Cheesy or not cheesy, both types have its plus and minus.
I like Alistair's 'cheesy' romance because he's the caring one, the one who just so huggly (does this word exist?) and cuddle. It's two people comforting each other while facing literally either the end of the world, either the end of at least one of them. Encouraging each other, keeping an eye on each other. Be with one another until the very end.
I like Fenris' subtle ways, since it means that every single thing he said, he really means it.
Wonder what Cullen's will be... He had live through many things, so I don't expect him to be cheesy early on. It's like allowing him time and space to actually take down the protective barrier he might put around him, by himself.
