That steak looks a tad overcooked ...
That's right, if it's coming to me, it better still be kicking.
I like the cut of your jib, ser!

Team YOLO! I've threatened to start driving a motor scooter when I'm in my 70s.
A few years ago, when I was doing rock climbing I met a granny (doing hiking beside the wall) who told me that she was the one who put the safety ring into the rock a few years back. She then proceeded to show me how to climb the first (and most difficult) part. She looked like 65++ so... ![]()
A quick true story regarding the whole age thing.
I teach undergrads, age range from 20-25ish. Trying to motivate and inspire them is rough. In class today, I asked them what adventures they had on Halloween. My question was met with dead silence and shrugs. A few said they studied. On HALLOWEEN! I was flabbergasted! What about...
I teach science, so I gotta reel in the drama. But damn, it's hard sometimes. They need to take a breath from studying and...seize the friggen day!!!
I am kinda a bad influence, I think. But I never worked that hard in my 20's. And I got a million stories to show for it! And i wouldn't trade it for any amount of success.
Ok...no more preaching...
Good grief O___O
The students on my campus almost burned the place to ground they were partying so hard on Halloween lol

LOL Oh! Somehow I missed these.
Um, ask and ye shall receive. Sex and Chocolate by Varric Tethras. (kinda NSFW)
Hey, that look on his face in the last picture could be an illustration for part of your story. Right?

When my Chinese class went to the Great Wall of China back in high school, there was this little old granny who lapped us several times going up and down the wall while we were breathing hard and sweating like crazy. She was going up and down that steep as hell wall like it was nothing!

That sounds like fun, but I don't think my arthritis will ever let me rock climb again. I'd like to get to the point of being able to hike again, though.
Um is there something about teachers/academics and Dragon Age? Like a zillion of us are in that profession....
I was just looking at my Origins queue and moused over Dragon Age Inquisition and it says it will be available to play at 9pm Nov 17th.
THAT'S SO SOOOOOON! ![]()

I think we crave escape!
...so, Cullen should be able to swim right? On account of living in a tower in the middle of a lake for quite some time. And then a city right by the ocean. So... what do you guys think are the chances of us getting a Darcy-esque scene with Cullen coming out of the water after a swim...?
It'd be funny if during his swimming in the Lake, Cullen witnessed Anders making that escape attempt he mentioned in Awakening, where he ducked the Templars during outside exercise, jumped off the docks and swam to freedom...
Methinks that when questioned why he didn't do anything to stop him, Cullen was forced to sheepishly admit that he was too distracted by the fact that Anders sounded exactly like him?! ![]()

Maybe it's b/c we get so much time off.... lots of time to play games ![]()

Lol, I'm a big Literature kind of guy, with a focus on Shakespeare as well as Sword and Sorcery, so Dragon Age is right up my alley!

You're igniting the Cullen x Anders shipper in me but I'll refrain from commenting what I like to think Cullen thought while watching Anders swim through the lake ![]()

Yeah, that's it. We're bloody dreamers, we are!

Ha! Sure...I am rolling in free time (I say as I look at the stack of papers on my desk)...
Hey, that look on his face in the last picture could be an illustration for part of your story. Right?
LOL It does indeed. It makes me wonder Varric's portrayal of Cullen was closer to the mark than we realize. Heh heh. I started writing the next installment... and I'm a little torn between my old Cullen and new Cullen.
Yeah, that's it. We're bloody dreamers, we are!
Can I get an Amen!
Total INFP with his head in the clouds. ![]()

A few of the templars are on furlough and are relaxing in the lake. All of a sudden, there's a lot of angry yelling and crashing noises coming from the tower. Cullen turns just in time to see Anders booking it as fast as he can out the door, and just as Cullen and the other templars are about to leap to action to help detain him, Anders rips off his robe and dives into the lake in his birthday suit. Everyone is too appalled and flabbergasted to react right away, and in the meantime, Anders is gone. ![]()

You know, he can have moments of both, where the shyer, more reserved guy peeps back out. Just before that knowing smirk reappears... ![]()

That's too bad, hope that it can get better ![]()
It's not only age factor, I'm in my 20s and now I can't climb anymore after breaking my ankle in a climbing accident ![]()
Anyway it's one of the surest way to shorten your lifespan, climbing ![]()

Yeeaaaah, right. And Professor is the least stressful job in the U.S. I've got a few more I can sell you... ![]()

Huge Literature geek right here. I do a lot of dnd/tabletop and read a lot of fantasy when I'm not slaving away at uni, so Dragon Age was really easy to fall in love with.

Won't he sink with all his heavy plates templar armour? It must weight a ton!
