why do they get it early? Just for having an xbox one? What do they have to do?

Yes, I liked her in DAO, but I think I'm going to like the harder-edged Leliana even better. I really hope there's at least a letter in game between her and my Warden in my romance WS.

 

I have seen so much Anders hate, that I almost forgot there are also many people who love him. Nice to see I'm surrounded my Anders fans.

Not everyone who isn't a big fan of Anders is automatically a hater, there's a lot of ground in between. I liked him a lot in DAA, was pretty so-so on him in DA2. But like several people here, there are only a few characters (none of them companions) that I even dislike. There is enough Anders hate to make it easy to read more casual statements of "I don't like Anders" to automatically mean that person is a hater when sometimes it just means they aren't a fan.

 

I was pretty cautious when I started posting in here because, while I find Cullen's character development fascinating, I had a lot of reservations about who he might be now and I didn't want to offend anyone. That's changed over the past few months, especially since we've been seeing him in action in the cutscenes. But while I think I'll like him a lot in game and I can't wait to see how they've developed him (and his more mature personality is more my type), I still have reservations (about all the companions and advisors, to be honest, at least until we see them).

Don't quote me on this but I'm assuming if you preordered the digital copy you'll be able to play it on whichever console you preordered it for. As for the hard copy... I'm not certain.

What I know & quite sure:

- the two books (The Calling & Stolen Throne) written by Gaider is considered Canon since it takes place before DA:O

- Alistair's is Fiona's son with King Marric. Fiona is a grey warden elf mage, still alive at the end of DA2 at least, apparently alive in DA:I since we can ask Vivienne about Fiona using present tense. Fiona & Duncan & Riordan took their joining together

- Fiona had Marric arrange something for Alistair since she can't raise him herself. It turns out Eamon & Duncan each keep an eye over him.

Maferath was Andraste's general as well as her husband, right? So if we play an Inquisitor who gets into the "Herald of Andraste" thing, doesn't that make Cullen our Maferath? And we all know how that ended...

I'm not a huge fan of his and I had done both letting him go/kill him at the end, but never tried his romance. So, how is it? Did you also get that last kiss before the final battle?

Anders is... complicated. You'll probably hear that from every fan of his. I don't blame people who hate him or simply dislike him. It's just nice to find more people who also love him, and share things we like about him. Just like we do with Cullen, or any favorite character.

 

As for the final kiss -- unlike Fenris (which I never romanced, but I was told how things work with him, and it seems there is a kiss from his in the end, no matter how you role-play) Anders doesn't always has the kiss before the final battle. If you Friendmance him, there will be no kiss from him. If you Rivalmance him on the other hand: if you side with the templars, he will kiss you; and if you side with the mages, you won't get a kiss.

And yeah you get it no matter what because Hawke and Fenris' story, so long as you romance him 100%, is basically a happy ending, unlike Anders (where a kiss might seem out of place, I guess... though I was still mad not to get one, lol!)

Xbox One has a deal with EA, called EA Early Access which let's you play EA games early for 5$ a month, but as far as I know it's only a trial, not the whole game.

I have never had a kiss from him even with siding with the mages. He's either holding out on me or I am missing something?
