OMG! I just realised something. Please tell me it's not true, people!

Cullen is an advisor, BUT NOT A COMPANION? Or is he both? Can we bring him along in missions or not?

This is very important. If anyone knows the answer to this for sure, please help me here.

7th continent? Damn, R2 is a world traveler!

:o You've been to ANTARCTICA?! No freaking way, thats amazing!

One of the single coolest friggin things I've done (no actual pun intended, even if South Pole was the coldest place I've ever been).

So, give yourself time. Too many cool ass things left do in this world.

Advisor, not companion. However, he has been seen in the field, so he may accompany you as an NPC.

I gotta ask though: why go to the South Pole? What prompted such a "cool"  experience?

10. Advisors like Cullen will not join the Inquisitor's party like followers, but will provide lots of opportunities for interaction.

11. Advisor romances like Cullen's will have equal content to regular party members.

THANK THE MAKER

LOL It's not really much of a story. Not like I was part of some overland explorer group discovering Dome C or drilling into Lake Vostok. I was working with some of the folks that ran the U.S. Antarctic Program at the time, looking at the feasibility of some of our scientists working down there. I got to visit the original South Pole base before they tore it down, tho. I got to go to snow school and build an igloo. Hee hee. For a desert-bred girl, that was pretty neat.

This comes from a 50 y/o woman: Although some days I physically feel my age, mentally I usually feel 20 something. Especially when watching Cullen eye candy! That will never go away.

*tears up* dude, I TOTALLY needed to hear this. I feel like a total rut in the road turning 23 in a few days and still trying to get through school. I live in an area where if you aren't settled down and pregnant at 20, or at least carry a bachelor's degree at 22, people consider you a failure...and while I know, realistically, its not like this everywhere, surroundings can sometimes consume a person's reality, so its nice to hear someone actually say that my life isn't behind me and the best hasn't even happened yet. Thats a really hopeful feeling, so thank you. like, Seriously.

Anyway...enough of my TMI...how 'bout that Cullen, ey? :P

*hugs* you made me tear up there, 23 was simultaneously the best and worst year of my life. I feel you! For what it's worth, I'm 29 now, and I still haven't finished my bachelor's degree, but I am happy with my life now and much more motivated to achieve my goals than I ever was before. Just try to keep your health! It's much easier to keep your mind happy and healthy when your body is healthy too, brain chemicals are no joke! :)

Tash: I’m always going to ask a question about romances. One of things I love most about Bioware games are the romances. And in Dragon Age, the party members knew about the relationship you had. It existed outside of the cutscenes. That type of thing made the romances feel a lot more authentic. Is this something you’ll be continuing to do in Inquisition?

Mike: Yeah… because it’s works! There’s nothing more satisfying to me, as a player, than an unexpected callout of something you’ve been doing. Probably my favorite example is… you won’t find it for all of them, but for many of the romances, you’ll actually have certain combinations of followers who will start teasing you, in banter, while you’re exploring. So you’re in the middle of the desert, and they’re like… “So, heyyyyy” about it, and you’re like “Ohhhh…” And it’s funny because you actually feel that natural human blush response.

“Ohhhh, they busted me.” And it feels great, and that kind of stuff to me is really endearing. It creates moments. There’s often some sort of serendipity, like just as you walk by the waterfall, they bring up… “So how’s all the sex?” And you’re like, “Ohhhhh, oh what are you doing?” It’s funny, and in a way, we form those narratives. That was not a trigger. It just happened to happen then. There can be some really funny moments that just happen because of that. I also think it’s really good when you’re like, “Hey man, what’s up?” And you’re flirting with a guy, and he’s like “No! You’re with… no!” And suddenly these characters have morals, and their own will. It’s pretty powerful. So, yes.

Source.

