Eh its difficult to tell what the perfect world state will be until we meta the hell out of inquisition. So ive gone for variety in my keep saves   As for the elfs being equal, ive got 2 elven saves, a city elf selfish trainwreck of a save and my dalish supremacist save. For my dalish, she did most of the good decisions, with everything being pro elf (so the poor wereolves did not get a cure lol), i intend to use that save for my dalish mage, shes gonna mooch around everywhere rolling her eyes at the shems (but actually being quite nice despite pointing out how fabulous the dalish are). Im not sure why i picked city elf for the trainwreck, i guess i thought either she/mage or casteless dwarf would have the right rp attitude for 'why should i care?'

My city elf playthrough is actually my "happy" playthrough. I played him as a wide-eyed young thing eager for adventure, and so I indulged him. I just cancelled my Inquisitor's Edition ... Just looking at all those knick knacks that come with it, it's not worth it. They'll either be played with and lost by my young ones or just sit on the shelf and collect dust. I also do not trust GameStop to have the game at my door on the 18th. So I'll go with the digital deluxe instead.

 

Now that I've found out about Steam and Origin, I've grown accustomed to downloading games.

It's a lot cheaper than the physical copy - games in my country are all imported and the import tax is almost double the price of the game - and whenever I wish to play, all I have to do is run the file.

 

I'm from the Mega Drive generation, so i'm used to cartridges and CD Roms, as well as consoles, all physical copies. This digital thing is quite new to me.

But considering how much money I save and how convenient it is to just pay and download 1 day later, I'm slowly adapting to the recent change in gaming industry.

Well, I was going to post something on the sexuality discussion, but the post got eaten by the lag monster and vanished, so I'll try again.

 

I don't understand how anyone can let who a person is change how you feel about them. My kids grew up with lots of adopted aunts and uncles with diverse sexualities and were at least pre-teens before they realized they were encountering anyone who thought they had a right to judge. My oldest coming out as bi to a lesbian friend of ours was actually funnier, and sadder, than her coming out to me (I'd figured it out years before she did, so our conversation amounted to "Mom, by the way, I'm bi." "And? Got a hot date, and do I get to meet her or him?"). Our friend started trying to reassure her that it was OK, and my daughter dissolved into giggles rolling on the floor, and asked "Aunt S, who is my mom?" S looks at me, then my daughter, and finally starts laughing. Sad because this was a woman who'd cried on my shoulder and taken my kids swimming and camping for years (and had to be repeatedly reassured that I didn't think she was trying to 'recruit' them). And it took most of a year to convince my future daughter-in-law that I was OK with their relationship (and not only did I not consider it my business, I just cared that they were happy together-her own family has mostly cut her off). Sheesh, love doesn't come with conditions on who you are.

Okay so I am finally starting a Cullen fic....it's ALL BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS!  Now the question is if I should have any sex scenes or have them simply fade to black...tasteful all must be tasteful. Stories I write rarely have any sex scenes so I don't know how...*cough* well I could write something like that.

I would fumble on my words trying to write a sex scene. I blush just reading them in novels let alone fan fic. Honestly whatever you choose to write I would love to read it when your done

Okay so I am trying to create the perfect world state for my first pt with romancing Cullen. I thought I had it all figured out but now I am not sure. Just looking for a little imput here. I am very big on trying to change the minds of humans vs the elves. I really want them to be seen as equals ( I know this will not happen more than likely) I am trying to decide if it would be better to have a dalish or city elf for the DAO portion of keep??? Any thoughts and why the option you picked......

I think the best options for the most interesting Cullen romance is to play human mages for both DAO and DA2. If you play a human in DAO you get to be related to Hawke which could lead to possible dialogue where Cullen mentions that he seems to be followed by Amells or something lol. But at the same time I would hate to have mages for ALL THREE games so if you're not too keen on that idea then I think it doesn't really matter what race your DAO character was as long as she's at least a mage.

Developers have stated that MP in Inquisition is not like Multiplayer in ME3 though.   They already said stated there is no assets to be gained.

I never stated it was like the MP in ME3. I did say that they changed things to blance things like they also did in ME3 for the multiplayer aspect of the game. Which means they arent a like but did change things in the game. READING is a must my friend.

You know a small part of me wishes that the Keep beta remained a closed beta. Everywhere I look in the story campaign area is someone always complaining about the keep. And I want to say: "discuss it in the Keep area!"

I'm sure your story will tell you where to go with it. Fade to black can be just as steamy as the full monty, as it were. Just go with what you're comfortable and interested with.

The devs put out some teases once upon a time, likening the then-unannounced followers to food. It was a silly thing that got more focus than warranted since there was so little news at the time.

So, this is kind of interesting, esp since we've talked about a couple times around these parts. Despite DA:O tell us the contrary, according to DG apparently Thedas really *is* intended to be a pretty sexist place. Whelp. There you go then.
