I'm not very happy with a lot of the... anatomy I've seen lately. Looking at you, femdwarf boobs. Which is a shame, I really wanted to play as a male elf or female dwarf, but the models are just so... off-putting?

I don't have problem with body types, I like that elves are skinner side when dwarves and qunaris are more stocky build. I think dwarf models have been improved from DAO. Well just my view ^^;
I think most of the characters look too skinny. OK, their world is falling apart, but are they all starving to death on top of everything else??
Thanks, guys. I am so curious about this game, and I kinda have spoiled myself on some things. But I'm trying not to spoil myself too much... especially when there is so little left until we can finally play the game.

Really? I find human pretty normal and dwarf and qunari stocky.. only elf is skinny to me.

Honestly, I think it was the fact that they had extra time to make him a romance, but they didn't have time or budget to do the animation for dwarves and qunari. They probably would have made him human-only if not for him showing interest in the DA:O female elf mage as well as the female human mage.
Yep, exactly this. It will likely be the same deal with Solas. But y'all don't want me going down that path again xD
Was it someone in this thread that was worried about the male elves being too skinny? Here's a vid, only watched the first...20 seconds of it, but it shows a male elf inquisitor, and I don't think he looks as skinny as all that...watch with fair warning, I only watched the beginning, so I don't know if it has spoilers.

I want elves to look slighter. I enjoy playing characters that defy expectations, who're strong when everyone expects them to be easily broken. They're the ones who catch you off-guard, and I like that essence of surprise and shock on an enemy's face, there's a certain satisfaction that comes from showing them that being bigger is no guarantee of power or victory over an opponent.
And I completely and one hundred percent agree, that recent dwarf models are far improved.
I have no problem with the female dwarf's build, but in the Skyhold outfit her breasts look VERY triangular and um... pointy? Major turn off. 
The male elf is pretty skinny in armor, can't even imagine what the Skyhold outfit will look like on him. .-.
Hm, on a positive note, lots of the shorter hairstyles look really good on the female Inquisitor, which is surprising.
The character creation & abilities are not spoilery at all. The one with mother Giselle is quite a spoiler
Too bad we can't get Cassandra's hair. I really want that one for my lady inquisitor.

Ok now this may have been mentioned in the past... 3000 pages of this forum, but I've gotta ask...
Whats with the gating on Cullen?! Human and elves only? So I get that hes a chantry boy who is probably into chantry girls and probably not into dwarves and qunari as a whole for their non-Andrastan beliefs. HOWEVER, the qunari you play are not part of the Qun, and dwarves are surfacers and likely not into 'paragon' system. And besides, the elves you play in DAI are exclusively Dalish, not 'city' elves like in DAO (city and mage origin alike).
So my question is, wouldn't it make more sense to have him gated for human female only? Does this slightly confuse anyone else? Has anyone heard anything on this front?
There is dialogue in Origins if you bring Oghren during the Circle quest and dwarves are referred to as heathens. As for Qunari....most humans likely do not have the best impression of them no matter where the come from. As for elves...he flirted with both female elves as well as female humans in Origins...it probably does not matter to him.
To me, the female body types overall reproduce the unrealistic, impossible (and destructive) images projected at women irl. Reinforces negative body images. And the female dwarves no longer look like dwarves, they have the build of a hobbit instead. Sad. And while I don't mind the elves (male and female) being slight, that male elf is a bit extreme.

Well the qunari, dwarf and elf are quite unrealistic for human but they aren't humans. The human female is pretty skinny as well but not in unhealthy or destructive level? Personally I'd like her being more muscular though especially warriors ^^