Education is hard.. I'm studying social science for third year in the university but I don't still know what I want to study or what I want to be XD One of my problems is that everyone in study field is in different part of life than I am, they are all settled down, have kids and are married, have job outside of university and are 30-40 years olds. And I'm like this immature kid just studying to get pass exams ^^; Oh well I think I will at least go through bachelor and maybe then figure out what to do ^^

Sometimes feels like beating your head against a wall, when you're studying any sort of social science.  I have a couple of history degrees, and if I'd received only a dollar for every person who asked me what I was going to do with them, I would've had no issues paying my tuition.  Seriously.  What's funny is, that once I was working in the "real world" -- you know, not in school anymore -- no one ever really cared.  I'd be asking for a job and my interview would go like this:

Them: "So you have a degree?"

Me:  "Yes."

Them: "What level is the highest degree that you've received?"
Me: "A Master's."

Honestly, that was just about it.  Oh, and maybe a request for transcripts, to "verify completion".  I did receive some additional rank when I enlisted, which only earned me more push-ups during Basic Training, sigh.  Probably should've waited until after my service to finish my Bachelor's, hehe.  But I ultimately decided I was only glad I studied something I truly enjoyed.  My education has always served me well, regardless of what I majored in, anyway.

Only enjoy the experience while it's yours, is what I say.  Hugs, to anyone still trudging their way through classes!

It is hard. I was going for my English degree, and I love studying it. I took a year off so I could raise money because the college I was going to wasn't expensive - but then I got laid off from my job, and out of work for a year. I have another job, but I need another since I'm just in contract labor which is NOT good for taxes. I've built up some savings, but it's nothing compared to what I had with the other job. The economy hit me and my mom so hard, we're lucky we still have the house. We are very slowly building things up again, but there are bumps in the road. I really want to go back to school, but I am still unsure with what I want to do with my life. I'm leaning towards video game design, but I don't know what area; and if not that...then what else? I certainly don't want to be a clerk for the rest of my life. Ugh. Mom always said I'd make a good teacher, but I don't think I have the patience. XD

And all through high school they drill into your head that you need to get out into the world NOW NOW NOW GODDAMNIT and figure out what you want to do NOW NOW NOW. I think I'm still feeling like I'm failing even though I know I'm not. I don't know. It gets so overwhelming at times.

At least I feel less shitty for not knowing what I want to do for the rest of my life right here, right now at 19. Considering everyone begins asking you that starting at kindergarten, it gets incredibly old.  -_-

How is it that when we couldn't have Cullen he was a bit of a hottie (by bioware standards) and now that we can finally take that lost puppy home, he is kind of old and battle worn?

I feel a little cheated not gonna lie.

Um is there something about teachers/academics and Dragon Age? Like a zillion of us are in that profession....

Nope! I work in health care.. something similair like a social worker but then more fancy (not sure if there is a word equivalent to my job description). I help and guide people with dementia through their daily lives on a special type of 'farm' where they also live(with chickens, sheep, goats, ponies, birds, rabbits etc.). It is about helping them, reaching them sometimes through the means of stroking the soft fur of a rabbit that relaxes on their lap.

Damn I had to read several pages back through poetry and whatnot.. I love you guys

I think the general consensus is that he's best looking in DAI. Personally I still prefer his rougher DA2 look but I feel like I'm in minority there :)

When I left school I still had no idea of what I wanted to do, so I took 2 years off (after which still didn't know what I wanted to do) and got a job & enjoyed earning money. I didn't want to study further when I was younger. After working with children as an aide for a year I decided to get my teaching degree by distance education but only part time (cause I know I won't do it if I overload myself as I still need to work full time) & defer for this year. I'm 34 now and finding I'm about the average age studying the degree (if not sometimes younger). I'm not sure what it's like in other parts of the world, but here it's becoming very common and widely accepted to go back to university or go for the first time as a "mature age student" and later in life.

Btw at my age, I still feel 16 or so at times especially when at school part of my duties require me to join in and play games. I usually ref the weekly soccer game for stage 2... I love being a big kid :D
