The devs put out some teases once upon a time, likening the then-unannounced followers to food. It was a silly thing that got more focus than warranted since there was so little news at the time.
That's hilarious I wish I would've seen that xD

I've heard about Alistair vs Strawberry Shortcake/Strawberry Cheesecake/Strawberry Spongecake story ![]()
So they won't release anything about Advisors? What a pity... IMO Cullen's like a steak...
So, this is kind of interesting, esp since we've talked about a couple times around these parts. Despite DA:O tell us the contrary, according to DG apparently Thedas really *is* intended to be a pretty sexist place. Whelp. There you go then.
I feel like sexism inevitable anywhere really, so this doesn't surprise me much

I already feel that in Thedas there are less sexism than in the world I live in.

A BIG, JUICY sirloin... *shivers*
I just cancelled my Inquisitor's Edition ... Just looking at all those knick knacks that come with it, it's not worth it. They'll either be played with and lost by my young ones or just sit on the shelf and collect dust. I also do not trust GameStop to have the game at my door on the 18th. So I'll go with the digital deluxe instead.
I also wanted to get the Inq edition but then decided not too because 1 it would take too long to get here and 2 as you said it would just collect dust.. so the digital deluxe is def the right choice for me as well
I had a PC Inquisitor Edition pre-ordered the minute they went online, but I recently canceled mine in favor of the Digital Deluxe too.Yeah i never bother with collectors editions anymore, too much stuff cluttering the place up as it is. Digi deluxe unlocks all the cool game stuff which is what i really care about so my choice was easy
ewww
What can I say? He bleeds for you! ![]()
What can I say? He bleeds for you!
Now that would make a blood mage very happy ![]()
There he is ladies and gents: Cullen in the flesh
*gags* oh, the blood.... ![]()
Now that would make a blood mage very happy
I always knew that deep down he had a soft spot for blood mages ![]()
Oh yeah, I love my steak more on the raw side as well, otherwise I might as well order a piece of leather and chew on that =P Also it's not blood, it's meat juice. The animal is bled out after slaughter, there is no more blood in there.

Oi, well, I always wondered at a few of the remarks in DAO, but they seemed to be odd (repugnant) individuals for the most part. I assumed the reason for relatively few women in the Grey Wardens had mostly to do with broodmothers...
Anything above a medium-rare is overcooked for a steak
Although I'm biased. I work at a steakhouse, and whenever I come in on my day off and order whoever serving me usually writes "moo moo motherf*****" on the bill for me. Kitchen knows what's up. Although for certain cuts I'll order a rare instead. Medium-rare-rare for prime rib because while it's possible to get it super rare, it's dangerous.
Although anyone who comes in and orders a chicago blue-rare steak is the devil and not to be trusted. >.< Not that it's impossible, it's just really annoying and a pain in the ass to do...
Hello, newcomer! Welcome to the Cullenary topic.

Wow. I must confess to slowly losing faith in him as a great world-builder. Yes he's still an awesome writer, especially when it comes to dialogue, but I'm less and less impressed with the creation of Thedas itself. It's incredibly derivative and almost completely lacking in imagination; almost none of the great institutions are questioned or challenged or altered, and ideas like sexism and homophobia are simply carried over from our world and plopped down into the world of Thedas. It's downright lazy writing is what it is!
edit: never mind. i need sleep and less caffeine.
NEW GAMEPLAY
My gawd, is that the male qunari?? wow
Cassandra romance!!
Where's The Elder King -- translate for us
(It's Italian, right?)
Lol, I don't think qunari were meant to have full on beards. It just don't look right.
Tallis's buddy had a beard, right?

Not disagreeing with your point at all, but I'd just like to point out that he's not the only one involved in world-building or writing? I mean, there's all the writers who have ever worked on Dragon Age, as well as the creative director. It's the creative director who comes up with the ultimate vision for the game, and the writers have to work within the confines given to them. So if you're praising or criticizing something about the world-building or narrative of a game, then don't attribute that to one single person, because it's a team effort. The exception is if it's something that one individual is in charge of personally, like say the way a character is written or a major quest--and even that is dicey, because even though they're put in charge of that part of the project, they're still subject to peer-review and input from the rest of the writer's pit, regardless if they're the lead or a senior writer. And even the lead writer has to bring everything they have after peer-review up to the editors and in some cases, right up to the creative director.
