My biggest complaint will be that bioware has put resources into elements I don't care about (multiplayer, Keep decorating) and not enough into what I value as a player. But clearly they cant please everyone all the time.

Overall... can't wait for the 18th.

 

Not dismissing you or anything, but I feel like the overall focus on faces in the CC, and multiplayer, and combat, was done with the knowledge that they could basically port all of it into DA4 without changing much. DAO didn't change much to DA2 after all (the bare bones I mean). They'll probably go crazy with player customization now that they have such a fabulous base to work from.

 

YES!!! I love this post!!! I wish more ppl would talk about this in schools  and educate ppl. When I first found out I was bi, I was in my teen years  and when I told my mom  that  I like girls as well as boys she didn't know how to respond to that, I guess she didn't understand it at the time... but then she came to terms with it and supported me no matter what. 

 

When i tried to open up to my friends about it, they treated me like I was some sort of an abomination or something... like I couldn't even compliment a girl on her appearance cause she thought that I want to hump her.. it was so frustrating  because I couldn't be open to anyone about who I really am without being judged ... I guess a lot of it has to do with religion and why they don't educate ppl about it...  many ppl in my country are pretty religious if you talk to someone about those things you can guarantee yourself a ticket to hell

Sex ed really needs to get it's **** together in high schools. I live in Canada, and there's not much here in sex ed (or was, as that was 5 years ago, although a friend that graduated last year says otherwise), that helps the LGBTQ community... like at all.

Definitely agree, Kurin. I think what they've managed to do with the new engine is great, and certainly with all they've said they're looking into for future iterations we'd better be getting some serious customization next time.

I am dying for the 18th to come... trying to distract myself with classes and work can only do so much.

The game and game guide are pre-ordered and I will be buying my PS4 this week. I am looking forward to the game and I know there will be things I love about it and things that will annoy me.

It will likely be the little things that bother me.

If cullen never removes his gloves, or turns out to be a sanctimonous pontificating man's man, I will be annoyed.

Not being able to wear a ball gown to the Ball (Vivienne and Josephine will appalled at the breech of diplomacy, common curtest,y and good taste) really annoys me.

The plastic hair is pretty nasty. I have been spolied by Dragons Dogma and the fabulous character creator that game has.

You do realize that the multiplayer and the single player are made two entirely different teams, right? Multiplayer didn't take "resources" from the single player experience at all.

Cullen has to take his gloves off...HAS TO!!! his gloved hand look so delicate & gentle. I bet he has good nails too lol. (He can keep his boots on though, well at least until he is almost IN bed and I don't actually have to see those things attached to his ankles)

And the reaction that you received (from your friends) is exactly why people repress what feels natural to them. It is hard enough being a teenager and some understanding in those early years (and in some cases, much younger) can go a long way. I'm straight, I have never felt the need to question my sexuality and it makes me angry that some people that aren't straight feel like they need to question theirs because according to some it isn't "normal/natural".

 

I knew a guy in school (D) who was a couple of years older than me and I had the biggest schoolgirl crush on him. He and this other guy (B ) were best friends. I would always see them together. Anyway, I saw D a couple of years after I had graduated and we had a catch up and he was telling me that he finally started to tell people that he was gay around a year beforehand and then he told me that he and B were no longer friends because B was very religious and once he had found out D was gay, wanted nothing to do with him. It made me so sad that someone could put aside years of friendship over something like that. It took me months to even wrap my head around someone doing that. I'm not saying that all religious people are like this, and especially not in my country where gay marriage is legal and most are generally quite accepting but there are always some, religious and non-religious, that need to realize that it will never be their place to judge someone on this.

 

I'm starting to think that Make-up artist shouldn't have been my chosen profession. Looking back, I wish that I had trained to be a guidance councilor.

Since we're on the subject of release dates. I would advise everyone who's gonna use VPN to unlock the game early, to use a korean server.

It will allow you to play DA:I on the 17th at 3 PM CET

I didnt know there were two teams - one SP and one MP. So does this mean that the SP would not get any extra dollars to spend on the SP game if Bioware or EA decided not to do a . MP? Just seems to me some of the dollars invested in the MP would have or could have gone into the single player.


Not sure I understand the technical issues with the new engine, and how that impacts being able to have more realstic hair, more hair styles, gait choices, the ability to wear a dress to an Orlesian ball (and play The Game) etc. But these are minor irritants for me me LOL... it just would be nice....

I am worried about hands in the game.  Remember Bailey in ME3?  His hands looked like they had been dipped in #$%^!!  And Anders had kinda gross hands too.  If they gross up Cullen's hands, I think I'll cry!

Yes, EA gave bioware more money to implement MP. They won't have those money without MP.
