So, which one of you has the correct info? Or it can be misinterpreted? :D

I believed that Fenris really get that painful sensation when touched. I know I've read this somewhere. It's just that Gaider told us not to overdo it (with fanfic/headcannon??). And I can't even find any source or Decree from God.

I say Anders is like Jesus, he sacrificed himself for the good of the mages!

He condemned a Circle. He's kind like those Earth Liberation Front guys.

I always figured with Fenris that what he feels is right on the edge of pain/discomfort so that he really has to be into it, so to speak, in order for the experience to go beyond what he feels as uncomfortable, it has to be really good.

Okay you guys we were told to stop the Anders vs Fenris conversation a while back. I didnt mean to open up Pandora's box here. Truth be told I romanced Anders the first play through and he was sweet but at the end feeling used was a deal breaker for me. I am sorry to anyone I may have offended.

I am making my first Girl a proud mage although, her name is going to be Eloise Trylvan. She is the type to be verily headstrong about her beliefs and will kick butt, when she needs too and can lie her way out of anything. She has white hair and is in her mid twenties.

My second is Granuaile Trylvan named after one of the most remarkable women in Irish history she has brown hair and blue eyes and will also fight for what she believes is right. She will be my rouge and side with the mages as she fights for her rights and theirs all in one go, as did the woman, who I named her after did by getting aressted twice for these same rights she fought for.

Let's not do Fenris versus Anders, or Anders was right/Anders was wrong in this thread, ok guys?  <3 Both have the potential to go very bad very fast, and neither belongs in the Cullen thread anyway. ;)

Sorry to you as well.

Who do y'all think Cullen will get along most with in the Inquisition besides (of course  ;)  <3) the Inquisitor? What about least?

Most: Cassandra, Blackwall, Dorian, Scout Harding

Least: ...Sera? Josie apparently they argue a lot but maybe it's just about work

Yup, you're right. It's about time we stop bickering about this topic. Sorry if I offended ^_^

EDIT: it's harder to talk about Cullen without discussing any possible spoilers. So finally it's all about any topics really. Since we've covered about Poetry, Mr Darcy, Tolkien, Colin Firth with wet shirt after swimming in a pond, accents, it's true that WE ARE ALL DESPERATE!

Ok, anyone wants to discuss about making a Limerick or Sonnet about Cullen?

Yay!  Characters!

My main Inquisitor will be Ciara, the one I write about occasionally.  She is a mage, Trevelyn by birth but disowned by her family for her magical talents (obviously).  She is primarily an ice mage (water and ice are her specialties).  She has long auburn hair, fair skin (but not super pale) and grey eyes (Cullen thinks of them as dagger grey ;).  She is reserved and stoic, a feeling much but saying little type of gal. But she has a super soft spot for children and elves, mostly because her childhood friend in the Circle was a Dalish elf (killed by a Templar).  She absolutely loathes injustice of any kind and tends to be very cautious, from a tactical standpoint. When she is angry, you know it.

Just thought I would share...still working on some super angsty Cullen and Ciara stuff.  Here is their theme song, and what I listen to over and over as I get myself into the headspace to write!  Sad and lonely sounding and I love it!

FYI, for my first play through, I will be a human rogue.  I always play a rogue first.  Ciara will be my main character for my second (and always best) playthrough.

I really really want Cullen to get along with Dorian. That chess video has ruined me, I need them to be super best friends who tease and mock and poke fun at each other a lot and help each other get the girl/get the guy on my alternate playthroughs, and it will totally never happen and I will be devastated. Devastated, I say. -_-

Other than that, I crave some Cullen and Blackwall friendship/cute friendly rivalry, and it's all Mello's fault for her lovely fanarts of them sparring together in a mock proving for the Inquisitor's hand. Cutest. Thing. Ever. They also have a lot more in common than it seems, so I do think they could make for good friends. Maybe they won't be super duper BFFs, but I'd be happy if Cullen got a nice moment with Blackwall like the one with Dorian.

The only lady Cullen doesn't seem to be at odds with, at least as far as we've seen, is Vivienne. And they share the common interest of seeing the Circles restored, so who knows, maybe they'll find common ground in that. Still can't get the nagging feeling off my mind that Vivi will at some point remark that Cullen smells like dog. She has to. I will be so sad if no one makes an obligatory "filthy Fereldan dog lord" jab at Cullen. Preferably Queen Vivi. :D

As for getting along the least with... originally when they were all announced I thought Cullen and Cass would be butt buddies, but lol so much for that? He also clearly doesn't roll with Josephine, which is hilarious to me because she's mah laaaady. Quizz will definitely invest in friending her Antivan sister, and if that annoys Cullen, I will laugh so, so hard. You will be civil to each other by the end of this game, my preciouses, even if I have to trap you both in the Inquisition's own get-along-robe until you play nice.

Sorry. I wasn't trying to put you an awkward position or anything. You just had different statements, and I wasn't sure which one was... well... I guess it remains up to each player to headcanon things as they like. ;)

Actually, I think that it might be... quite sad for Dorian if ever he might harbour some feeling for Cullen, which is entirely possible. Because we know that Cullen will not be interested in men.

I can picture Cullen/Blackwall being really good friends.

