Love this bit! Curious to know what exactly he's nailing there. And what is on the back of his belt?
I was looking at that, too. It looks like a handkerchief.
I think it's just a knot in the golden rope thingie holding him together.

Hmm combined with this reference, I think the rope is for holding his scabbard? It's really hard to tell, I'm pretty sure Cullen's outfit is held together by magic ![]()
I figured it was a knot, it just looks like a starkly different color than the actual rope in that shot. I rhymed omfg

So, it's just that one knot. Holding everything on.

Glad you got it sorted! I had to order the regular edition since the deluxe is sold out.
However - I'm excited because I got a PS4 just yesterday! So yeah for that! Now to hook it up and get used to the new controller. The boy thinks I should try out Destiny to get used to the controller. Nope. Bought Shadow of Mordor for that! 2 weeks to go before my Inquisitor meets Cullen... just realized that I don't have a name for her. Hmmmmm. Better get on that!
Thanks I was panicking for a while there lol. Aww that sucks
I THINK I ordered the digital delux (I hope).
The last time I played a console was ps2 and Tomb Raider II, lol I think I may need some practice too though I do love the ps controller, easier to hold than the xbox controller.
Lol only 2 weeks to go, I keep stroking my screen, Cullen background ' Soon my pretty, soon' I think my son thinks I am going crazy.
EDIT: actually Cullen's 2H warrior or SnB? The way he put that sword is like 2H at the back, but at some trailer we saw him pulling his sword from a sheath attached to his belt. Or does he change between magnetic shoulder blade to sheath once in a while?
He can use both. In DAO he uses a greatsword, and in DA2 is sword and board. Which means my quizzy can spar with him whichever warrior skill she choses ![]()
Hi all! Another bit if fluff for you guys from what I am working on! It is rough, so may be a little rushed, but I have been thinking about this scene for a while and wanted to share before I overwork it. Hope you like!
Spoiler
This is exceptional. No other word could describe it. Thanks for sharing.
Cullen nailed it...Literally.
Also the more I look at that red fabic, the more I think that he's just using his old templar tunic.Pretty badass!
You know, the more I look at him and the new templar outfits, I think you may be right. It's either a converted templar skirt, or just a tunic created by the same templar folks.

...which begs the question yet again... what's a non-templar doing wearing templar regalia??
And, will folks be calling him knight-commander or just commander? One shot shows a letter to the Commander, from a knight-captain.

That's the first thing I wondered. "Is that a little white bow on his butt?"
So, it's just that one knot. Holding everything on.

Heckuva lot simpler than that long red sash.

I think Templars will still consider him to be one of theirs. I feel like he more got "promoted" to this position than really left the Order behind, because it seems like in the beginning, most Templars are at the summit for peace, so it's not like he's really going against the Order in the beginning.
And the Knight Captain is probably one of the agents/leaders of the Templar faction if you side with them.
ugh I'm going to be spending SO much time in game moving my Inquisitor into awkward positions creepily close to Cullen just so I can inspect him to try and figure out how his outfit works.
And maybe also for other reasons...

THIS I approve!

This is what I'm also thinking, that maybe he's not part of *those* templars, but still a templar in some sense, because he brought his own templar soldiers with him to work for the Inquisition. Trademark battle ensues. ![]()

I do too.
I'm trying to work it out that all my romantic interludes will happen while Adam's at work because he'd never let me hear the end of it if he saw me pulling Cullen's whole outfit off with one tug.

It's very possible, since I imagine that some templars does not really wish to join the mage-templar war. There must be some that feels that joining the inquisition is the better option.

I agree. I never really got the idea that Cullen doesn't consider himself a templar, at least not completely. I think he has a lot of faith in the templars, probably sees his standing in the Inquisition as a good opportunity to fix things.

Everyone forgets that the Knight Vigilant and the Knights Divine (The Divines personal bodyguard) are Templar that did not side with Lambert....

I don't believe that he doesn't consider himself a Templar either...He probably doesn't consider himself part of the Templar order, such as it is now.

In any case he still have lots of hope & pride with Templars. At one of the Gameplay (the Dalish elf lady meeting the advisor for the first time) he still proudly says that he knows what the templar can do (in a proud way).
