Whew, it scares me actually when the game will really come out. I have this extremely high expectation on the game (and on Cullen's & Cassandra's romance arc, Varric friendship arc) that it'll actually be a disappointment...

Indeed, although I have to wonder how much blood is actually required for some of the larger more detailed ones?......I always imagined, you know a few drops, not pints!

I just feel like a mass murderer everytime I side with them... On the positive side, siding with templars give many small bonus that I appreciate:

- Cullen character development (references to what happened on Broken Circle)

- Bethany hug

- Anders Kiss (apparently)

- awesome templar music at the e,d

- all templars lead by Cullen fall literally to one knee...

I know. I'm an Anders fan... who prefers to Rivalmance him and convince him to side with the templars. (I did Friendmance him and sided with the mages on first PT, because once you started down the Friend path with Anders, you can't convince him to join the templars in the fight, at the end of the game, and I didn't want to kill him just so I can fight alongside the Templars; and I couldn't know in my first PT that Bethany would survive of you side with the templars.

 

As for mass murder... there is bloodshed either way. A war was started. You can spare the innocent mages if you side with the templars, true, but people are going to die either way, on both sides. And Hawke will be involved in that fight, no matter with whom she sides with (mages/templars).

 

Anyway, I tried siding with mages, and siding with templars as well. If it was up to me, I would have brokered a peace. No war at all. Better than picking sides. But that wasn't an option.

Aww shucks, I mean I've noticed how everyone tends to get along really nicely here but I totally didn't expect such a warm welcome. But who am I kidding, of course people who can appreciate the nuances of a character such as Cullen would be paragons of courtesy and kindness, aM I RIGHT FOLKS? Yes. No but seriously, wow, I sort of half-expected my post to get lost within the thousands of pages of this thread, haha. Thank you all immensely (◐▽◑)

I'm seriously worried about the graphics. Some facial features and hair could be more elaborate. 

Idk, so far, we've only seen the Pre-Alpha Build. Maybe when the game comes out, the characters will seem a lot more developed.

 

What keeps my hopes up is that Greg Ellis's voice compensates for a lot of things. His tone is so flexible it allows for Cullen to sound alternatively serious (like a commander should) and sassy (when relaxed and playful). It's a delight just listening to him talk.

 

But still, hope Bioware upgraded the graphics, or shots will be fired.

I'm actually going to try this now. Wasn't too sure before, cause I don't like the idea of my LI running off and killing himself but it would fit in quite nicely with my headcanon of Viscountess Hawke and acting Knight Commander Cullen pairing

They let you romance Bann Teagan (briefly), but Cullen in DA2 is a no-go.

I'm fortunate in as much most things go right over my head, unless it's really in your face, blatant, chances are I won't even notice. I'll come on here after release, somebody will say "Did you notice blah blah?" and 99% of the time I would be saying "Uhmm nope" lol #clueless

I have noticed that each picture/clip we get there seems to be improvements, both in facial builds and animations/graphics. I hope you won't be disappointed though.

And ofc, Greg Ellis' voice will make everything fab anyways

Psht! Not sure what game you played but my Hawke was totally romancing Cullen in DA2.....it was just top, top secret...(so secret, it never gets acknowledged by either of them, atall, ever lol)

Possibly Greg will only voice Cullen, since now Cullen's a major character (nearly on the same level as companions). And Greg seems to have lots of other projects as well. That being said, if he can have lots of different voices it's still possible... I can't guess that Alarith the storekeeper from DA:O is actually Gideon Emery, but that templar in Lothering sounds really Fenris.

Agree. Greg is a busy dude these days, and if he only had time Cullen in DA2, I'd expect the same for DA:I. But one can always hope! 

 

He's voicing one of the imperial officers in Star Wars Rebels, and my poor son...  "Do you know who that voice is, dude??" mom asks again. *son sighs* "Yes, Mommy. Cullen."