Weirdly, I can see Cullen/Varric being good buddies. Somehow. And I can picture Varric calling him with affectionate nicknames (Templar, Lion Boy, whatever).

I don't know about Cullen/Varric.

We know there is some angst between Varric and Cass over what happened in Kirkewall, so I'm guessing how Varric and Cullen get along will heavily depend on how Varric views Cullen's actions in Kirkewall after everything that went down there. I think if Cullen was interested in getting the whole city back on its feet, it'll be good, but otherwise, it won't be.

I think it's pretty difficult for someone to NOT like Varric honestly. Even when Aveline found him tiresome she still never hated him. Anyway, I'm hoping Cullen and Varric will share some good drinks and jokes  ^_^ and Varric will tease him about the Quizzy

Edit: Obviously Cass was an exception to this, but for the most part I think just about everyone gets along with Varric

Double Edit: And anyway I remember hearing that even Cass has grown to respect him more than in DA2. It's all apart of his dwarven charm

It might depend more on Hawke's choice, rather than anything Cullen did or didn't back then. Varric doesn't like siding with the mages one bit, but he does for Hawke's sake, whereas he openly approves of siding with the Templars. So maybe if your Hawke sided with the Templars, Cullen and Varric will be alright/neutral to each other because they were both on the same side of protecting Kirkwall when things went down, and they possibly worked together to restore the city after the events; and if your Hawke sided with the mages, they will be not so cosy/slightly more negatively neutral, since they were fighting on opposite sides back then and probably didn't make any effort to see much of each other's face afterwards.

Or maybe they'll just be completely neutral to each other and not care either way? Or maybe Cullen will have found out about that erotic novel shipping him with Aveline and tear Varric a new one the next time they meet? :P Who knows.

Hmm, so I need distraction from overworking tonight, and that Dalish warrior has suddenly acquired some life.   ;)

Derzka Lavellan. Dark brown extremely short hair, medium brown skin, grey eyes with a touch of purple (maybe, I'll have to see what I think of that in the CC); when not in armor, she likes to dress in cream-colored loose pants and shirts with high collars, embroidered with green vines and purple flowers, with a wide purple tooled leather belt and high purple boots (head cannon since we know we don't have any control over clothing in game).

Derzka takes her place as a Dalish protector very seriously and she will not hesitate to take command when she thinks it's needed. She's going to be very conflicted over the Herald of Andraste title, but she'll see the Inquisition as the best chance of helping her own people. While she is slow to trust strangers and a bit reserved, she is intensely loyal to anyone who wins her trust and has a hidden streak of humor. I suspect she'll get along best with Cassandra, Blackwall, Solas, Cullen, and possibly Josephine or Varric (Sera seems to be too much of an opposite for her). I headcannon her as about 35, and had a child with a lover, now about 13, who is being raised by her clan, but she has never bonded. When asked, she just laughs or shrugs and says she hasn't met someone she likes who isn't intimidated by her. I'm going to leave her romance open, whoever charms her best between Cullen, Blackwall, and Solas. ;)

I have thought before (as I mentioned in my first post regarding Fenris) about romancing him. And now that I have all the facts, I might wanna try his romance... if there was no super awesome  game (DAI, :D) coming out pretty soon. I can't do anything right now, let alone romance Fenris. I mean, all I have in mind all the time is Cullen.     :D

I KNOW!! I wanna romance anders, cause I finally played awakening, then watched a da2 anders GMV, and totally fell in love with his romance arc, and want to try it for myself, but I just cant get myself to sit down and do it, I just come back to this thread and talk about Cullen, and DAI in general, I'm consumed! !

I am jsut the opposite I am just finishing up DA2 and ALL its DLC AGAIN. So I can get everything right for my DAI import. I think we can all agree no matter how many times we played through the first two there is always that one warden/Hawke where we kick up are feet, take a deep breath and say to ourselves, "Okay I finally got it all perfect!" lol

Right guys, so I think I'm going to go on my media blackout a little earlier than I thought, mostly because I have a huge weakness for spoilers, and while generally I don't mind them and usually actively seek them out... I want to try and be as surprised as I possibly can for this game. I wasn't able to do this for Mass Effect because by the time I discovered it the first two games were out, and then the huge leak for ME3 happened. So this is the first Bioware game that I'll be able to do this for. I already succumbed and watched the AJ video on it, which was pretty spoilery, but it made me realize that it's probably best to leave before the last embargo gets lifted on the 11th because I won't be able to resist. Plus, I subscribed to early access, so I just need to hold out a little longer!

So before I go, I'd just like to invite everyone who hasn't already joined the Cullenite multiplayer group! It's spoiler free, and it's meant to help everyone find people to play with on their respective platforms! There's also a thread for people who would like to share Keep world states. So if you would like to join, just shoot me a PM and I'll send you an invite. And there's enough people already in the group that if I don't see your message, then someone else should be able to invite you in. If you need to reach me for something else for some reason, then I should still be getting email alerts about any PM's I get, or there's my tumblr, twitter or skype, which are all under the same name I use here.

Happy days everyone! I left the bsn after ME3, seemingly permanently, but I came back once I got into Dragon Age--and only because I heard so much about how friendly and inclusive this thread is! And they were right! Thanks for all the awesome discussions, speculation, jokes, art and writing! You're all lovely people. See you again in about a month!
