I'm not concerned about Cullens role atall, even although he is our military advisor, I don't see him reaching for or pushing the "lets kick ass option" all that often. I'm sure if it is suggested strongly that it's the only viable course of action, he will have thought it through, pros and cons and he will have considered the potential outcome for good or ill. Although I have no experience and little to no knowledge, I imagine there is way more to a military command than just ordering troops to fight. He may coordinate rescues & help supply refugee camps and such too .

 

Off to see what damage I can do to LC today it seems to be going alright....I think, no drama which makes it pretty boring actually lol

I just want to gush about Greg Ellis' voice work because I love love the direction he took Cullen in. His voice in Inquisition is of a much lower, rougher and more grizzly timber than in the previous two games, but if you compare them all you can really tell that Cullen's the same person, just all grown up. (He's Seen **** and he ain't taking no **** no more sorry) He's still kept that soft-spoken quality while also gaining a more authoritative quality in his voice. When he talks, I definitely hear a Commander talking. And you can hear his new found self-assurance as well! Even when he's hmming and ahing awkwardly over being hit on.  And I love that he does that, because 1) it's a natural reaction so it makes him seem more human, and 2) it shows a touch of that awkwardness and politeness that we're accustomed to ("I'm flattered but I'm not interested and I want you to know that without offending you too much also I'd like this conversation to end now please.")

 

Also, I find his new voice sexy in the same way that Garrus' voice was sexy. (Dose subharmonics man.  ) There's such a smooth and rich quality in his voice, like chocolate. And sex. And silk. And all number of all the sexy things. If he were to drawl, I feel like you could hear him purr.

 

I just have such a thing for voices (reason why I'm into Garrus in a huge way), and I feel like I could listen to Cullen talk for ages. Which I did in DA2... (why yes Cullen tell me how you're hearing disturbing rumours about me again please I'm not sure I heard you correctly the first time) but I mean. *incoherent blabber*

Also, does anyone know/remember if we got any tidbits on how flirting works? If it'll be like in Origins, where you have a few chances and different ways to initiate a romance (all of my Couslands started their romance with Alistair using different dialogue options at different points of the game because I was experimenting. I eventually decided my favourite way to do it was to tell him that of course I like you for you you big dummy, right after he tells you that he's Maric's bastard in Redcliffe), or if it'll be like in DA2, where if you don't choose all the flirting options when they appear you'll be locked out?

 

I get the feeling (and really hope) that it's more like Origins, because I'm going to be doing some heavy RPing and I don't think my Inquisitor is going to be in a mental or emotional headspace where she'll be flirting right off the bat. Eventually she'll get back to being her flirty snarky self, but not right away, and maybe not as much as she was before... (although that's where I'll be delving in to headcanon instead of relying on game mechanics.)

The only thing I know about flirting option is it is in some way tied to the hidden approval rating...and it can fail or succeed. They have been very cagey about it....not long now....soooooon we shall know.

anyway i'm happy we're free to flirt, i will love making cullen all awkward and blushy with oisin - my gay inquisitor i got for dorian, additional role playing bonuses! (: (dorian wants to roll with him, doesn't mean he can't have his eye on our sexy commander ;p)

 

also i will headcanon the theory, that cullen is so gorgeous, sexy, and handsome, that NO ONE CAN RESIST HIS CHARM! all resistance is futile xD

I haven't read any of the reviews, just glanced at scores, it's obvious that they've done a great job, quite a few seem to be calling for GoTY too That would be so awesome.

  So I have been watching a few small streams on twitch and youtube and I see these people playing together and talking together while playing so now I have to ask... Am I the only person who absolutely refuses to let anyone watch me play? Is there anyone else who understand when I say gaming and my choices in games are so very personal not only do I now want others to know my decisions but I also dont want others to pass judgment on the decisions I have made.

  So am I the only one with this very guarded behavior when it comes to gaming or are others out there that way too?

That'll be my Inquisitor as well.

 

My canon Warden was a little more reserved, but my Dwarf Commoner and Human Nobles, as well as most of my Hawke's ended up being such terrible flirts they'd hit on everybody in sight, including some of the bad guys like Meredith. What can I say, I love a little bit of Foe Yay?!

 

If the Inquisitor can mockingly flirt with the Elder One, that will make my game!

I don't think there's anything in the Keep about the mage Origin, so with the possible exception of a Leliana-Surana/Amell romance which could lead to conversation between him and Leliana because they both knew/know her, I actually would be surprised if he makes any reference to a mage warden flirtation now.

They don't ask if she propositioned him? I'm shocked.

The Keep knows if your origin was a female mage, which should be enough since there isn't really a choice to be made beyond that. The game doesn't establish if you had a relationship with him, and the mention in DA2 didn't have anything to do with whether Amell flirted with Cullen or chased him or anything. So the Keep knows if the Warden was an Amell or Surana, which is enough to know that he had a connection to the Warden.
