I don't think she was necessarily aiming that at those people that struggle with gaining weight or those who have that difficulty. I feel like she was speaking about the archetypal "skinny b word", not skinny people in general.

I am super overwhelmed by all this information all at once. I can't believe it's finally here. Only two years talking about it, and more for some of us. Every new video I watch and I start getting shaky and a big grin on my face and then my co-workers want to know what the hell is wrong with me.

A little bit off topic here,so the DA:I is coming very soon and I was very curious about your future inquisitors.It would be really nice if you decribe their possible appearence,character and traits.As for me,in my first playthrough I will definitely play as a human female mage and I will try to make her diplomatic and kind and considering the mage/templar conflict,I think I am gonna side with mages.
Well my character is going to look like my avatar but with some slight changes, the hair length definitely being one of them, of course. Laurel is a human rogue aged to be in her late 20's. She has been part of the templar order since her late teens and had aspirations of landing a commanding position in the future because she could see that changes needed to be made. She is pro-circle, she believes it can work if it is reformed. She will most likely side with the templars because although she wants to see mages with more freedoms she doesn't want to see them run completely unchecked. She realizes that drastic changes needs to be made on both sides and with the way that the game starts she will probably feel very restricted and trapped in the Inquisition when it comes to her position in it. She will be more diplomatic with a sense of humour every now and then and will most likely mother Cole until he is running scared.
Memories of his past come flooding back for a few minutes when being intimate with Hawke, and having them return then disappear as suddenly is too much for him, so much so he doesn't want to risk feeling that again, so he leaves. he doesn't physically leave the party you can still pick him though. He does regret it and alls well with them both in act 3 if you choose it to be.
On some party banters Anders bickered on him leaving Hawke, Fenris will response with that being the hardest thing he ever did in his life.

Yeah that banter is pretty weird seeing as I usually get it in act 3 when they are back together lol.
He does say he doesn't allow anyone to get too close, his markings are too painful. It's probably a trigger when they hurt so much a residual memory effect thing happens.

Apparently his markings pain him when touched, that's why he doesn't like people touching him. One of the two alternatives of his romance scene is that his marking glows when Hawke reached to grab his arm when he wanted to leave. That one really makes a sense of the whole story of him leaving Hawke afterward

When that scene happens, to me, it's less about the actual, individual memories and more like an absolute emotional overload and he doesn't know how to or can't cope with it. He thinks it easier to run away than to try and understand or accept what he is feeling. My Hawkes are all patient if nothing else and wait for him to gather himself......totally worth it!!
My Hawkes may also make him slightly insecure when they visit the Gallows and he has to stand awkwardly and watch Hawke drool over Cullen

He has flashes of his old memories for second during his sexy time with Hawke and that was very hard on him to loose that, he doesn't leave just needed some time to think over things.So you're a Fenris fan then......if you are, I'd like to ask you something, since I never romanced Fenris. I was told already about it, but I want to dig in a little further. What's with him leaving Hawke? I never thought Fenris would such a thing, being the one adored by everyone, unlike Anders. I was about to do a PT and romance him, out of curiosity if nothing else, and when I heard he leaves Hawke, I changed my mind.

Ooooh yeaa I remember that Isabela part! A friend *did* Isabela after left by Fenris, then she'll make the BEST comment. Apparently the best combination is that
1. You do with Anders first, then tell him it's only one night fling
2. Do with Fenris and he'll leave you
3. Then, do with Isabela
That will give the best party banter ever. I love DA2, being the only one in DA series that you can actually *do it* with all 4 LIs (not including Seb).

I didn't play other games from Bioware except the DA series. But sometimes being whiny and showing signs on not being courageous does not convey with the deepest part of the character. Remember Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter? That whiny and scared & bullied & not courageous little boy on the first book turns out to be one of the best and the bravest at the end. (He's my favourite character actually, even more than Harry & Ron)

Fenris is the victim of rape, torture, and slavery. Falling in love with Hawke and experiencing intimacy with him/her was too much for him to deal with; it overwhelmed him emotionally, physically, you name it. He was confused, and that's why he left.
He does return though, and when he does, he's in a better place and on the path to healing
He'll leave you at Act 2, but will definitely returning to you if you allow him (he'll be the one asking back in any case). You can choose to forgive him or to break the relationship. In any case after a *special moment* he'll leave Hawke in any case because (IMO) he knows that he's basically a mess and not ready to deal with it yet.
If you forgive him later on and ask him on the reason he left, he'll give you one of the best line of his romance.
... and you'll get that good bye kiss at the end
He started getting some flashbacks of bad memories and wasn't emotionally ready for relationship so he left Hawke for while. Later on the romance continues. I didn't know this first time I romanced him so I started to flirt with Anders and thus couldn't romance him anymore. Anders bullies Fenris for leaving Hawke and Fenris tells him it was hardest thing he has ever done and also warns him not to hurt Hawke.
So the actual leaving part is just sad and comes from Fenris being very damaged person. He will return after a while (while for player, poor Hawke had to wait 3 years!).

He gives a bunch of BS when he does it, which I totally don't believe. Then he says later that its because he was a coward. But really...I think he's just too scared to "throw away" his independence, or possibly, in his view, his "freedom." Its only later, after the fact, that he realizes that having Hawke in his life is more important, but it takes becoming a "free" man in his mind to come out and admit it, and accept his tie to her. ...or something like that. He's awkward at speaking his mind. Except when he's not

He seems indeed a damaged and conflicted character, which is very much the type of characters I usually like. That's why I chose Anders in the first place....among few other things But I was also looking for something else to like about him. Eventually, I decided to try his romance, just to see what he's like. When I was asked a dear friend of mine, she told me about him leaving Hawke, and gave me some details. But I was too focused on romacing Anders, and didn't ask more about Fenris. So, thank you for detailing that for me.
Now, if I think about it, I wish Fenris had stayed and talked about his fears with Hawke. It would have been interesting to see how she would help him through it. Not just run and hide... for three years! But I guess I'll just have to deal with that, if I ever decide to romance him, lol!
