I saw the new cover and the trailer. Asdfghklzxvbngdh I am so happy right now. Words can't adequately describe how excited I am. I literally watched the trailer 10 times in a row. I loved hearing Varric crack a joke about demons. I loved seeing Cassandra and Cullen. I loved everything.

I have a few questions, tho. Are the people at the end our companions? Or only some of them? Can someone tell me everything we learned from the devs?

Our companions are definitely on that final panel. No doubt about it. Only one or two mysteries left, concerning Cole and the Warden. Though I think Cole will be our final character on top of Dorian.

We've learned nothing further specific about the people at the ends. Popular opinion (to which I subscribe) is that the people without weapons are our NPC's, since there are only three, and there are twelve people besides our Inquisitor.

 

Cullen does not have a weapon. I do not believe he is a companion.

 

Also, the Grey Warden, the last Warrior companion possible, was seen again in-party wielding a two-handed sword. At the end, he is also seen with a large two-handed sword.

 

The final rogue slot is taken by another character with shaggy blond hair. He is believed to be Cole. Cole has two daggers attached to his back.

 

That's my take, anyway.

^this. Different, but I was expecting different. And I still think he's hot but that wasn't the best of pics for a full reveal; I'm content to see where it goes in game. Besides, my concern is always personality and story, first. If anything the VOICE of my pixilated romances trumps the looks for superficial purposes... And we know it's still GE voicing him so I have no worries there. *fans self*

LOL No, no, no. There are 12 people around the table, plus the Inquisitor. So three of them must be NPCs. Again, it's just guessing game who they are.

Also the DA twitter peeps confirmed that not all people present at the "last supper" are companions, but all important to the inquisition. Or aid it. Or something. I'm too lazy to dig up my own post.

Quite dislike his hair, and his face seems bland and derpy, though Nikki's edit helped with that. I was hoping for a more aged look.

 

That's pretty much how I feel about it, aside from the aged look. I guess it's hard to tell when it's such a small picture of him in dark lighting, but it looked to me like he had a weak chin and, as you said, a derpy look. The hair is a bit... Prince Charming from Shrek for my liking, and he looks kinda posh, which doesn't do much for me.

 

... That being said, they all looked kinda derpy, even Vivienne who we know is stunning up close. Regardless, it's Cullen and I'll take him any way I can get him, lol!

That voice could make anyone attractive, so I'm not too worried.

 

I told myself I wasn't gonna obsess over new stuff and read too much into things.

Now this trailer comes out and here I am like...

It makes me sad that he probably isn't a companion, because I know when I romance a companion that in battle or something I like to pretend they are protecting my character and all that jazz. Or when I throw a healing spell on them it's in a desperation of love. (; haha
