appeal and enjoys stories and lore in much the same way. My Inquisitor's just not so focused on the past as she is in taking proactive steps towards a better future for their people. Fallon tends to feel stories and history are designed to teach you how to move forward, not stagnate and wither away.
Frankly, once I'd set my world state to say that Isolde was dead, everything else was just the cherry on the cake!
I don´t actually mind Isolde that much but this made me think of this

serenai has some pointers here: http://www.princesss...troubleshooting
Thank you so much this is really helpful!

Thanks.
You know, when I first saw the lion, it made me think of Cullen.

Not sure how long it has been available, but I recently found that they've added a DAI t-shirt to the rewards catalog for Gamestop's PowerUp Rewards. I used points to get one and it came yesterday (must have been timed to arrive the day the game went gold
). It's a pretty thin material and only comes in men's sizes but is still pretty cool IMHO.

Thanks.

Haha just imagine Cullen hugging you
Ohh I wonder if you actually can hug him in the game?
I mean you can hug Dorian and Cole(?)
It will be dead up to where someone finally sees Cullen in the game and posts that they finally met him....probably, lol!
It would be interesting to see everyone's reaction to when they first see Cullen, in their own PTs. ![]()
