Gah, what am I doing wrong??

I just became officially broke today. As in, Prosperity = 0. Bags of royals = 0. LOL Yeah, lookin' pretty good for the Divine now. I have no idea how to make money! 

 

I've had an up and down day. Decided not to deposit anymore Dawn, I laughed yesterday but it literally could be endless and all I get is repeats of what I've already seen and done, doesn't seem all that worthwhile atm, if I turn up new cards or new dialogues I may deposit again to progress it.

I got into the Chantry, I've had all stats pretty high and traded them with clues for viands, trophies and such I think i have 8 total atm, there was a handy hint posted in another thread that the trophies/viands & secrets are used in mutliples of 3 for the Divine, so although we need 15 total, don't go 5,5,5 or they won't all count, best to go 6,6,3 as an e.g.

My market day still hasn't refreshed, at a guess I'm heading on for 30hrs now I've had that strange bug you spoke of earlier where my timer runs down but I don't seem to gain an action, it's only happened once that I noticed though. Hunts have been successful and I only went to 0 health once...bonus! lol.

All in all it's still fun although it's lost a lot of the appeal it had yesterday, I'm sticking with it though as I read that a certain person makes an appearance, I'd like to get to that point and find out more

 

If you could be Cullen for one day, at anytime in DA, what, if anything would you change and why?

It could be a reaction, statement, event, action, anything atall but only one thing.

Ugh its 8 days till launch and the closer it gets the more i decide i have no idea what to play first!   I was originally gonna go dalish mage with dalish warden keep, then i was leaning towards human mage and disaster city elf warden keep. After watching angry joes vid i wanna roll an archer, but now im all 'humie??? elf??? background???'

 

I dont know anymore Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!

 

Totally gonna romance the hell outa cullen first though, regardless of all the other decisions lol!

Well who do you have as your character? The Scholar is much easier for beginners, imo. I have been doing decent and I haven't bought any Dawn so either I have some pretty amazing luck or I am simply good at it. I want to help you...although I have peasants about to rebel..so..

Romance choice is a no brainer for me, since Cullen is the only romance option that interests me. Therefore, I'll always be playing as a female human or elf. Class is the only thing I'm still torn about. I love the idea of romancing Cullen as a mage but I love shiny heavy armor as well. I'll eventually play every class...but which one to start as......hmmm.

Problem is that I´m rolling as an elf for both of them and that his voice actor said that

Solas has a hidden agenda, which might be cool for a first playthrough

Eh I´m weak, will probably do back to back playthroughs or just go with Cullen

Play female elf and keep both options open. Who knows, maybe one or the other will surprise you and help you decide in game.

If you don't mind, could you explain this thing about the Divine and 3 to me a bit more? I got my first three trophies, but honestly, now I don't know what to do. If I get three more, do I then turn 'em in somewhere? Do I need equal amounts of trophies vs. viands vs. secrets?

Great question. I would have had him take his furlough and visit his parents the day before Uldred's rebellion.

Let see, make sure he did not act dumb in front of my mage Hawke, who had a staff with her and everything. Ahyem also change the whole Mages aren't like you and I makes him look dumb since you could have three mages in your party: Anders, Merill, and Hawke or Bethany if alive. Did the writer think that was making him look smart by telling the mages that just saved his butt that they aren't people?

As you approach end game (Divines visit) you need a combined 15 items between trophies, secrets and viands. As far as I can tell, these become a bargaining chip of sorts in making her visit a success. Gads I'm hopeless at explaining things, uhm... If you have e.g x6 trophies, x6 secrets and x3 viands, that will give you 5 high chance attempts at winning with the Divine. If you have x5 trophies, x5 secrets and x5 viands, you would only have 3 attempts. Your x15 needs to be made up of multiples of x3's of the same type to get the maximum attempts to "win". I hope that makes sense without sounding condescending I think 15 is the minimum, not aware of any maximum.

You don't turn them in anywhere, not yet anyway.

So far, Ive found the easiest ones to get are Viands & Trophies you get those from hunting. I've only been using Trophies when the hunters card comes up and I want a favour.

You can for example asap replace Solas in Your party, and save him for Your next game - probably I will do this way

Agreed. As with most of us by the looks of it, the closer the game gets the less sure what quizzie/romance to go with. Can't even decide whether to go Fem (Cullen or Blackwall) or eM (Dorian) first....so many play throughs to be had.
I have a feeling it'll be my badAss!Quisitior that rides the Bull though...

Long time lurker here. I wish I could draw or write as good as all of you, I constantly use up all my likes here. I plan to romance Solas first because he has a hidden agenda and I just know that once I romance Cullen I'll never be able to romance anyone else (just like Fenris).

I think I would have Cullen not say the "mages are not like you and me line" especially when there are mages standing right there! I mean Anders isn't even trying to hide.
