That's pretty much how I feel about it, aside from the aged look. I guess it's hard to tell when it's such a small picture of him in dark lighting, but it looked to me like he had a weak chin and, as you said, a derpy look. The hair is a bit... Prince Charming from Shrek for my liking, and he looks kinda posh, which doesn't do much for me.

 

... That being said, they all looked kinda derpy, even Vivienne who we know is stunning up close. Regardless, it's Cullen and I'll take him any way I can get him, lol!

I agree about Vivienne she looked a bit...I don't know weird,derpy?  ...I think the lighting doesn't do them justice at all!

Well, even to just be a romance option -- we're gonna get a lot of Cullen time. I'm also very excited about the companions. Sera looks so cute!

It makes me sad that he probably isn't a companion, because I know when I romance a companion that in battle or something I like to pretend they are protecting my character and all that jazz. Or when I throw a healing spell on them it's in a desperation of love. (; haha

 

Same, and in DA2 I went on "solo" runs with all my LIs. It makes it feel like a special journey between your PC and their main squeeze

So, what's the general consensus on Cullen's new physical appearance?

 

It took me a little bit of getting used to because it's different, I'll admit.

 

I think I'm good with it, though. He's still recognizably Cullen. With the same voice, and if he still has his personality intact... yeah, I'll take him. 

 

I also think he's going to look better in the game than he does in that shot. It's cool to see them all lined up like that, but it's really not super flattering to any of them in terms of attractive looks.

I just wanted to say that I always liked his chin from dao, and it seems they go for smaller and smaller with each installment. Soon it will completely disappear

But in all seriousness, I can't really tell if he's goodlooking, I need to see him walk and talk, so to speak.

 

Solas, who I didn't care for, now seems interesting;

 

Cole gives me a Dante Devil May Cry look, which I don't mind at all;

 

The iron bull: his head is too small, but looks bad ass overall;

 

Sun tan moustache has an interesting and attractive jawline and physique;

 

Grey Warden, the only one with long hair, looks awesome in his armor and big sword.

 

 

But as I said before, I need to see them moving on screen, hearing their voice to know if I find them interesting/appealing.

What's interesting as well is that the gender ratio is basically even in the "last supper" picture, which makes me think that Leliana and Scribe Girl are going to be playing incredibly significant roles as well -- maybe that's how BW justified having so many male companions?

Yeah, I didn't think that last shot was very flattering to most of those present, which is why I'm not worried at all about Cullen. In-game, in his own cutscenes, etc, I have every faith they'll have worked frostbite magic.

I like that,and Scribe girl looks quite intriguing as well not to mention gorgeous even in that unflattering picture!

The trailer actually made me super hopeful about Cullen's role in the game.

 

Yes, I think he is almost certainly a non-companion NPC rather than a follower.

 

I'm finding, though, that it doesn't really worry me at all anymore. He's important enough to be at the table! That is huge! Even if he's not traveling with the Inquisitor, he clearly has a significant and meaningful role to play. I'm happy!

Ahh, alrighty then. Did some searching. Think from what I saw of that little shot of Cullen, he reminds me of a mix between Ryan Carnes at his most blonde and a little bit of Dax Shepard.

I sure hope you're right, because one of the few things I am a leeeeettle miffed about is lost hope of more female companions. Especially a dwarf or Qunari.

That and I was admittedly really hoping for no Cole. Ah, well. here's hoping I am pleasantly surprised there.

Now if only GW and/or Varric are romanceable for one of my inquisitors, then life will be complete.
