It's my first time, too, so I have no idea. Does seem like a lot to me. :shrug:This being the first game that I have actually followed during production, I am unaware if it is normal for so much of the game to be shown before release? I mean the first hour as well as the early access and all of the embargo's coming to an end so there is game play of the prologue everywhere - to me that is a lot.

Agree. No where will be safe. Esp if it's exciting. Folks post even in here without thinking sometimes and then it's too late. Plus, we've already seen that folks have different notions of what a spoiler is. It's good to be cautious. I reeaalllly don't want to see someone else play the first hour of the game. That's like the golden 'getting to know you time' for me, when we'll probably meet Cullen, etc. So, I think I'll be in the non-spoiler group tomorrow til things calm down.
For other warnings, the review embargo ends on Tuesday. So spoilers and info galore!
It's also a good day for those of us who plan to watch to remind everyone when the twitch stream starts to move to the spoilers group. That should help some too.
I've never followed the launch of a game this closely before either, but I know my daughters weren't happy about being spoiled on one of the ME games. It seems like a lot to me too, but once they let the early access people in, there's no point in trying to restrict anything anyway I guess.

It's not common, but it's not unheard of. I remember Far Cry 3 and Skyrim showed their whole opening scenes months before release. I regretted watching the Far Cry one because it set up the whole initial tension of the game, and when I finally got to play it myself that magic of seeing the scene for the first time just wasn't there anymore. Fortunately I held on with Skyrim's opening, it would have been a shame to ruin the impact of that opening scene watching it before I even started my own game. Never again.

Oh dear,I'll never be able to resist all these spoilers!Especially now that I'll have to wait until Christmas to actually play the game..At least my copy of the game will arrive on the 21st so I'll have something to look at. *sobs*
Lol, you know you will be crying yourself to sleep while clutching the game to your chest every night. Eventually you will just lose it and start putting the disc into anything that has disc slot while praying to the Maker that it works. ![]()
Seriously, I do feel for you though! I thought I had it tough waiting until the 21st (I feel cheated by that, to be honest. Considering NZ is the first country to greet the sun each day. I thought we would get it the same day as Australia but nope, even they get it a day ahead.) And then realized I would have to wait near to a week to get the game delivered after release date *sob* but you have to wait until Christmas! Here, let me hug you! *hugs*

Why do you have to wait to play, if you're getting in hand earlier, if I might ask? Aww,I always thought that it's unfair that New Zealand gets the game a week after.Lol, you know you will be crying yourself to sleep while clutching the game to your chest every night. Eventually you will just lose it and start putting the disc into anything that has disc slot while praying to the Maker that it works.

The positive thing is that if I manage to avoid the spoilers I will enjoy the game more after I'm done with my exams.xD

I tell myself I won't watch the stream tomorrow, let's hope I can resist. I've spoiled myself more than enough. Let's hope spoilers are minimal in my favorite threads. ![]()
The THIRST for the game is too much lately, though. D: I think I'll play Origins this week to sober up a bit, I can't concentrate on ANYTHING.

so...just for clarification. Is there a no-spoilers group and the MP group? or are they one and the same? This may be my last day on this thread...I won't be able to resist temptation otherwise. But I figure those on the no-spoiler thread will support me in my quest to remain unspoiled, lol. I'm in the MP group, but if the non-spoilers group is separate I'd like an invite ![]()

They're two separate groups, but the MP group is also supposed to be spoiler free.

Theoretically speaking, any of the public forums can end up being subjected to spoilers. Often times there are lurkers or people who come and go, but will pop up when something is good/exciting and end up posting something they wouldn't realize was not supposed to be posted in said forum. So, just wanted to point that out to be on the safe side.

I just love this scene. So much yum here!
And Cullen being all BAMFy!
When I see cinematics for this game, I feel a physical reaction in my knees.
And sometimes my chest. Playing this may actually be hazardous for my health.

it's just surreal that the game is over here. i remember taking part in a survey for it a loooonnng time ago for it, asking what elements of the previous games you enjoyed, and one of the questions was even asking what name you liked for the game. (i don't remember what i chose but inquisition was not it!) it's just..crazy! it's hard to believe there was a time when we knew nothing about it and it seemed like an eternity before it would be here. now, less than 10 days! i've been reading the first few pages of the character threads and it's so nostalgic. lurking for the longest time, i remember the excitement the moment we found out anything, the first trailers, the first streams, the names of the characters,...damn....it's been a hell of a ride getting here.
i'm probably bowing out real soon, because i've been spoiled enough, but this was an awesome adventure! i can't wait to actually play (i can't believe i can say that now) the game and meet all the awesome characters and explore the world for the first time. like i said, i'm probably a bit too spoiled, but the experience was worth it. knowing all the work and endless nights the devs put in, seeing how much they cared and the passion they have for their work, watching the game evolve..it's something else.
...and meeting all the wonderful people on the bsn, and this thread in particular! i'm more of a lurker, but you guys are an incredible lot. (my cullen hype train is mostly because of you guys.
) it's crazy that waiting for a game can be an adventure, but there you go! what a wonderful adventure it was.
and only less then 10 days before we get so see this wonderful face....

yep. quite the adventure.
