The Keep doesn't track rivalry, or if it does, it phrases it very obtusely.

Yup. I Think it might be related to approving on The Chantry's destruction...which isn't a good way to track it, anyway.
I won't be influenced by The keep though. I'm not changing past decision based on what and how The keep tracks down choices. If it'll screw up My choices (it'll likely screw up My neutral Hakwe), so be it.

As for Sebastian, well, most of the reason he's angry is because Elthina was killed in the blast. But the thing he forgets is, she had her chance to leave Kirkwall when the Divine sent Leliana to tell her that it was no longer safe to remain there, but she chose to ignoring that warning like she did with everything else. I liked her, but she kind of brought it upon herself to remain even knowing that she had a target painted on her back.

Yes, there are certainly arguments to be made that she made mistakes and bears the burden for how the situation escalated. But saying she deserved to get blown up because she didn't leave the Chantry and should've known better...? That "she was asking for it"? Ummmm

Anyway, this is definitely NOT a discussion I want to get drawn into again.

Well yes and no. I can see what you're saying, but the Divine, Leliana and Sebastian all told her that she should get the heck out of Kirkwall because there were a lot of people who were actively gunning to take down the Chantry, such as the Resolutionists.

 

I'm not saying that what happened was her fault, but she took a huge risk in choosing to ignore their advice and stay in Kirkwall.

 

But yeah, it's probably a topic that's best suited for elsewhere. Back to Cullen!

See, I killed Anders most times because he was my friend and he was not in control if himself, with no way to reverse the merging with Justice. Anders told me that he didn't want to blow up the Chantry but he couldnt stop Justice, and he begged me to kill him. It was the only way to free him, he couldn't be trusted as he was.

I've been telling my mom the awesomeness that is Cullen. She can never decide if she wants to laugh or shake her head in exasperation. I tend to elicit that sort of response from her though... even when I talk about writing original characters. She read Laugh....Naturally, I didn't show her the sequel but still.

I don't get any hate for a character tbh but that's just me 

 

When it comes to Anders, I feel there's a fundamental misunderstanding of the character(s) and the situation.

 

You can be mad at Anders for agreeing to merge with Justice, I guess, but that's a meta-feeling... Hawke didn't know Anders before he did that.

 

Everything Anders does in DA2 (well, just about) is related to him no longer being "just" Anders anymore. It's really sad and tragic.  I just imagine him being so tired... but unable to stop. It's horrific. 

 

I hopelessly pray for the chance to separate him from Vengeance in DAI, sigh 

If we could separate Anders from Vengeance, that would be one of the best things that could happen to me in DAI. I just hope there's anything left of him to save. He was pretty messed up in DA2.

 

I never kill Anders in my PTs. No matter what kind of Hawke I role-play, when it comes to killing Anders, I can never bring myself to do it. Plus, to me it feels like the one who plotted the Chantry destruction was Vengeance, not Anders. If you Rivalmance him, you can see how Vengeance takes over, as you can convince him to fight it. And if you Friendmance him, maybe he succumbs to Vengeance, because Hawke's actions lead him to believe she agrees with his morals and ideas, and that what he does is right. Anyhow, Anders in DA2 is not entirely Anders anymore. Whatever he does, I'm sure Vengeance is involved in the least.

My normal preference is dark haired scruffy men. That would say I should be excited for blackwall but something about the blonde men of bioware. I am just to excited to romance Cullen its getting reridiculous. My poor husband is gonna be alone for like 3 months till I romance Cullen with all options and classes lol

See... I've been having a plan for this. First, bug Mom. When she looks on the verge of strangling you, bug Dad. When Dad's patience starts to wear thin, bug best friend #1 who used to play Dragon Age Origins. 

 

THEN bug best friend #2 who KNOWS best friend #1 but doesn't play Dragon Age at all so you can tell them the whole story from beginning to DA:I including the books in between. 

 

THEN when you realize there's a group of Cullenites that are JUST LIKE YOU, you come to BSN everyday to read the rumours and spread the goss! 

 

And between the times you are on BSN, you find the above listed people to bug again. By now, they should have recharged their batteries and should be ready for my incessant fangirling again.
