See, when I look at Cullen standing there, I see a military man at parade rest. So his expression doesn't read "disapproval" it reads, uh, a military level of stoicism. When at parade rest, you're not allowed to talk. It's a waiting stance. So, I see a man who is waiting to be given orders. But that's just me.
Bloodmage isn't on the website, so I'm assuming no bloodmage. They might not have been able to make it work with the new healing mechanics

I think it makes sense, if not from a gameplay standpoint then certainly from a story integration standpoint. If they couldn't get it work within the story, then I can completely understand them dropping that specialization for something else.
