The guy starts talking at about 2:00
The first part (that younger guy) I understand quite well, he has an accent that I'm not used to btw. And that grandfather, he spoke like the grandfather of one of my friends from Finisterre (French Bretagne region). Minus the English words ![]()

Western TN, now living in the southwest.
Hey, whereabouts in the southwest? I'm from Arizona originally. Hence my inability to adjust to evil day light savings this week. Ugh.

Bodahn is the only exception I can think of as far as dwarves go.

Finally we get 2 choices of accent for the Inquisitor!
For the male inquisitor I prefer the one with Jon Curry, since his voice appears to be heavier than the English VA. But it remains to be seen since I base my judgement on a few lines of each.
For the female inquisitor, whichever that is not actually the one used in that Gameplay with the Dalish elf warrior.

We only read the extract with the incest. Most of us were too traumatised to really discuss it properly and I didn't come back to it when it came to revising for my exam. I just learned a lot of John DonneThat's just mean
I just assigned the poem and after they read it we discussed it. It was definitely one of the most lively discussions I'd ever had in class (as a teacher). I'll be teaching it for the second time this coming semester and can't wait
Personally I see the poem as more religious eroticism (like the ecstasy of a religious experience being almost sexual).
Dwarves are, Qunari are, (not too sure about Bull though), most City Elves are and now so can the human and Dalish Inquisitor.Varric and Sten had American accents

Yeah, but I've always suspected that Bodahn's accent is affected.
He told us in Origins that he ran a shop that used to cater to fancy clientele in Orzammar and people who run shops like that in the real world, tend to try to make themselves sound posher than they really are, so my theory is that he used to have a normal accent, but he's been faking that pseudo-English one for so long it's become habit.

For the voices I am gonna have to do the american because every time I hear the British one all I hear is Samantha Traynor and I know its the same VA but I just don't wanna run around the entire time thinking somehow Samantha go sucked into a portal and ended up in DA

I was impressed with the elves in DAO. All the voice actors seemed to adopt this strange...cadence to they way they talked (does anyone remember that?). It changed completely in DA2 to an accent. But I really liked that in DAO. It almost sounded like they were all speaking English as a second language, which I think was the point. Am I crazy?

All elves were American in DAO except Erlina, iirc, who was Orlesian so she was French. In DA2 the Dalish got Irish accents and Merrill in particular got a Welsh accent. And now Solas has one too it seems. Maybe city elves like Sera will have English accents in DAI, or maybe Sera will just be the odd one out.I was impressed with the elves in DAO. So I think you might be a tad bonkers myself.

so I could bang on about metaphysical poetry and a bit of the Wife Of Bath so I could show off. I preferred reading plays and prose where the writers could ration out the perviness better.

Oh gosh, I adore John Donne! If I could do a degree on John Donne and T.S Eliot's poetry, I would drop everything in a heartbeat.
Maybe a minor in Pablo Neruda or something. Or Mass Effect. I could minor in Mass Effect. >.> Or Dragon Age. Uh.

HAHAHAH!
No, i mean...their American accents sounded like the way Inuit people speak english...like a tribal accent. I heard it very strongly, but maybe I was making that up in my mind.

He is so sweet. Want him in my bed.
Oh and I also learned a few quotes from one of Shakespeare's sonnets. Mainly so I could talk about the sonnet structure. But I only learned the one because I couldn't remember all the numbers in the title. And of course the one I did learn came up in the exam as the given text.

It makes me wonder, how would most people prefer Cullen to woo a female Inquisitor?
Recite poetry and sonnets, a medieval courtship, a bizarre copper marigold relief, or just a straight to the point "We'll bang, okay?"
