All my inquisitors are somewhere between 32-37 years old. I'm done with playing 20 something year olds and teenagers ![]()
I'll just have to headcanon the origins to make it work.

Mine is probably gonna be a whippersnapper again >_>
Cass is gonna be a cradle robber.
Fair enough
Did anybody see this?
I think this needs to be a Cullen glitch ![]()

Lol mine are all 21 + some years of experience ![]()
Sadly, given that the templars in question clearly include the crazy@ss red templar version, that seems a little more clear cut than I would've expected. I'm really curious about how separate or together the red templars are compared with the 'regular' versions. If they're one in the same, that seems to make them pretty black hat wearing, IMO.
That might have just been a bad choice of picture for the graphic? It would be very disheartening if the only choices in the game were to either side with Red Templars or with Libertarians. Way to color the conflict even more biased than it already is.
I rather love the idea proposed by Elu earlier in the thread:
Oh man, it's just right there in the released footage! LOL! I thought it would be some special blooper they released. Heh heh. Guess there are still some around. Like the creepy dude hanging out in the tree. LOL

Patrick Weekes said something on tumblr recently about how you can pick whatever age you want for your character, and I got the impression that it wouldn't change much because you're just headcanoning it. So I'd be really surprised if you somehow picked an age that the game knows about. I mean, how it would it know that you think your character is 20 or 40, unless you specify a number somewhere? Plus, given that the devs always seem kinda cagey about giving exact ages on their characters, I doubt the exact numbers would ever become an issue. Anyhoo, that's my two cents.
I wish it was possible to pick our Inquisitor's age when we create them in the beginning of the game. It would have been awesome!!! ![]()

SpoilerThis would be far more balanced in showing that difference in enemies and the consequences of not choosing one side that the Xbox interview referred to.
Agree. I'd prefer the decision had more, I dunno, political consequences like that.
TBH, I see now why DG commented on tumblr that this video is rather spoilery. I wouldn't be surprised if that red templar dude is a bit of a story spoiler.
I think my first play-through will be as the latter, a rogue already within the templar ranks. It is as shame there is only a templar specialization for a warrior so now I have a new question: what specialization would suit a rogue trained templar best? Artificer, assassin or tempest?
I think Tempest is an interesting specialization to take with a rogue Templar, because the Tempest powers sound like weird science/lol magic??/crazy alchemy. You could roleplay that the abilities you gain from the specialization are powered by lyrium, in the same way the Templar ones would be for your warrior.
Assassin would work too, though! In Heroes of Dragon Age we have models for Templar Assassins, and it makes sense that the Order, being a military organization, would have sneaky rogues of their own to handle "diplomatic" problems with a well-timed assassination here and there. ![]()

Annnnnd *groan* surprise, surprise, I didn't notice the human tree decoration either ..... One massive bonus of me suffering from such a lack of awareness, this game is going to be so perfect in my eyes lol.
It's from here after 1:40.
And here's the link from tumblr if you want to reblog it.

Also... on this gif. Ahem. I saw some pretty freaking hilarious comments on tumblr... like he's having a moment to, erm, let's say compose himself, because the Inquisitor's around. LOL!
Perfect! ![]()
Oh Cullen, why are you so beautiful?
Seriously, he just keeps getting better and better looking in every video.
Also on shallow gaming decisions, I'm mulling over throwing out my well thought through and pre-planned first game character in favour of a female elf just to maximise my options for skanking my way through Inquisition.......... I have NO MORALS. ![]()
Meh I'm now concerned in this games plotline. Another aspect to my list of things I won't probaply like in DAI. First story related one though.
None of my previous Wardens and Hawkes have been pro-mages or pro-templars. I'm neutral myself and I have to chose from both idiotic group; fanatic red templars or pro-mage-freedom mages I don't want to make that choice since they both are wrong and will only bring misery to world. To me siding with mages and templars alike would be restoring Circle system, not siding with them to antihilate other group or any other ridiculous goal.
Artificer is heavily trap based but seems like a lot of fun! It seems to fit those that like stealth and preparatory traps. I have the entire tree in screenshots. I can post it when I get out of class.Ah, I so see your point of view! That opens things up for me a bit. It was this part here that threw me "you were always expected to follow a similar path in service of the Maker" but yes, I can see now that it has been expected of you but you have chosen not to do it and spent a numerous amount of years avoiding it to finally be sent off to the conclave (if you were unwilling that is). And there is always it was expected of you and you wanted that life so have been a templar for so-and-so amount of years. Yay, your perspective has been awesome, thanks! I think my first play-through will be as the latter, a rogue already within the templar ranks. There is no way I will be siding with either sides. That is some freaking bullshit. I refuse to chose from two bads if there is no chance of compromise I don't want anything to do with mages nor templars. I'm Pro-Circle which includes templars in the system and it's not either pro-mage or pro-templar, extremes are stupid.
Are they just kidding me right now
Well, Hawke was still forced to choose. The Inquisitor might be as well.Meh I'm now concerned in this games plotline. Another aspect to my list of things I won't probaply like in DAI. First story related one though.

Side note, if anyone has any skill tree questions, lay em on me! I have helped compile an album of all revealed spells and talents for skill trees so I'm very versed in what our options are.
Alright, how many AOE abilities does the K.E have? I assume is the same amount as the Rift Mage except for Fire Storm?
Well, Hawke was still forced to choose. The Inquisitor might be as well.
Though We don't know The context of The choice. Maybe it'll make sense for every character to pick a side. Maybe we'll just form an alliance and don't destroy The other.
I didn't need to be pro-mage or pro-templar though and DA2 ending was one thing people gave lot of angry feedback for BW. Since it sucked. And now they are doing it all over but for whole game? Doesn't seem good for me.
(Unrelated: we got pools on TS4 today!!!!!
)
(Semi-related: Sim!Cullen and Sim!Trevelyan's Skyhold manor is finally getting a proper pool!!!!!
I've been dying to give Sim!Cullen a decent place to swim and build his delicious swimmer shoulders at. Now all he needs is a long Templar skirt to protect his delicate ginger complexion from the sun while sipping piña coladas by the pool with his naturally tan Inquisiwaifu.
)
Area of Effect? The only one I am aware of is Resurgence. They have 4 active spells, Fade Cloak, Resurgence, Spirit Blade, and the final I think is possibly Haste. If it indeed Haste, that too would be AOE.Alright, how many AOE abilities does the K.E have? I assume is the same amount as the Rift Mage except for Fire Storm?
Sigh I'm just worried they will reduce the whole conflict in situation where you have to do white-black.. or black-black in this case, choice like there was in DA2. None of my characters want that, I have even Pro-Chantry one planned but even he doesn't want to side with red templars. I'm worried how BW is going to handle whole conflict since so far they only speak of chosing one side which is exactly what I don't want to do.

Well I mostly meant when it came to elemental damage AOE
But it seems all mages have those trees.
But thanks for the info ![]()

I understand your concerns. I'd have preferred a third choice as well. I just hope that the even if with only two choices it's handled better.Sigh I'm just worried they will reduce the whole conflict in situation where you have to do white-black.. or black-black in this case, choice like there was in DA2. Yeah, I'm thinking this will be the last BioWare game I play. They're just not moving in a direction I like at all.
