I'm nervous about it, too, but that's just because I'm nervous about all of it.

I really think siding with Josephine a lot and not him will be okay as long as we're respectful and kind to him. He disagrees with Josephine's wide eyed idealism but he certainly doesn't seem to dislike her over it. I imagine we can interact with him in a similar way.

He might even find it charming.


Edit: Also, I know that rivalmance is gone, but I think I read somewhere that they'll acknowledge attraction can exist without a full blown romance, that you can become temporarily involved with someone you don't get along with?

Anyway, my point is that I suspect they're trying to go for more nuance this time around when it comes to ALL relationships than they have before. Something with elements of both games that allows you to have differences with people without that being full blown antagonism.

Or it might just be me hoping. We'll see.

 

Hahah, I sure hope so. I guess I am an idealist of sorts, but I also recognize that there might inevitably be times where I'll have to make tough choices. Plus, it's not like I'm going to just lay down and die if people choose to attack me. I will defend myself. With fire, ice, and pointy objects that could cause death. People are probably going to die regardless of my preferred choices

And yeah, after my first playthrough I'll definitely be playing again with new LIs just to see how their stories turn out. I'm very curious about Blackwall, for one - he's cute in that beardly sort of way. Maybe I'll replay with Cullen as an LI and with slightly different choices too. Hmnnn.

 

Here is a question for you, now they said that once someone is a love interest they will NEVER be a love interest again. In fact after they are a love interest the best you can really hope for is brushing across them from time to time, like Alistair if he is king or the seeing Zevran briefly. Does that bother anyone else that this may very well be the last game we see Cullen in?

 

This occurred to me too, I didn't know they actually said it outright but I just started playing Dragon Age recently and noticed most of my faves barely ever show up again. I sure hope Cullen continues to make cameos in later games given how big his role is this time. Leliana's back with a big part this time around despite her status as a DAO love interest, so I'm somewhat optimistic for now. Unless one of the endings involves his death or something. no pls

I actually don't know what Navilia Trevelyan will look like atm. I have some vague ideas in my head, but they are more feelings then anything else. So I guess I will be spending time in the CC to get her right.

I mean, I can understand where they are coming from not wanting to ship a game with hair that clips into other things. To them that would be sending off a product that is below their standards. It isn't something that I would do in my job and wouldn't expect it of them. My main concern isn't really with the styles but with the textures though I am hoping they will be greatly improved from what we have seen in streams. With that being said, I wouldn't say no to possible future expansions for the CC.

Uh-oh! It seems that the closer we get, the more those spoilers are creeping in. Hell, you never know when some troll might post something spoilery (or whatever else can happen) and that would be very bad for me. Maybe it's safer for me to go on blackout like many others have. 10 more days until the game release, and it feels like forever! 

 

Before I go, I wanna say that even though I joined this group a little late, I am so happy I did. I've had so much fun with you guys. It's been so great to be here!! And I am looking forward to talk to you again. Since I intend to stay unspoiled though, I might be back on the thread after finishing my first PT.

 

@R2's Muse -- I will not be around to see your rest of "12 Days of Cullen" And I love that little project of yours. But I will definitely love to see the rest of it when I return here. I want to see them all your pictures.

Ha ha! I feel like we are all naughty little kids feeling the wrapping over presents to guess what they are without disturbing the wrapping paper so mom and dad don't know. lol. I just want to get a feel for it but dont quite know if I totally want to blow the surprise!
