Not sure how long it has been available, but I recently found that they've added a DAI t-shirt to the rewards catalog for Gamestop's PowerUp Rewards.  I used points to get one and it came yesterday (must have been timed to arrive the day the game went gold ).  It's a pretty thin material and only comes in men's sizes but is still pretty cool IMHO.

 

 

Damn! They're running a sweepstakes to win the Skyhold Throne too! Now truly... where would one put that monster if they won it? I mean, look at it!!

I'm still having major problems with this, I've not been able to see my custom Hawkes and Wardens at all? All I'm seeing is the ones that were on the site when the old BSN went read-only...

I don't think you're the only one. Upside is that the characters don't have any impact on your game. Just the origin type. It's almost a shame they've spent so many resources on syncing when it really means very little.

True, but at least they are dedicated to trying to fix it. And since they've been trying to fix the syncing since March, I don't think they ever expected to have so much trouble with it.

 

Since it doesn't have much impact on the story, I opted to just use the default Male Human Mage guy and load him up with all my choices. The only difference is that he has the default appearance and the original name.

 

Thankfully, my Lukas Hawke hasn't had any trouble syncing at all.

I like Merril but she is the only companion I always rival (wee scone) she never gets to keep her eluvian intact lol smashed to pieces every time.

Most of my playthroughs, neither sibling survives, having no family ties towards end game makes it easier for my Hawkes to make their decisions and stick to them.

 

My book arrived this afternoon YaY!, already started it, so far, so good!

 

My guys don't sync into the keep but that's my own fault as I used the console command version of the launcher on the pc (for mods). I would need to attempt a playthrough without any of my fave mods, for me it's not worth the sacrifice All my achievements registered, that's the main thing.

I've been wondering if Bioware may be trolling or misdirecting us about the Warden not appearing, as a way to keep it a surprise?

 

The prologue decision about the prisoner for instance seems so out-of-place and has so many options to it, it makes me wonder if it's not simply a secret test of character to influence how our chosen Warden might act?

 

Ignored the Prisoner = Uncaring.

Convinced the guard = Persuasive.

Stole the food = Sneaky.

Killed the prisoner = Sadistic.

Stole the key = Double-crossing.

Payed for food = Generous.

 

What do you think? I could simply be making something out of nothing, but it does seem like such a random event from the game to warrant inclusion on the Tapestry, it makes me wondering if their might be more to it?

I think you're reading too much into it. Gaider said in a tweet that directly stated that the Warden is not in Inquisition.

Yeah, that's what I figured, but years of creators like GRRM and the writers of Doctor Who teasing and misdirecting their fandoms has lead me to take any official announcements from any creator with a grain of salt.

 

Personally, I'd rather not the Warden appear, but it's fun to speculate about the reasons for such weird choices in the Keep?

If anything, once they get the option to rename the Wardens and Hawkes in the Keep then even if the avatars aren't synced up, people can still set them to better differentiate their various characters.  I was glad to see my custom heroes finally sync this last time they fixed it, but even if it hadn't if I could name the default heroes the same names I used then it would help me tell one hero from the other when choosing them for my various world states.

So with the Keep open to all, we can talk about which means...decision time. I was with the Keep for a long while, and there has been two choices that I am iffy on. I am trying to create a "Golden" Worldstate which means I am having basically going for the "Perfect" or "Good" Worldstate. I am stuck on what I should do with Carver/Bethany...which would be considered the "right" choice? Taking them with you or leaving them back at Kirkwall. And should Merrill destroy the Eluvian or keep it intact?

 

When Bethany was alive, I made her a Gray Warden but she didn't seem to like it very much...she seemed very bitter about the whole thing. I've heard she is much happier in the Circle. I've made Carver both a Gray Warden and a Templar. He was very happy as a Gray Warden and was easy to get to 100 friendship. He seemed grumpier as a Templar and I didn't get him to 100 even though I was trying to do so. I always destroy the Eluvian. If it's important to the story in the future, I'm sure there will be another one somewhere, to further the plot.

I wasn't aware that was even a button to suggest tiles for the tapestry, although I guess that'd explain a bunch of them that I'd completely forgotten about appearing. It just seemed weird to me that the Prisoner, Ruck and Deygan ones were all either kill/ignore/pet the dog type choices?

Even if the Warden is not in Inquisition, you gotta admit it -- those ideas are awesome. I would've loved if BW used that to give our Warden's personality. But I'm glad at least Hawke will be in Inquisition. And I hear we can give her/him the appearance we want, so we can have the same Hawke we RPed in DA2.

I heard that as well but is it based in the keep or is it going to be in the game? How will we choose what our hawke looked like?
